Error compiling pixel shader PSAlphaOnlyMod

Ok, I looked in the trouble shooting and cannot find the explanation or topic for this error, can someone help? I am getting antsy cause my ArmA won't start, maybe the government is behind this. *starts to panic* paranoia*

Give us more details, like what mod are you running or what version of ArmA you have installed.

For me that error happen when I try to run ArmA 1.14 as a mod and with the version 1.08 of arma.exe or when I try to run a beta patch.

Ok, what I did was run the patch 1.14 over 1.08. I don't yet have a new short cut for it and I'm using the typical ArmA short cut with all the nosplash, nomap, CSM, etc etc mods. I think I also have ESP on it as well. The frst error says

"Addon 'DBE1_Hotfix' requires addon DBE1"

and then it says

"No Entry 'bin\config.bin/CfgDifficulties/regular/flags.VonID'

then the screen blacks like as if the game is launching then BLAM!!

the error messege:

'Error compiling pixel shader PSAlphaOnlyMod'

then total silence desktop

Try to re-install the game....

Or don't use QG and see what happens.

what do you need? the short cuts of the 1.14 version or the 1.08 ?

I run the 1.14 like as a mod because I still playing with my team mates in the 1.08 and sometimes I use the 1.14 for International battles.

I think you don't have "-mod=beta;DBE1;" in your shortcut.

i think I might have to re install evrything, I have so much junk in my arma folders heh. I have a lot of work ahead of me.

make sure you don't have -mod=beta there in your shortcut

same, make sure your game uses the \arma\arma.exe and not \arma\beta\arma.exe

Regarding the other class von id, that is not set in your arma.cfg or armaprofile.cfg (can;t remember). It might be the usernameprofile in your arma other profiles folder

Woohooo!, it works now, I had to do a fresh re-install of the game up to 1.14. thanks a million guys.
