Planck 1 Posted October 31, 2007 O2 likes to load tga, so, if you convert your textures to tga it should load them ok. At least when I use O2 I never use paa or pac, always tga. O2 converts the tga to paa on the fly when I load a model that has been textured with tga, even the texture paths in the model itself point to tga textures. All the conversion work for rvmat, config.cpp textures etc etc is done at packing time by the other BI tools. Why fight the tools by insisting on trying to load paa. NonWonderDog 0 Posted October 31, 2007 It loads .paa files fine for me, as long as I have them in a P:\mymod\data\ folder and point the texture paths to mymod\data\mytexture.paa . The data directory is probably unnecessary, but that's the file structure used by BIS. What I can't get it to do is load textures in the UV mapper. It complains about "cannot open bitmap." Do I have to convert the textures to bitmaps or something in order to use this? And where do I put them? I confess I haven't tried it with Targas.
Planck 1 Posted October 31, 2007 Never really played at all with the UV editor, but I had a look today. It doesn't load paa files, as you say, but tga files it likes. Planck
