Sad to say, but I didn't really like the OFP Elite xbox version at all. I really like the FPS for computers , and thought the mission editing was very weak.

Anyone else agree?

I don't agree but I do understand why you are saying this. Coming from the highly adapdable PC editor to the xbox one would probably turn you off. But none the less its a great game for the box.

I hardly ever play it for the xbox any more but it is a great game. It really all depends if you can find a good group of people to play with online. Unfortunatly the better players tend to keep their rooms locked so its hard to jump into some of the better games.

Try some pilot down thats one of the maps I have great fun with or blitz which is almost just as fun.

Maybe that's why, I don't have Xbox live Posted Image

OFP for PC is a classic though, so dont think I'm dissing the whole OFP series.

Your frame of reference is clouding your perceptions of the OpFlash:Elite editor.

Compare the editor in OpFlash to any of the editors available for other XBox games and the Elite editor shines ever so brightly above the others. Add to this the community tools to let you port over missions from the PC side and Elite is almost boundless in its ability to expand.

Hear, hear King. While the Elite editor is not quite all it should be, there are some amazingly creative work arounds contained within these pages to make up the difference.

Or if you know the pc editor well, why not port missions over from that, it's simple enough. All you really need to know are the basics from the "Porting PC Missions" thread and the Eliteness program from OFPEC's Tool Depot (clicking my sig will take you there)

I thought it was a great solid release especially considering what kind of hardware the xbox has. Only for me the screen fov seemed to small on some TVs here (bit of zoomed in?).

OFP:E is darn-near bugless. Wish the same could be said for OFP:CWC, OFP:R or ArmA.

OFP:E bugs I can think of off the top of my head.

You can swim using a bicycle.
I hear the bus also boats in water.
You can still run uphill by side-strafing.
Possible leaderboard issues, not uploading for certain missions.
Trouble using the laser-designator on the OH-58 Kiowa.
The Load waypoint doesn't seem to work in the mission editor because of the lack of the ability to synchronize waypoints.

Yep, that's all I can think of, at the moment.

The game is rock-solid and the A.I. will astound you. Hesitance about how the controls would turn out was washed away by the game's release.

It's a beauty. Naxasta and I had some great games, last night. Lots of fun, laughs and amazement at how the A.I. was outsmarting us.

Nicely said. I wish this dam game was bc. Mayber we could get everyone to make the company request it. Backwords compatible on 360. If that was the case you could expect to see maybe a couple hundred more players.

I'd still play it if it was 360 BC.

I just use OFP on PC now, but Id still have the odd game on OFP:E if it was BC.

Me too. Perhaps we could get the company to request it to be BC. That would surely work.

I think Elite was a solid release. It was alot of fun to play the campign with the "in-between" OPF and ArmA visuals.

Yeah, in terms of performance it also shines. Very minimal FPS dropping even in the densiest areas. No major bugs either.

Someone commented on the zoon level. Yeah, the field of view seems to be a bit tighter. The FOV level seemed a bit more natural, like looking through a window (even though this of course made the field of view smaller).
