This addon replaces most of the original OFP sounds with sounds from Elite. I recommend using a modfolder to avoid any problems.

This pack replaces all the sounds in Sounds.PBO with the sounds from Elite.

Not necessarily. I mean, look at Limewire and Bittorrent at all. No-one is making money by posting up music for people to download, but its still illegal. Perhaps a mod could shed some light on this matter

Nice job, I much prefer Elite sounds over PC default sounds.

When you say 'People' though, does that include the Radio Chatter, as that is the one thing that I dont find as good in Elite.

And what do you mean by Animals too. The sounds you can add via Triggers?

I don't see much change in UI sounds and radio remains the same. Altough, nice work.

People is the name of one of the folders inside of the Sounds.PBO. It contains all the sound effects found in 'Trigger/Effects/Voice' inside of the OFP editor.

weird, I excracted to data, overwritten the sound.pbo but the seventh etc songs are still there, am I doing something wrong? I cant find any of it help.gif

Yeah, but they probably have kept some sounds from PC version, altough it does replace all of the files, some of them are same as on PC.

Open the editor, load desert island, place a US soldier and then fire your M16 wink_o.gif

Hmm that's strange. I don't know what's wrong then, but you could try to create a modfolder, like this; Elite\dta\Sounds.PBO

Edit: Ok, you have to use a mod folder. It won't work if you simply replace the Dta\Sounds.PBO

Maybe you must overwrite res/dta/sound.pbo too? huh.gif

EDIT: Because I neither go any result by overwriting dta/sound.pbo

I used a modfolder and the sounds are great.

Not all the sounds from Elite are there though. For instance the Steyr still sounds the same where as in Elite i'm pretty sure it has more of a 'thud', and other stuff is not there which was in Elite.

However, FFARing something has neever sounded so good - a real 'BOOM' sound. PK/M60/M2 sound better now too, as do Jeep driving, etc.

Some stuff seems to half work. Like the Vulcan cannon on the A10 is changed, but it has stayed the same on the Cobra, where as in Elite the Cobras cannon is changed too.

So it's hit and miss, but well worth it i think.

The STEYR sound for OFP is defined in the Steyr.pbo, where as for Elite all the sounds are in Sound.pbo ergo the sound isn't overwritten.

If you want to overwrite sound.pbo you'll need to overwriter res/dta/sound.pbo, or both sound.pbo files (which I did)
