15th PLA 45th Airborne Division

I have updated the 15th PLA mod to take into account the newest update from the VME mod. Please forgive me if there are some errors as one of my kids decided that Gary's Mod was more important than my faction mod...

 

I will be updating the Classname headers and descriptions soon and will be posting up another video for you guys to see what all is in the faction for your usage.

Have you tried the VME PLA mod? It doesn't have vehicles yet but they're working on them, and the quality is pretty damn good.

Screenshots are coming today; have done a few small edits to the overall ORBAT configs to eliminate units that were too big for transport vehicles. VME is the base for this faction and I have tweaked a few aspects of it. 

 

Also any troops such as Airborne units you will have to add those via Zeus when you are playing around in your mission.

Discovered a bug that appears to be with the faction in a mission I am working on. The various PLA unit members are appearing to spawn without items in their inventory and some without clothing. Checking on the various file and will update as necessary.

@john1 Did you look through the classnames? If not then; No at this time I am relying on the actual mod makers since I am not a modeler. I am waiting on VME to get their helos from Pook or either Pook to finish up his new helos and maybe have a chinese pla flag on the airframe.

Small update to the overall file and still working on problem with AI not spawning with more than 1 magazine in loadout.

Update:

 

  • Working on a way to reduce mod requirements with vehicles and moving away from Massi. If this happens it will be a short term fix until VME releases their next update with vehicles, aircraft and boats.
  • Getting various reports of issues related to guns not appearing or being functional. I am investigating this to see what might be the cause and track down issues.
  • Also recoding the faction to find a work around for faction not spawning with extra gear due to a bug that popped up in 1.68 Arma 3. As soon as this is able to be fixed it will happen. Otherwise this work around is going to take a long time for me to get right.

Update:

 

  • Still working on a way to reduce mod requirements. Taking a little longer than expected.
  • Reports of issues with guns in the mod not working are basically down to people not following the requirements as listed in the Steam Workshop.
  • Faction recode work around did not work. Still having issues with units spawning in ALiVE but the Zeus spawned units are functioning properly. Going to work on this from a different perspective to see what will work.

Completely rebuilt mod as a result of the changes in the mod requirements due to the issues with Massi's vehicles and some other items being removed from Steam Workshop. Have removed all the Massi requirements and replaced with RHS as this is still a WIP mod that will be continue to be updated as new items come out and are made available. The ultimate goal is to go entirely to VME once they have the mod completely worked out.
