Memory Crash at Startup

Hi there,

 

I've been playing this game without startup crashes for over a year, and this just started happening last night:

I run the game without mods, it pulls up a black window (I assume trying to load) for about 10 seconds, and then the game crashes, throwing me this error:

ErrorMessage: Out of memory (requested 0 KB).
  footprint 3423870976 KB.
  pages 32768 KB.

The footprint number fluctuates a bit every time it crashes.

 

I've already tried the following:

• Verifying game cache through Steam
• Deleting/re-downloading game executables
• Restarting my computer
• Updating NVidia drivers
• Running game with and without administrator privileges

 

Can anyone give any insight to what my problem might be? Again, this only started happening last night--before then the game was running very smoothly, even with 30+ mods enabled.

I've been having problems during the game these past few days. Everything was normal. It looks like there was an update and the game was unstable. I've never had a problem with ARMA3 ever since. Now the game breaks as soon as it starts or it does not last 5 minutes of game and date! In any mode. Memory error appears and the game ends and closes. I've tried everything the sites / forums teach and the problem has not been solved. Even I formatted my computer (Win 10 x64) I installed everything from the beginning, I downloaded the whole game again thinking it would solve and nothing was solved. I do not know what can be done. I tried all the tips of the Forums. I am an experienced PC user.

For any crash that occurs, including an RPT file would be especially helpful to try to figure out what is going on.

You should be able to find the RPT files in your user local directory:

C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local\Arma 3\

Solve this problem.

 

Go to this folder:

C:\Users\User_name\Documents\Arma 3 - Other Profiles

 

In this folder, go to your arma3 profile folder, and find file:

*name*.vars.Arma3Profile

 

Make a copy, then delete it from this folder.

 

Start game, and Enjoy!
