What is involved with vegetation to A3 standards?

Mainly talking about a porting from A2 to A3 situation, yet general overview of important and relevant aspects would be useful to anyone.

 

Definition: Vegetation includes trees, bushes and clutter/grass.

So topics I am looking for:

  • How many Resolution LODs
  • Recommended vertices in 1st RES LOD
  • Max textures size
  • How to set up PhysX LOD
  • Is model mass still relevant - just total mass or distributed
  • Or what determines if vehicles can drive over bushes/trees, how much damage is taken, how much their speed is reduced
  • How to make it possible to hide in a bush/tree - aka not (extensively blocked by the trunk or branches)
  • Any recommendations on penetration rvmt assignment in FIRE GEO LOD
  • What is the situation on AI view block these days
  • Possible to define camo selections for reskin (with dummy config class) or does one have to duplicate the model
