germanske_norge 43 Posted May 26, 2016 Anyone else feel like it completely kills the immersion half the time? It's already hard enough to get a Rifle on target with the horrible fatigue and sway mechanics (apparently an infantry soldier is unable to keep his weapon somewhat still if he's taken just a few steps) but the damage seems ridiculously low too. I mean 5-6 5.56 shots to the chest to down someone? I've watched dozens of hours of Modern Day Combat Footage, and I have never once seen someone take that many rounds, 1-2 of ANY caliber is usually enough to at the very least eliminate someone's fighting capabilities, if not outright kill them. Why am I popping AI with 3,4,5 5.56/6.5mm rounds and they're still standing straight up and returning accurate fire? Body Armor can't be the answer, Body Armor does not completely invalidate the force of bullets, the user is still often completely unable to return fire for a short period of time.
Mirek 166 Posted May 27, 2016 I agree with you about the damage model, that should be somewhat adjusted. I completely disagree with you about the Fatigue system. Iam a active shooter, and iam also an active sportsman so i am not fatigued easily, and i can assure you that standing still with your gun risen for more than 20 seconds is enough to make your sights sway like mad. Usualy i need to lower my veapon and take few breaths every 5 rounds to be able to shoot straight. And thats without being fatigued by running. And also there is allready thread about the F*cked up damage system of arma (flinching mechanics) and the thread is even founded by you if i remeber correctly, so i dont undertand why you make another one.
Blafirelli 24 Posted May 30, 2016 Imho lot of the damage is absorbed by technically advanced body armor, resulting in more shots needed for incapacitation. What we have now, however, shouldn't even be called damage model, since there is no wound modelling at all :)

joostsidy 682 Posted May 31, 2016 Are you engaging csat? Try use the guer forces. With the shitty bandolier and beanie hat. For more 'traditional' fights I have made BLUFOR vs Rebel missions. Rebels (FIA) are BLUFOR by default, but you can spawn them as OPFOR faction. Together with some specific gear selections I made an 'evil' rebel force that you can use in NATO vs Rebels or FIA vs Rebels battles. These guys go down easily :-)
