This addon provides the EF-2000 fighter plane.

 

The primary focus is intended to be a community-based content release; therefore anyone who wishes to use a customized version in their mod is free to do so, as long as the license requirements below are observed... enjoy!

 

No one may charge for, or receive financial compensation for use of, or access to, any part of this addon in any way or form, including "perk"-based access, and especially no use is permitted on "life" servers.

- FIX:  Corrected shadow bug on distance lods
 - FIX:  Corrected memory point configuration to allow compatibility with both Sabre's C-130 aerial refueling system AND Fuller's USAF mod refuel system.
 - FIX:  Corrected missing ARM missile launch actions for POOK_SAM Anti-Radiation Missile (ARM) weapons.  Actions assume a POOK_SAM ARM missile is equipped and will error if an ARM weapon is not equipped.  This was added in anticipation of SEAD weapons via RangeMaster.

FEATURES

 

 

Detailed Textures

Decal overlays to allow real details instead of "red smudge" textures.  Detail decals also on the new weapons (and fuel tanks)

Ejection Seat

I built it with the idea that mission makers could add a "document" item to the seat to simulate Behind Enemy Lines data disk retrieval scenarios.

Formation Lights

Action-enabled.  INIT check will automatically turn on lights if spawned during night time hours.

Articulated Surfaces

Surfaces on the real plane are pre-set by the onboard computer at different speeds.  This feature is modeled in the addon and you can visually notice the changes at different speeds.  Some features like the nosecone can be articulated on the tarmac, allowing mission makers to simulate "under repair" planes 🙂

Fully articulated deployable chute.

TRD - Towed Radar Decoy

The TURD!  🙂

 

The TRD provides "active spoofing" countermeasures against incoming enemy missiles.  Jamming script simulates real life towed decoy EW capabilities.  The TRD is an action-deployed item.  It provides the pilot some defense against missiles (such as my POOK_SAM pack) for better surviveability.

PULLUP indicator, RWR, and MFD TV

Bitching Betty "pullup" sounds and the big "X" overlay.  MFD TV is pointed downward at about 30 degrees.  One can somewhat rely on the display for dumb bomb runs.  WORKING RWR display!  The list of recognized SAM's will cause the RWR to illuminate the "type" indicator.  Any unidentified SAM will be illuminated as "S".  Complete details are found in the guide.

Dynamic loadouts

Uses new Jets DLC loadout selector, and several mission-specific selections.

 

Now provides Vanilla faction support as well as CUP support (via separate download).  Additional factions may be added in the future.

I was thinking "whats an EF-2000?" until I googled it and saw it's the Eurofighter. For some reason I had not seen that abbreviation before.Thanks for adding one of my favourite planes mate-looks great!

ENGINE NOISES:  I have copied the CUP sounds so as to vary the engine noises from the default sounds.  That being said, I can hear engine noises perfectly when running this w/ CUP.

 

Those w/o engine noises, can you specify what mods you're running?  Perhaps there's a conflict somewhere.  It would be easy enough to remove the class Sounds section and fall back to the default A3 sounds...

 

 

 

I see its signed, but where do i find the server-key ?

 

On OFPEC, of course!  :)

Sorry i have no clue to what "ofpec" is, im just used to the server-key is included in the mod download or at least avail from the same place where i downloaded the mod. I can find some ofpec forum but not been lucky enough to spot a server-key for this mod. Can you be more specific ?

The British CAP version doesn't have any weapons on it. Is that me or does anyone else have that issue

I figured out why sounds don't work for me.

The AV-8B folder was replaced with a different version, from next CUP stable patch all these sounds will be removed.

I suggest you replace them with the ones from one of the vanilla planes.

OFPEC is the editing centre a resource for all things OFP/Arma editing. Its where an initiative was created for addon makers to have tags and keys stored. This was started in OFP times.

 

For example all my addons are prefixed rki_, whereas hcpookie are prefixed POOK_ . Keys can be found on this page: (http://www.ofpec.com/tags/index.php?action=keys)

I made a little work on the textures, I have to remake the bottom panels, fix some of the top panels (under the canopy looks horrible) and find where some other things are on the texture (the right position of the tail and the black part around the canopy) but it's already looking good ;)

Hcpookie I can send you the textures to use them as base texture when I have finished, let me know if you want!

YES I left the "test" model in the config (my mistake!) so the "real" CAP version has weapons, but the "test" version (named CAP also!!!) has no weapons.  I will remove that from the config!
