Terrain Processor Freezing/Crashing

Recommended Posts

So I've been following the Terrain Processor tutorial very closely, and its been going well so far until now. I'm on this step currently:

And I've set everything up just fine:

But when I run the task, I just get this, and the program freezes up and stops responding:

Ive double checked my work and I seem to be doing everything right, but i just cant figure this out. is there something im doing wrong? or is there a way around this? I cant do anything more really until this is resolved.

Try setting it to the default arma settings

Eastings 200000

Northing 0

Zone 31

I've never used TP to do a heightmap, I use Global Mapper so it may not work. TP is very temperamental and might just close on you lol

Yea, that didn't work unfortunately. How does one do it with Global Mapper?

My East coordinate is 328000 and my North coord is 5248500, and My map is going to be 4096 cells at 3m cell size.

I appreciate any help :)

As far as I know your easting should always be 200000 and northing 0 for everything to work but I could br wrong.

Terrain processor is and has been really crashy since it came out so I am not surprised at all. I would just use some other tool to do the job.

Yea, I just learned how to convert the heightmap with Global Mapper. Now i just have to figure out how to make A proper surface mask from OSM Data.

You can make the surface mask in TB using polygons, then export shapes to image. Don't forget your limited to 4-6 colours per cell/grid/whatever people call it lol

Export the height.asc from TB, use that and it's fine for TP.
