It seems like you've created the foundation of hand-to-hand combat, and then extended that to lightsaber combat. Would you consider the possibility of releasing a medieval sword mod using that shared hand-to-hand combat? You've done so well with animations and the striking that it would be a shame if it was limited to only lightsabers.

Nonetheless, your mod work has always amazed me.

Was this taken down, or  is it part of Imperial Assault?

Imperial Assault "voluntarily" shut down out of the fear of potential legal recourse, because in recent years (and especially around the time the team shut down) Disney has been taking considerable action against unlicensed Star Wars-related content creators, modders included.

IA's fate was sealed well over a year ago, so considering that these updates are very recent, you can assume it's a separate but active project (McRuppert was part of the IA team, however.)

To do away with the copyright problems, this could be more than "just" a star wars mod. The animations and the system in general could be the foundation for a "melee weapons combat mod".

I would like to see sword, clubs, axes and more.

So far, this is excellent work. Would be a shame if it wasn´t continued due to copyright issues.

Impressive.....most impressive.
Seriously, top notch on the animation and scene set up..the humor was great too, gave me a flashback to shadows of the empire.

I KNEW that somebody still had this AT ST lying around :D

Thank you again.

It's worth calling out that many of the assets used in this video are from the Imperial Assault mod. Some of it is stuff we never released. The AT-ST model was made by @Macser for his CWA Hoth mod so full credit goes to him for that. He kindly gave us permission to use it.

Great work on the video mate. This could turn into a video series "The Adventures of Miller" :)

EDIT:

For anyone interested in seeing other unreleased work from Imperial Assault I have just posted a link to an image library

Any updates? Any thoughts of releasing what you have already done so that the community can test/contribute? No reason to go at it alone if you don't have to. We need this mod! It completely changes the game for Arma 3. Actual melee animations and a real fighting system! It doesn't even have to be SW. It could be baseball bats, we just need it!

I can agree with you that ArmA needs a melee system, but you're digging up an old thread which is against the rules.  Best to head over to the ArmA discord and chat with some of the guys over there about a melee system or make a separate post.  Very few are able to make a melee system and even then they already got a lot on their plate.

Old? It's not that old, plus it's a development thread. I'm not allowed to ask of there are any updates? I should create a new thread to the other thousands that the mods have to filter thru instead of keeping the post localized?

No you are not.

Asking about updates is considered spam. Mostly because it doesn't add anything other than attracting people to see what was posted. Only to find it's someone looking for a few scraps of info.   If everybody visiting decides to do that it could be a few pages of questions that go nowhere.

A modder will keep a thread updated if they have anything new. Generally if they don't post anything in a while, it's because they've moved onto other things. Or taken a break.
