spam starts the day after forum upgrade?

Am I the only user who is getting this?

 

A day after the last forum software change, I start getting this spam to the email address I use here. Although I've had this domain and address for many years, I very rarely get spam to it, until now. So I do suspect the security of the forums or some of the software in use here might not be quite as secure or as well configured as it might be.

 

Note that the ***SPAM*** was added by my email server. Also, this isn't all of the messages, some were deleted before I realised there was something unusual about them

Yeah, got the same problem with Czeck language spam mails. The answer of the biforum support was 'these mails aren't connected with bohemia interactive company'. Lol.

Is it possible it was filtered before you saw it?

Not unless it was a one-time thing from around the forum migration that hit the gmail spam folder and has already been deleted.

 

Though, I wouldn't think that has happened, as once spammers have your email address they don't stop :)

 

Messages in the spam folder are deleted after 30 days.

 

I have over 1100 emails, but all are forum notifications from this site.

 

On the other hand, I used a different email address for the feedback.arma3 page. That site is also still under a separate registration that isn't integrated to the bohemia site registration at large (as far as I know). So, if spammers were getting email addresses from a Bohemia-run site, it seems that could be a candidate. Unfortunately, I can't confirm or deny that as my registration address for the feedback tracker is/was already raped by spammers.
