Summary:

A recent detonatioon has been detected by seismographs in a depopulated part of Kazakhstan. A flyover by a KH-13 satellite confirmed an underground detonation of a non-nuclear, kiloton-rated exotic warhead through the emergence of a large crater. A second flyover revealed a massive build-up of Russian military forces in the area, presumably to assess the impact and aftermath of this new type of warhead.

Considering the lack of intelligence on this new weapon, the Joint Chiefs of Staff are worried. The DoD has ordered a raid to gather soil samples from the blast site. A team of Navy SEALs were inserted by an MV-22 but were met with large caliber arms fire and large infantry opposition. All units are KIA. They have left an engineering UAV on site with which to collect the samples, as well as an Mk6 mortar for support. You will be dropped in with a CH-47 towing a Stomper RCWS. We suggest you get in, collect the samples and get out as fast as you can.

That's one hell of a great mission SPhoenix! For experienced teams only and for pilots that can insert and extract from/to hot LZ while sling loading ;)

SPhoenix, this mission is incredibly creative/unusual/refreshing/awesome! Voice acting is really a plus and great scenario... I´d love to play it SP but if I put the mission on missions folder I get an error that crashes Arma3 ("author put @ instead of &" kinda error... happened before with other missions, I usually play COOP mission on SP, they rarely are MP exclusive or throw this error, but it happens...)

Of course I can play it on LAN with bots, but couldn´t you scale it down (roughly 3 samples instead of all those (not gonna spoil) and perhaps some AH-64 CAS for helping cleaning those ruskies around?) for some SP fun? Anyway, hope to see some campaign (I mean, real SP campaign, to be played on campaign tabs, like Resist/Dying Ember/East Wind) or some well scripted/creative SP scenarios like this and Extreme Measures someday! (maybe it is all those crappy missions on steam, but i really miss this kind of craftsmenship on missions for A3 lately... glad to play yours/RWO/walk in the dark etc...)

[EDIT] after the first collected sample, it was almost impossible to hit the right possition to enable "collect NBC sample"... I´ve kept moving around the UCGV but the option just blimped for a fraction of second everytime, couldn´t continue the mission... is there another (more reliable than scroll action) way to make the command for the collect sample script???

I'd have to think about adapting it for SP, it definitely needs work. The main question here is which role to give the player to keep the mission fun...

I can't promise anything because that's quite unusual for me and I already have a few things in the pipeline.

As for the difficulty of the scroll action, the action is on the laptop at the back of the UGV. Were you indeed trying to access it this way? They didn't seem to have this issue when CiA played it through and local behavior seems normal. Can you MP me the details? If you can, could you try recording the issue?

Sounds like a great mission, any way that you are going to take of the

requirement for the SF Addon and create an ACE3 version?
