LIFTER for ArmA 3

Recommended Posts

Great addon!!!! I just wish it would have a little physics movements apply to it. I wonder how difficult that would be? Like on Take on Helicopter

@Odyseus

There is very little data on physical objects in ArmA 3. For now we are flying blind. But we will not surrender.

@cuel

Warning Message: No entry 'bin\config.bin/CfgModels.default'.

This error should be corrected for v1.01. It has been updated?

The rest of the RPT warnings have already been corrected, but will come in another update (1.02?) Along with improvements in the physics of drop charging and operating limitations in helicopter loaded.

Thanks for the feedback.

First Great Mod you have created. I was wondering if anyone can tell me where to get the cargo boxes that are on a pallet like in the picture of the mod. Thanks in advance.

Excellent mod! well done.

Have you though of adding fast-rope ability to aircraft in the same mod? I'd imaging it would share a lot of similar code to do......

Hey, :)

Thanks for the Update its really cool, now you can lift up the containers and water tanks too :)

But i got two questions again :D

First, when you lift up a container its always so:

arma32014-02-2420-18-g1upw.jpg

i know this container is really big but it happens with the smaller ones too :)

And i dont know if you can maybe change that?

Like so:

air_ch-47_w_iso_contasuu3n.jpg

Would be cool :)

And, maybe you could add these choppers? :)

http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?171234-MOD-NATO-Hellcats

And yeah as i sad before, awesome work i love it :)

@Sahloknir

Since my brother had reported me the problem of containers. I altered the script to "always" orient the object so that its largest dimension (width or length) is paired with the direction of the helicopter. That will solve that problem encountered with many objects "container" class

th_107410_2014-02-25_00001.png

To be included in the next update (v1.02), plus support for multiple mods not included in the initial version and (cross your fingers), with slings affected by the physics of flight (still in testing).

As for the NATO-Hellcats, these helicopters are already recognized by LIFTER. (The tested?).

Keep the feedback.

Hey,

Aaaah nice work with the containers :o Love it! :)

yep i tested it with the NATO AW159 Armed BlackCats Version. It worked not, because there is no "Drop Slings" in the action menu.

Hope you understand how i mean, my english is not the best :D

Hahaha, do not worry, I attend a translator to correct my English.

About Hellcats ...

It's weird because all class names are listed:

"I_HELI_LIGHT_03_UNARMED_F","AW159_TRANSPORT_BLACK","AW159_TRANSPORT_GREEN","AW159_TRANSPORT_GREY","AW159_TRANSPORT_CAMO","AW159_TRANSPORT_BLACKATS","GLT_SKYLYNX_UNARMED"

I will be downloading the mod again, to see if its creator has altered the definitions.

UPDATE:

Classes are good. It will be uploaded to the transport version and not the armed version?

@Scar.arg

Class names should be written in capital letters. Send me an PM indicating that vehicle or mod it and will add a the next upgrade.

@zach72

v1.02 (01/03/2014 release) will include such vehicles.

New version (v1.02) in first post!.

PromoLifterA3_11.jpg

Enjoy!.

This version, plus the added support multiple mods in use, contains two important additions:

1 - Free Animations sling, pretending (as best I could) the gravity pulling it while maneuvering the helicopter.

In testing, this attachment, helped greatly in setting the approach and position on the load being lifted.

2 - the object transported, to be released with the helicopter speed, acquires inertia, and behavior in the same direction, causing the fall is very credible.

There are few imperfections with some objects that do not possess the physical and mod is covered with a simulated gravity routine. (To be adjusted according to the feedback).
