BWMod for Arma III

Introduction

The BWMod team's goal is to supply the Arma 3 community with a set of vehicles, weapons and equipment to be used in 2020 by the German Army, like the IdZ system and vehicles currently being introduced, such as the IFV Puma.
We are not associated with the BWMod for OFP and the earlier Arma games, but since the team around that mod abandoned the project, we will continue where they left of and equip players with high-quality vehicles and weapons.

Wow! What a glorious surprise is this sudden release, outstanding!

I have just one question, as there´s no ingame help for it and no mention of commands in the mod manual: how do we toggle the GL ranges? Ctrl+L toggles light and laser pointer, Ctrl+N toggles the NVsight for the optics, can I assume that Ctrl+Page Up/Down toggle the GL ranges? [EDIT] No it is not... in fact, this mod changes the keys for toggling GL ranges for all weapons =/ Could it be the Puma userconfig that is changing it??? [Edit 2] Yep, the Puma userconfig disables the Pg Up/Dn for gl range and zeroing.. just put // in the line

//#define BWA3_PUMA_BRIGHTNESS_UP 201

//#define BWA3_PUMA_BRIGHTNESS_DOWN 209

cheers!

Very nice mod. The Puma is absoulutly brilliant.

Some textures might need to be reworked a little bit like the helmet which look to "clean".

But overall very good quality.

Keep up the good work!

Some questions:

- Will you add supressors for the weapons later?

- Will you add backpacks for the infantry?

----------------------------------------------

Wie geil ist das denn? Ich kann nicht mehr :) :) :) :)

I found that the optics can't display well with TMR mod. When using TMR mod with these optics, you will see two crosshair coincide in a line, one is the origin crosshair and one is the TMR crosshair.

I have a problem with the mod, which is related to the userconfig:

I usually install mods for Arma 3 into my "My Documents" folder since that allows me to keep game and mods on different disks. Unfortunately, BWMod searches the userconfig file in @bwa3\userconfig instead of the normal Arma 3\userconfig, which makes it impossible to install the mod anywhere else but the game's directory, not even a subfolder of the game.

It would be great if it would be possible to move the userconfig to it#s usual place so the mod can be installed anywhere.

Other than that, great mod! Looking forward to make Bundeswehr missions!

Thank you very much for this release! We really appreciate all your efforts and your time you have put into the mod and therefore the Arma community.

What I find rather unfortunate is that you don't allow to distribute the mod by other means. My community is using ARMA3Sync and we use this tool as a service which spares everyone involved a lot of trouble and simplifies the addon/mod management in Arma. I hope to see that the BWMod team changes its mind and allows to distribute their work in other ways as well.

Best regards

Raspu

Mod looks great so far, but i couldn't get none of your inbuilt features to work with the Puma or the Laser/Light Module.

CBA_A3 is running and i've got the userconfig in place (well, your readme didn't state where it has to go, so i left it where it was.)

Speed Limiter in the Puma doesn't work, nor does the Rear View Camera, nor does the Rangefinder in the Puma, so i can't use the Weapons on board. Smokescreen does'nt deploy, and with the LLM, i can't switch between laser or lights, it just does nothing at all.

Since i'm the only one to report this issue, i guess i must have placed something somewhat wrong, so i'm gonna ask here, where does the userconfig go, and are the buttons (on your website) still correct, concerning these special functions. Would really like to be able to use the Puma, but without the Weapon Zeroing, the Wepon doesn't shoot - or rather, the bullets drop out of the gun with zero velocity :D

Like Varanon said already in #18 it should stay where it is.

What are the other mods you use currently?

And the buttons did not change, as far as i know.

I found that the optics can't display well with TMR mod. When using TMR mod with these optics, you will see two crosshair coincide in a line, one is the origin crosshair and one is the TMR crosshair.

It seems like our weapons are just not working with the way TMR changes the optics. Depending on how TMR achives this we might be able to make it compatible with BWA3.

It would be great if it would be possible to move the userconfig to it#s usual place so the mod can be installed anywhere.

We will look into this issue. This should be rather easy to change in a future release.

Mod looks great so far, but i couldn't get none of your inbuilt features to work with the Puma or the Laser/Light Module.

Seems like Extended Eventhandlers is not working for you or are you running other mods besides CBA_A3 and bwmod?

You should try turning off other mods if you are using any. If not you should check your CBA installation.

@ Scarecrow: The H&K 121 is certainly planned but on hold for the moment, just like the procurement of the real thing. There'll be a MG3 variant out soon to bridge that gap along with some other goodies that didn't make the deadline for the initial release.
