If it produces the correct file format, you can take it into O2 and then into TOH (Don't think you can skip the O2 step)

Hi Sven

Thanks for that I have gmax installed so thought I would try that as well. I exported a simple box to P3D format to see if I could get it into a format that 02 could use but can't work out how to use the binPBO program if in fact that is what I need to use

Huh?

All you need to do in Gmax, is click File --> Export. Then choose one of the supported O2 file formats( .3ds, .obj, Universal BI TXT, etc, etc ). The .3ds type will be your best bet. Then in O2, again, click File --> Import, navigate to your file, and there you go...

BinPBO is for finalization of the model. This will binarize your .P3D and config.cpp files, and create a nice .PBO that TKOH can read. Here start with these video Tutorials by Gnat666x. They are the VERY basics of O2. Be sure to start with number 1, and then follow along. BOOKMARK IT! ;)

Nosecone,

You could also try this plugin: ArmaTools for 3ds Max.

I know that it says that it is for 3ds Max, but what most people don't know is that Gmax and 3ds Max are nearly identical. Gmax is the 'lite', free version of 3ds Max. So the scripts should work.

In the install instructions you just have to substitute the <max_directory> for your Gmax install directory.
