Fligtstick recommendations....

...I got the f16 usb..but I think the civie variant would of been better as you can rest your feet on the pads with those...

I think that is the best feature of my RCS pedals the more I think about it. They are at the perfect angle to use as a foot rest while surfing the web! :D I've been using them as a footrest for years!

Interesting... Not sure what to think about that!! Be interesting to hear peoples thoughts on it.

Guess your not looking at it when your using it. Probably feels similar .

Some people love it. Some hate it. Probably better suited to the F-16 and other electric jets, not so much helicopters.

I'm using the Thrustmaster Warthog for DCS A-10C. Hopefully it works without too much hassle.

Sooo for someone who hasn't owned a joystick since the Cold War...is the X52 a pretty decent stick for the Under $100 buyer?

Been trying to research this but some die-hard FlightSimX'ers are saying the older x45 is better for whatever reason. Also the Thrustmaster T-Flight seems to rate pretty well and is pretty inexpensive.

I have to admit: I love my Logitech Extreme 3d Pro. If you do not like to spend the extra money for rudder pedals it offers a pretty decent package. Even the throttle… er, collective is quite good compared to a stand-alone thottle.

I had my hands on the Logitech Flight System, and in terms of quality it is not as good as this good 'ol Extreme 3d Pro.

Oh, I really hated the Extreme 3d pro. Spring tension is way to high IMO, so if you're not trimming you have to exert too much pressure to keep the stick in position. And if you don't have pedals the twist axis is too small. I switched to X52 and never want to touch my 3D pro again (luckily I don't have to because it's sold :P )

Hehe, so everyone has a different grip on sticks. I loathed other sticks for not having enough force to keep it centered. :) That's what I really like about the smaller Logitech joysticks. And they feel massive and robust.
