DKKbisvGspQ

Arma 3 teaser trailer released!

Bohemia Interactive, the award-winning independent game development studio,
is pleased to announce the release of the Arma 3 teaser trailer video, captured exclusively for E3 Expo 2011 in Los Angeles.

Along with the closed presentation of Arma 3,
the latest installment of Bohemia Interactive’s critically acclaimed mil-sim series,
the developers are going to publicly showcase the playable versions of the recently announced helicopter simulation game Take On Helicopters
as well as the long awaited sci-fi action game Carrier Command: Gaea Mission.

Check the video either at our booth (South Hall, Booth #2803) or on the Arma 3 official Youtube channel
and meet the dedicated developers of the presented titles in the biggest E3 presentation of Bohemia Interactive to date.

The latest installment in the successful tactical mil-sim series, Arma, combines the strength of its predecessors with radical engine improvements.
Arma 3 will provide players with a unique experience of sandbox-oriented combat gameplay set in the most detailed and vast environment of the series.
Players will fight through a story-oriented campaign by taking control of a multitude of aircraft, vehicles and ships; shooting anything from pistols to sophisticated weaponry.

Some of the key features of Arma 3 include:

  • Single-Player Campaign - Evolve from lone prey into a military commander in the open-ended & story-driven campaign.
  • Vehicles & Weapons – Control a multitude of aircraft, vehicles and ships with accurate simulation; shoot anything from pistols to sophisticated weapon platforms.
  • Customizable Soldier Load - Choose your uniform, assemble your weapon kit, change your load-out, get loaded up.
  • Physical Simulation & Improved Animations – Take advantage of PhysX™ supported vehicle simulation, in-game interactions and the revamped animation system.
  • Rich & Authentic Environment – Explore an unsurpassed military combat experience set on an authentic Mediterranean island modelled from real geographic data.
  • Multiplayer Gameplay – Experience both cooperative & competitive scenarios with the full support of dedicated servers for both Windows and Linux.
  • Completely Extensible & Moddable - Design & create countless customizable scenarios using the intuitive & easy-to-use mission editor.

I think the moniker, "teaser trailer" fits this video perfectly.

@Dwarden - lock up the game creators, dont let them leave until its completed.
I want this game now, those screenshots looks great, especially the ragdoll effect.. :yay: :yay:
My scripts:

Any new mission editor or scripter in Arma2 should have read Mr Murrays Editing Guide Deluxe at least once, it still applies for A2 even though it was made for Armed Assault.

There's a reason it's called a teaser trailer. You'd have a reason to be ticked off if it was called "Arma 3: Real, actual gameplay trailer"

But obviously it's very hard for people these days to make use of BRAIN v1.0.

I'd preferred when BIS used to have videos that only had game play..... not CGI....:P
Intel Core i7 980X EXTREME, 24 Gig RAM, 240 Gig Revo x 2 SSD, 2 X EVGA (SC) 680GTX's, Win 7 64 Pro,
Single 27 inch Monitor, Oculus Rift V 1.0, Track IR 5, HOTAS Warthog, SIMPEDS Pedals..Arma3 Ready... not....:(

It's the fact that they went from all in game everything in their trailers to live action now. It's like if your girlfriend wore miniskirts every day for a year then put on a pair of skorts instead one day. Sure it still looks great from most angles, but you still feel a little cheated.

So far I think A3 is looking great and I can't wait to see some proper in game footage. It is really too early to judge it as I am sure BIS has many more future/current hardware to put in and get working.

Weapon modifications in action (aka during mission): didn't like it, but the game looks superb and all can be forgiveable ;)

you don't know yet if you need to carry the scopes and suppresors etc with you or not. If those are gear items, and if customizing takes a lot more time (and it is animated), i actually have nothing against it

Same here . Also remember that they are using picatinny rails to mount their optics and extras , it can be done fairly easy in the field .

Changing from EOTech to Elcan Specter takes me about 15s... Really easy and fast to do...
But some animation would be nice... Also some kind of graphic menu for all of this - I don't like cluttered action menu :/
