Wow, ArmA 3 looks so much better than the real world.

I like to call Arma a sandbox game that works pretty much like LEGO - you buy it not just because you want to have a nice car from the main picture on its box, do you?

There is in fact a Facebook page for Limnos. I wonder if any of them could identify the locations, perhaps even take some photos?

@.Taffy: You linked this very forum page :P

In google maps: http://maps.google.c...&z=11&t=h&hl=en

Must say, it looks like an excellent choice. Hope the mountains in the west are close to Takistan (feature wise). But I'd like some rivers. Deep and wide enough for AI driven boats to navigate.

It looks like the island, if truly 1:1 scale, will be roughly 35x30km of land mass. I'm fucking STOKED for the island and I would pay 60$ for it alone, let alone all of the engine upgrades and new content that come with.

Can a BIS Dev confirm the scale of the island, please? :)

Awesome find!
Hopefully there's some nice spots to dive around there :)

@b00ce: Guessing of course, but I don't expect anything less than Takistans 12x12 (or 13x13? unsure). So 13x13 to 16x16 with sea expanding to 20x20 - 25x25 doesn't seem unlikely. The towns on the original doesn't seem feasible to put in a game, but I would like to have a few Paraiso sized reasonably modern towns.

Well judging by http://forums.bistud...651&postcount=3, it looks pretty close to 1:1, but that could just be that one place.

Looking at the thickness of the roads, it doesn't seem like 1:1.

Yes, it's little smaller. But not much.
There are more reasons, especially the travel distances.

That's great news, will it be the biggest arma island yet?

So do I. It being scaled down to even 20x17km would be amazing.
