ArmA 2 site hacked

Recommended Posts

Whenever I load the page I seem to be getting an extremely blurry picture of a pinkish/red trianglural looking object, a green circle, and a another blue shape with some sort of gray and black background. It's extremely blurry and I think it would just be crude shapes even if it weren't..is this what I'm supposed to be seeing?

Thanks for the links.

This is definitely another one of their detective/guessing games. The article contains references to "simulation terrain generated from real world data", aswell as mentioning the unknown location at which those photos were taken. Then there's the reference in the "hacker page" to the Arma2 campaign Harvest Red (Spukayevs files) and "The stash is still buried there."

All in all, it seems we could be looking at new content very soon, possibly a new Chernarus map.

Next Episode/DLC based around Iran?

The PBHB is known for politically motivated attacks and it is speculated the attack is in relation with a new project by Bohemia Interactive that has not been announced yet.

And the hacker was supposedly Iran... Nice one BIS, getting excited again! :)

More likely a fictional location based on real-world terrain data from Iran. ;)

Perhaps Karzerghistan, or whatever it's called.

OK guys, who is able to find the location of the photos in Arma 2?

I´m curious because of this part from the AAN Site

Why would the hackers point to such a place remains unknown. We are not able to locate the spot nor send an investigator to find out the truth.

On the first pic we see a crossroad with a tree on the right. the second picture is taken right in front of that tree.

We need to find that Crossroad in Arma 2, then we will hopefully know the RL coordinates of that spot, and be able to send somebody to look for this hole

I reckon there's some BIS employees sitting there right now waiting to hand out free copies of Arma 3.

If only a member of this forum lived near České Středohoří...

Maybe its some kind of a puzzle, i mean maybe you can take the pictures and form a puzzle with it to get a more clear total picture?

nut sure if thats a fact, but something is fishy, even if it is a real hack you would not post that url and track it towards the hacker no? i mean why keep the stuff online if its not related to anything exept of those hackers .....

Edit: the puzzle thing is mostlikely nothing after taking a closer look :/

kind regards

Co-ordinates P8,H8 on Chernarus anyone?

My guess is a campaign where you play in an/some eastern faction

---[edit]---

My bad, the co-ordinates on Chernarus work with numbers only no letters, but I still think I'm onto something :D

I don't think it would help...České Středohoří is a 1265 km² region, not some 20x20m area:).

Good luck finding leads to this false flag op! :D I thought I knew Chernarus inside-out: I've counted & cataloged the myriad of trees N of Elektrozavodsk while on my bike, in search of enemy MHQ, and I couldn't tell you where those shots were taken. :bounce3:

This one could be the one from Pusta to Cherno-Mogilevka crossroads, due West. ;)

Well this is what I came up with, if you examine photo #2 and #3 you can see some kind of tall structure on the hill in the background, looks like a TV tower or castle. I think it looks a lot like the TV tower on Chernarus. This is how it looks in game:

And the location on the map:

tyaei6fzvr30ge8ybqna_thumb.jpg

But Mr.Wolf is right, looking for this woudl take months in an area the size of České Středohoří.

EDIT: The numbers 3518585 from p3R51An 8lacK Hat5 8oy5 take you to Tokyo in google maps

List of clues from the AAN article:

  • Iranian hackers
  • Czech game and simulations software developer
  • Written by Jackson Irvine
  • Persian Black Hats Boys (PBHB)
  • p3R51An 8lacK Hat5 8oy5 = (3518585)
  • a new project by Bohemia Interactive that has not been announced yet
  • further attacks will take place every 42 hour
  • Jan Nohatý, an electronic security specialist
  • Our affiliated websites, forums and fan pages however should be aware as they could be connected with our business activity and therefore face certain level of risk.
  • creates simulation terrain according to real terrain data
  • the speculation is that the hacker's claims and photos point to a real location

From the deface:

  • HACKED by p8H8 (instead of PBHB)
  • In red: p3R51An 8lacK Hat5 8oy5
  • In red: 42 (hours)
  • In red: Spukayev's files
  • back in 2009
  • The stash is still buried there.
  • The pics
  • Maybe something in the page or pic source

I does resemble Gorka, you then take a right turn at the crossroads:

On the western side of the hill. Keep digging.

Hmm, the house is in 104, 028. There is a crossroad (106, 029) just before it, west - outside of Krasnostav. The road leads to Ostry hill. :yay:
