  1. UNSUNG Echo Liberation

    Hello all! Here is my official release of the KillahPotatoe Liberation game mode with the UNSUNG Echo Release that is now available on steam. The unsung team have had a rest from our 2.6 release for A2 and we are looking to move into the next installment of the Arma series. We have done extensive testing and work on the 2.6 release to the point where we are happy we have a solid base to work from as we progress. However, We need your help. We are currently seeking Config writers, Modellers, Texture artists. Especially those whom have experience in porting A2 content to A3 taking advantage of PhysX and other engine enhancements. UNSUNG TEAM RECRUITING In order to continue producing this great mod at a high level of quality and quantity for the Arma community we are currently looking for the following people to boost our team productivity: 2 x model porters - porting models from arma 2 to arma 3 (e.g. motorbike, bicycle, helicopter, tank) - you need to have basic knowledge of Arma Tools (object builder) - we can teach you the rest, you just need to be willing to follow our guidance. - These posts allow people the ability to grow and develop their knowledge in model development. 2 x building artists - high level of ability to make new scale models from scratch in whatever program you use - uv mapping and texturing models - we can import to p3d / rig / animate / and config - The buildings are for a new urban map based in Hue 1968 that our world-builder artists are developing. - Your creative input to that map would become legendary! We are keen to attract some new modellers to help - port and convert Takistan buildings and other A2 assets (not much experience needed as we can teach you) - retexture A3 assets if and where possible (and legal) (texture artists familiar with photoshop or gimp) - build new models (experienced modelers - we can help rig and config for arma) We feel that the release of this map will be a legendary event in the Arma series. Why not join the gang creating it? If you don't have much experience, we still have work, so long as you are prepared to make a commitment to completing one model task. Time-wasters need not apply! the work can be hard, so you mainly need enthusiasm and endurance. so yeah, it's a big project, we need people who can make street-signs, shop signs, railings, bridges, rubble piles, right up to citadel bastions, bridges and cathedrals. so if anyone out there can lend a hand, it's gonna be an awesome battle in the end - a legendary map for the arma series. we already have the satmap done, with the rivers and canals already in. Razorback, Londo and maybe Icebreaker are gonna be working on the basic layouts and ground textures we just need a lot of buildings and parts. I have imported a lot of stuff from takistan already, but if we could get some guys wh ocan just do the importing process on more of the takistan houses, i can help them with a process to follow, and guidance. it's a good way to learn your way around arma building models. then we need texture people to retexture the buildings to vietnamese colonial colours and signs, add shutters and details etc

    The 14th Valley 2 versions; Day and Night (links below) Coop: recommended 2-4 players (will allow 9) Requirements: ArmA 3 Unsung Vietnam War mod, CBA_A3, Apex DLC NVA units along with large caliber AA guns have occupied and built out The Three Canyons area of Da Krong. You are tasked with assaulting and neutralizing the AA batteries. Mission features: (1) Progressive resapwn points (thanks to Sergeant Dennenboom of Elite Warriors) (2) Virtual Vehicle Spawners availlable at LZ Savage and Camp Sarge. (3) Soundtrack mucic to enhance the immersion factor. (4) Numerous sound effects add to the atmosphere. (5)Full arsenal availlable to kit out with; both at LZ Savage and Camp Sarge, as well as numerous ammo crates in and around enemy emplacements. (6) On call artillery fire support. (Accessed via the "0" (ZERO) key at the top of your keyboard. Scroll wheel options availlable after that. (7) Option to insert/remove earplugs. (8) Random enemy patrol script ensures replayability. (9) And thanks to Sergeant Dennenboom, an "official" end to the mission. Mission Notes: In order to guarantee that you respawn with your arsenal kit/loadout, remember to "SAVE" it while in the arsenal screen. It is VERY important to ensure before beginning that your sliders for "Effects" and "Music" are set to at least 50 percent. (Mission sounds/music based on those levels.) It is recommended to set the "Radio" slider to zero to reduce/eliminate annoying AI chatter. Read the briefing and check the map out to get a feel for what you need to do and how you want to go about it. It is suggested also to disable all AI in the slots not taken up by a human player. While it is possible to play with 2 players, it is highly recommended you have at least 4. Known Bugs: "no entry cfg weapons. REQUIRES THE UNSUNG VIETNAM WAR MOD: http://www.armanam.eu/ The year is 1968, and due to a critical mission planning error, courtesy of your CO, your squad's Helicopter has been shot down deep above the hostile jungles of the Prei Khmaoch Luong province, Vietnam. Download: Steam Workshop Mission Notes Custom Sound and Music! Change AI Skill in Mission Parameters if they feel too wallhacky through the jungle. Respawn (and basic revive) is available, after mission start you can respawn at the Helicopter crash site. After you leave the crash site you may also respawn at your squad, at your own discretion. Ammunition is limited, and you will respawn with the same gear you had when you died. Loot dead enemies, and discover supplies by wandering close to their locations. Across the first river, two checkpoints will be available for capturing. One Northern, and one Southern checkpoint. Both may be captured, but their position will only be revealed if you are nearby. This mission was designed for 3 player Co-op. If there is a demand for it in the Steam Workshop comments, I will increase the player slots :) (I'm not super active on this forum) This mission is estimated to take up to 1 hour to complete, good luck, and stay alert. After the helicopter crash you have about 1 hour until the sun sets and it gets too dark to see anything. You are invulnerable while in the starting area, before you start the mission you should NOT force respawn or you will not be able to respawn, unless you restart the mission. Third Person View is restricted in this mission for your immersive pleasure.     We currently are the number 1 dedicated server for unsung. we have a small community and would love for you to grow with us. There is plenty of room for promotion and its a very laid back group of people. we ask that you are atleast 16 years of age and speak English. its set in the year 1966 we are LRRP long-range reconnaissance patrol, Airborne quilfied, Green Berets which eventually boiled down to Rangers. There is no standardized training just war.The LRRP was trained to think like the enemy, survive a extended period of time behind enemy lines with no way to contact command they would go in with an objective and a time and place to be evaced from. But villagers in the area have reported strange occurances along the river. What awaits The Tigers?   11. https://imgur.com/a/MFskJ This is a small, 100% INFANTRY oriented map, intended for use with unsung but sure, it works equally well for other jungle scenarios if you are into that sort of thing. Solely intended for medium to short range infantry missions and campaigns, this map has extremely dense vegetation and is designed for very short ingame view settings. 2m cell size makes the ground itself VERY detailed and with the enemy literally less than a nade's throw away, nobody needs view range. This is so that we can have nice things. Such as craters and ditches, trenches and such. Features: 8x8km 1 million trees. Actual terrain modified to work with arma units. River for dangerous crossings and patrol boats. Very high terrain detail. 2m cell size. Highly dense rainforest Designed exclusively for patrol/infantry huey insertion situations. There are no roads. just footpaths. The river is the main road in these parts. Scheduled release date; January 2nd. 1 US FOB with 3 helipads and and 1 OP with 1 helipad. 1 bombed out plantation settled by French Missionairies in the 19th century. 100% custom ground textures. The map is a fictional valley-river offshoot of the Mekong river, in the region around Cambodia/Laos highlands. Requires Apex/Tanoa. No initial mod requirements. (future versions may require Unsung) Progress summary: Terrain sculpting: 100% Object placement: 70% Detail placement 25% Satellite textures: 95% Ground textures: 90% Roads/paths: 20% Surface masks: 60% DISCLAIMER This download is pre-release content and only suitable for mission makers at this moment. A release thread will be posted when the first playable version is completed. Do not download this unless you wish to create missions and maybe affect the final product. If you create sites in x-cam or similar on this map and post them in this thread, I will include the best and most suitable ones! (no mods!) IF YOU EXPECT A FULLY FUNCTIONAL AND COMPLETED MAP, PLEASE WAIT FOR VERSION 1.0 Testers are not needed but feel free to look around, have fun and do post feature requests in this thread!   13. Hello, I am sorry if this question already has been asked before.. So I am having this problem, I made my own mission using the following mods UNSUNG VIETNAM MOD DELTA 3.0 and UNS TRAPS. The mission that I made was a zeus gamemode on the map SEA , Lam Dong, Vietnam I did everything right all the things worked except zeus, you can enter zeus but you can only spawn the DEFAULT ADDONS and the UNITS ALREADY PLACED IN THE SCENARIO (http://prntscr.com/eutwm4). Here are my settings in the editor http://prntscr.com/eutwpt (game master module), http://prntscr.com/eutwrw (available units from the mods and already placed units). If I host this game on multiplayer only the host (if he is the zeus) can place all the units from the mod, but if my friend is the zeus he only can choose those units (see first link) and it is the same otherwise if he host the game.   15. Both Dropbear and myself (with permission from roy86) would like to announce a port of Patrol Ops 3.1 for Unsung Vietnam. AI enemy units have been changed out to VC and tests so far have been going well. Time has been restricted for work on this conversion, however so far running it on our 2 servers over the last week or so, have proven successful. We feel that the work so far is ready for release to the public so that mission makers\editors can download and edit the mission to suit their server. Over the course of the coming weeks, any bugs that arise with the missions (that are not already reported in roy86's official patrol ops 3.1) please let me know and I will see what I can do to find a fix. In bf1942 you have land, air & sea battles, allowing you to use small boars, submarines, aircraft carriers & battle ships for sea, also small and large transport planes and several tanks, jeeps etc. there are also several good mods out there which plays in different settings like WW1, WW2, Iraq war etc. Battlegroup42 mod: SuperDC Mod: Eve of destruction (vietnam war) mod: forgotten hope secret weapons gameplay: There is also battlefield vietnam which is similar to 1942 and has the same features (no large ships but can be added, engine supports it): Poe Mod for vietnam: Vanilla bfvietnam: those games are much more enjoyable than the frostbite battlefield titles. there exist also WW1 mod for 1942 which gives you much more than BF1. Those classic titles have COOP/SP/Bots support, Modsupport, much more content, no force to use origin/steam, no force to be online to play them and they still have an active community. Masterservers were taken down with gamespy shutdown but community changed the masterserver and released theyr fix.

Wer wir sind und wie wir Funktionieren: Wir sind eine recht heterogene Truppe bestehend aus Veteranen (die seit ArmA 1 dabei sind) und Frischlingen die erst mit ArmA 3 zu uns gefunden haben. Demnach sind wir auf der Suche nach entspannten Mitgliedern aus allen Erfahrungsschichten. Unser Schwerpunkt liegt ganz klar auf dem Spielspaß der gesamten Gruppe was bedeutet das ihr zwar unsere Vision einer authentisch ausgerüsteten organisierten Truppe teilen solltet, aber dennoch nicht damit rechnen müsst das wir euch durch etliche unnötige Lehrgänge quetschen wollen, die in ArmA 3 keinerlei Rolle spielen. Wenn ihr etwas von unseren Veteranen lernen wollt, können wir gerne Trainings auf Anfrage organisieren, bei uns wird jedoch nicht jeder unter generalverdacht gestellt ein Idiot zu sein und muss bei uns eine Grundausbildung durchlaufen wie das bei vielen BW Fanatikern der Fall ist. Bei uns ist außerdem Jeder willkommen, solange er verständliches Deutsch spricht und sich entsprechend benehmen kann. Wir sehen uns ganz klar als Freizeitverein und Schikanen sowie qualvolle angesetzte Trainings die zur Demütigung gedacht sind wird es bei uns nicht geben. Wir sind durchdacht strukturiert und legen Wert darauf dass sich unsere Mitglieder selbstständig organisieren und über unsere Steamsite auf dem Laufenden halten. Wer mehr wünscht kann bei uns Problemlos mehr organisieren, unser Server läuft 24/7 ganz klar vorab haben wir allerdings meistens ein Event pro Wochenende (aufgrund von Familie/Arbeit/andere Hobbys). Das bedeutet allerdings nicht dass bei uns unter der Woche Garnichts los ist. Finanziert wird das Ganze von 2 Personen, organisiert von 4 Freiwilligen und da es bei uns locker zwanglos und unentgeltlich zugeht besitzen wir ein absolut entspanntes Klima auf das wir sehr, sehr viel Wert legen. Dies gilt natürlich in der Regel auch für das Rollenspiel untereinander, da wir eine Einheit bilden, ein Team. Was wir Spielen und wie: In den meisten Fällen spielen wir Infanterieszenarien (oftmals inkl. Unterstützung) in unserer „Theme“ (PMC = Private Military Company = Privatarmee), also eine fiktive elitäre Privatarmee die sich niemals zu schade ist die Hände schmutzig zu machen. Innerhalb dieses Scenarios spielen verkörpern wir die Söldner und Frontschweine die sich für gutes Geld beschießen lassen, unser Roleplay ist allerdings vergleichsweise locker und Einsteigerfreundlich (wir halten alles andere für Ungesund) und soll nur der Immersion dienen. Natürlich gibt es bei uns auch Ausnahmen und andere „Themes“, zurzeit ist bei uns das Vietnamkriegsscenario (Vietcong gegen USA) sehr beliebt, wir verkörpern also nicht nur eine Privatarmee. Unsere Missionen reichen von Special Forces Einsätzen bis hin zu regulären Infanterieszenarien. Natürlich gibt es Ausnahmen doch diese bilden nicht die Regel. Abgesehen davon sind unsere Missionen alle äußerst authentisch, spielerisch sind sie zwar Machbar, jedoch absolut Vergebungslos. In 95% der von uns gespielten Szenarios besteht kein Respawn und wenn ihr nach einer Granate die euch in unserem erweiterten realistischen Modus noch aus 12 Metern ein Schrapnell zerrissen hat und kein Medic in Reichweite ist werdet ihr ohnmächtig und verblutet. Das war es dann für den Rest des Abends. Bei uns gilt also volle Spannung aber auch volle Konzentration. Wer also die Auffassungsgabe eines Goldfisches hat oder Grundsätzlich unter anderen geistigen Defiziten leidet ist bei uns Falsch. Ich kann euch vorab schon sagen: Das wird euch keinen Spaß machen, dafür ist unser Modus zu authentisch/realistisch. Und genau deshalb ist das richtige Sozialverhalten absolut essentiell. Was wir euch bieten: Angenehme offene Atmosphäre und familiäre Stimmung (Bei uns braucht man keine Angst haben die Admins anzusprechen) „Immersive Gameplay“ (innerhalb des Spiels Roleplay der jeweiligen Rolle) Erlesene und realistische Mod-Sammlung (TFAR, RHS, ACE3) und extrem einfache Installation Spannende authentische Missionen dank erfahrener Missionbauer (seit ArmA 1 aktiv) für jeden Erfahrungsgrad Unseren eigenen TS3 + Gameserver (von euch wird keinerlei Beitrag verlangt) Rationale entspannte Organisation (kollidiert das Reallife mit einem Spieltermin ist das okay, nur bitte abmelden wenn möglich) Da wir noch im Aufbau sind, sind leitende Funktionen verfügbar! Zurzeit suchen wir noch einen zusätzlichen Missionbauer und Personen mit Führungserfahrungen Regelmäßige Events an den Wochenenden zu „normalen“ Zeiten (16-21 Uhr) an denen wir eigens für uns erstellte Szenarien bei maximal Performance (hohe Framerates) Spielen.   19. Who we are... We are the 101st Airborne, 506th IR, 2nd Battalion, Delta Company! An authentic realism unit that plays to learn, teach, win and have fun. We used to be the 101st Airborne, Dog Company from Invasion 1944. We moved on to ArmA 3 in October 2014, but just recently got bored of all modern stuff and we want to get back to the good old days. What we do... We are based in UNSUNG for ArmA 2, but that doesn't limit us from playing other mods within both ArmA 2 and 3. We host both closed operations for members only, and public missions every month that is based on a real life armed conflict in any era where people can sign up and take part. How to sign up and what happens after signing up... After signing up, your application will be reviewed by an Applications Officer. Once accepted, you will receive your Recruit tag and may start your Training. Basic Combat Training, which will be focused on integrating you into the unit - Teamwork and how to work the game and mods. After BCT, you will be a full member of the unit and you will receive your screaming eagle patch. Advanced Individual Training, which will help you improve as a soldier. We might all think that we're the best, even myself, but the AIT will improve us all. Remember that all wars and battles are different. We have just released two screenshots of our current ArmA work through the OFPNAM website. A public release is in the near future but a release date has yet to be determined. Rest assured that our first release is not far off! The Unsung Vietnam war MOD has from our group's Operation Flashpoint days, always strived to build a MOD based on realism during the Vietnam War. It is our mission to recreate the battlefield in order to simulate the experience of being in an actual southeast asian jungle. Does anybody know if it is possible to in any way to open up the official ArmA single player and campagin missions in the editor and take components of them for my own custom missions to play in singlplayer.. Or if anybody knows of a similar reference, just to save time every time building a fully dug in city! I remember doing this with Op Flash so I presume it's also possible in ArmA thanks
