  1. TPW MODS TPW MODS is a modular and highly configurable suite of addons designed to enhance the realism and immersion of the Arma3 single player experience. You can use the TPW MODS of your choice to enhance existing missions and campaigns, or to simply turn any empty map into a living breathing combat zone with endless replayability. All mods interoperate well, are light on resources and a lot of work has gone into optimising them so they should not cause undue slowdowns or framerate issues. TPW MODS is under constant development, and continues to be refined and expanded largely due to user feedback and suggestions. 2. 23rd Realism Regiment Tactical, Organised Game-play in Operation Flashpoint/ArmA: Cold War Assault Who are we? We're the 23rd Realism Regiment. A relatively recently created group, the 23rd Realism Regiment attempts to build and maintain the tactical, organised style of game-play that Operation Flashpoint/ArmA: Cold War Assault in known for. With over 50 member, about 20 of which play with us regularly, we're able to hold relatively large scale co-op missions and, if we keep growing, eventually hope to host large scale, tactical PvP missions. We have a whole range of members, from traditional Operation Flashpoint veterans such as Alex to newer players such as myself. The same goes for ages and nationalities - our players are from countries across the world including but not limited to America, England, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Spain and Singapore just to name a few. As long as you're mature and can understand basic English, you're welcome within our ranks. We usually have weekly Sunday sessions at approximately 12:00 EST, with smaller, lighter sessions sprinkled in at other times in the week. Our WW4 EXTENDED server is up 24/7, as is the TS server we use to communicate and organize ourselves. Slightly interested? Give us a shot, and check out our steam page! All screenshots are taken In-Game and are of the 23rd Realism Regiment Minimum Joining Requirements - MUST have a Steam account that is in regular use. - MUST be running ArmA:Cold War Assault V1.99 (Steam version is already updated to this). - MUST be mature and possess the attitude described in this post. - MUST have a working microphone and Teamspeak 3 installed. - MUST understand basic English - it doesn't have to be perfect, but you gotta understand what's going on. Recommended - OFPMoniter is a great asset - it allows you to browse and join any public servers after the GameSpy closure and can launch the appropriate mods for any servers you join (assuming they're installed already). - CrossTalk for Teamspeak 3 - Only really necessary as a leader for distinguishing whispers from squad chat, but pretty cool/useful none the less. - The Mod - we'd appreciate it if you could get the mod installed before you join, but it's understandable that people would be hesitant to download something before they're part of the group. Need help installing it? Feel free to ask us! Steam Group: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/23rdrr Want to join? Add Dan_The_Man or BennySouthSt on Steam, expressing your interest. We'll run you through the basics and invite you to the group. Server IP: 51.254.37.84 TS3 Server: 51.254.37.4 TeamSpeak 3 is our primary method of communication on our games. I'd recommend installing the CrossTalk Teamspeak plugin - It allows you to set radio effects in Teamspeak. Although it's not necessary, I find it very useful when receiving whispers; if they have radio static, it's easy to tell you're being whispered to and aren't listening to chatter in your channel. Plus, it sounds freaking cool! YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJgSRjRHTZUJoNDA7tI2Thw Not sure if the group is right for you? Take a look at our YouTube channel, organised by Saroonva! It currently features some snippets of some of our operations (and, i'll admit, a lot of me talking over the radio by accident!) Mod: http://www.mediafire.com/download/efh9k10nvh1v13d/23rd_WW4.7z We're currently running WW4 EXTENDED with a few extra maps thrown in - All credit goes to Kenoxite and Sanctury for WW4 and it's expansion, WW4 Extended! A 23rd tailored version of WW4 EXT is currently under development by yours truly, but won't be around for a while - even then, it's mainly back-end stuff i'm doing. For the average play, you won't notice the difference; enjoy the joy that is WW4 Extended! Admin Steam Profiles: BennySouthSt - Group 1IC - General Administration and Mods Dan_The_Man - Group 2IC - Recruitment and Operation Organisation Saroonva - Group 3IC - Youtube and Media Eazy - Server Maintenance Kotakulu - Missions and Scripting Got any questions about the above categories? Feel free to contact any of the above people! If it's not on the list, get in touch with me - using steam is preferable, but i'll respond to you on the forums too! Organisation and Gameplay The way we operate depends on a few things: The number of players in the session, whoever's acting as IC (Dan, Saroonva and I have very different command styles!) and the mission at hand. For example, if Dan was leading one of our weekly operations and we had a large player count, you could expect an open net between team leaders and command. I, on the other hand, would (probably) operate with a closed net, with fire-team leaders only communicating with the other fire-team leader and squad lead, who then communicates with command - trust me, it makes sense in game! Similarly, our more casual "Assassinate the President" mission would be significantly more relaxed than an organised "Zeus" mission (and yes, that is ArmA 3 Zeus in OFP - Check out this link for Kotakulu's amazing mission!). Generally speaking, your first few sessions will have you operating as a team member - you won't have to worry about the command structure or setting up whispers for a while. It's important you balance a decent level of initiative and discipline; whilst running off towards the T-72 might work, it's not the reason we play the way we do and will be frowned upon (and probably shot by some guy sat in a bush). Similarly, nobody is gonna object to you running 50m to that low wall to get a great flanking position on the hostile squad - it's better than clinging to you Team Leader and all getting wiped out by that lucky AI grenade, right? The ranks structure exists as a way to demonstrate leadership and experience - Simply having a load of hours in the game will not guarantee a rank, nor will topping the score board every game - you need to show an understanding of the best tactics and strategies for the mission as a whole as well as demonstrate your leadership abilities. Don't worry about a load of bollock-y "Sir, yes Sir" stuff - having a rank system simply makes it easier when determining who's taking what roles and what positions. You'll be granted "Cadet" once you join the group and will be promoted to "Private" once you complete your first large operation (or a series of smaller, weekly sessions if no op is running at the time).

  8. 4th Marine Raider Battalion Realism Unit The 4th Marine Raider Battalion Realism Unit, aka 4th MRB, is a realism unit in the Arma 3 community. We simulate a fictional unit within the Marine Special Operations Command (MARSOC) of the United States Marine Corps (USMC) and United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). The 4th MRB is structured and organized identical to a real life MARSOC battalion, with attached supporting USSOCOM units. The 4th MRB was founded by long-serving members of a different Arma 3 realism unit which emulates another real life United States Marine Corps Unit. The 4th MRB attempts to maintain the discipline, professionalism, and esprit de corps of real US Marine special operators. The fun and excitement members of this unit enjoy is the result of the difficult and challenging operations we are asked to perform and in developing skills and unique tactics commonly practiced by special operators within the special operations community. These typically include (though are not limited to) direct action missions, special reconnaissance, foreign internal defense, counter-insurgency, unconventional warfare, maritime interdiction, counter-narco terrorism, hostage rescue, preparation of the environment, security force assistance, gas & oil platform operations, and special clandestine operations. Based out of Marine Camp Currin, Bozacaada, Turkey - the unit currently consists 4th Marine Raider Battalion, 4th Marine Raider Support Battalion, and associated SOCOM supporting elements from 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) and 27th Special Operations Group, 27th Special Operations Wing. 9. 2 PARA is a new, British Realism unit based in ArmA 3. Our aim is to provide a realistic, and fun experience to all of our members through our high quality missions every Wednesday at 8pm and Saturday at 10am GMT. We use a variety of mods, such as ACE, ACRE, and a collection of British Unit and vehicle mods to allow us to emulate the parachute regiment. Why join us? Training's are typically held on a Wednesday at 8pm, although our hope is to minimise this through training videos on our YouTube channel. We will then use Wednesdays to test your knowledge through fun exercises. Missions start early on a Saturday at 10am and last for a maximum of 2 hours, allowing those of us who have part-time jobs, or events in the afternoon/evening, to still participate. Requirements We have some basic requirements we ask from people joining, but the most important is for people to be mature when we are playing: Aged 17+ Working Microphone Own Arma 3 (No DLC required) Speak English fluently Can attend trainings/missions at times above Not in another group already Willing to learn Extra Info We use highly modified and simplified British tactics to fit the game. Our main aim is to have fun. We aim to achieve this by using teamwork in an efficient and professional manner. The ranks we have are 'functional’. They only exist to fit their own function. For example, as we are only up to one section currently, there is only a need for a Cpl to lead them. We are based on the Parachute Regiment, therefore our main role in conventional warfare will be para-drops and air assaults. Whereas, in counter insurgency campaigns, we will be replicating what most modern forces do in conflicts like Afghanistan and Iraq. You do not need a specific interest in the Parachute Regiment or the British Army to join, although you will get most out of the unit if you do. If this post has managed to persuade you to sign up or at least ask a few more questions of what we can do for you, then either sign up on the website - www.2-para.uk - or, add me on Steam - razer313 Thanks for reading, hope to see you soon!

  12. Did a search and could not find an answer to this, so.... When I am aiming down a rifle sight I have clear-line-of-sight in scope cross-hairs. Then none of my hits land, only to discover they are hitting the wall in front of me, which only is only revealed in 3rd person with cross hairs. Ruins immersion and realism that line of sight is not really line of sight, and no way of knowing how much one is exposed in firefight. Is their a mod that fixes this bug/anomaly(corrects the offset), as it not something that would happen in real-life physics ? Thanks

All our recruits who join our unit, are welcomed to our Phase 1 and Phase 2 training taught by our Drill Instructors, and this training spans from FTX drills, to train our recruits to be ready for our operations as well as exercises in home rotations. In term of dates, our trainings and operations occur on a weekly basis, operation time occur from 2000EST to 2200EST on a Sunday and other training times vary. In terms of operations, once recruits have finished Phase 1 and Phase 2 trainings, they can attend our deployment operations which are set on different maps, and have a solid backstory for roleplay, and when deployments are not occurring, we have our FTXs or Field Training Exercises. We currently have Zeus mission operators that ensure the highest quality and realism of our missions in our deployments. Why join us? The 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit strives for the most realistic and fun experience a player can have, we have very experienced members that have extensive knowledge on both ArmA realism units and the real life military and a friendly and diverse community. 20. 28th Infantry Division Realism Unit (US division) Arma 3 WW2 Realism based on Iron Front mod The 28th Infantry Division Realism Unit is a new organization based on the Iron Front mod in World War 2 of the Western front, with many fixes and custom additions, working to achieve a realistic warfare experience within Arma 3 Iron Front Modification. With a growing population and many positions yet to be filled in the unit, we are proud to finally announce that we are opening our doors to the public. In our constant effort to create a realistic World War II environment in Arma 3, our unit has adopted several mods that break new boundaries in creating this environment for our members. The mods are very accessible and easy to install even to novice players and full assistance can be provided to those who have any trouble at all. The mods that we use on our servers allow us to provide an incredible depth of realism that few other units can provide. Currently our unit is composed of players with very diverse backgrounds. Some of our members are veterans of the realism community that have been in multiple historical units, in both Arma 2 and Arma 3, which aim to endure the environments of which the brave soldiers of the last great war experienced. Others in our unit are rather new to the scene, but they are greeted with open arms and training that teaches them to fight amongst the very best! Players of all experience levels are welcome to join! With all of this said, the 28th has only just opened to the public after weeks of mod testing/fixing and base construction, and we aim to grow with time and dedication. Perhaps you have been in realism units before, or perhaps you are looking for a change from the normal run of the mill invade and annex servers. Wherever you might be coming from, we would be happy to have any and all come in for an interview or to simply learn more about the unit. For those interested in joining, please come and talk to a recruiter in our teamspeak at: 28id.dtdns.net Roll on! Edit: CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

  25. ARMA 3 - Arrowhead Community Server [sRV] EU-ARROWHEAD.NET #1 - Conquest Large - CTI - [Hardcore] [sRV-IP] 164.132.200.134:2302 [TS3] eu-arrowhead.net [TS3-IP] 164.132.200.134:9987 [WWW] eu-arrowhead.net [Work in Progress] About Us: Arrowhead is an international gaming community focussed on Arma 3. We provide an immersive player vs. player experience, emphasizing simulation and tactical realism where a strong will, teamwork and communication is key. Victory is not achieved, it is seized. What is Conquest Large? Conquest Large is our own variation based on BECTI which is created by Benny. With this game mode we provide players with a military experience without limiting the great features ARMA 3 has to offer. Every weapon, attachment, armoured vehicle, chopper and jet is available on our server. The main goal of both teams is to extend control over possibly the greatest number of territory points which are spread over the entire map. The more territory you have, the more supply income you generate for your team. Thus providing the ability to allow for more upgrades. The territory you control will function as a respawn point for you and your team. Additionally you can use the redeploy function near the HQ to deploy yourself to one of these territory points. These points are definitely a valuable asset in the field. To capture a territory point, move to the marked location on the map. A territory point consists of a main capture point and several camps surrounding it. The process of capturing can be speeded up. The more players are present, the shorter it will take to capture it. Capturing can be interrupted, when the enemy players team come within the territory’s border. In that case, the advantage in numbers within the territory reach works as a decisive factor. The end-game goal is to find- and destroy all of the enemy structures. This goal can be accomplished in many ways. For example your team can choose to cripple the enemy’s supply rate income by capturing and holding more territory, which will in turn provide your team with a technical advantage in the early- to middle game. Of course there are many other tactical approaches a team can take.
