  1. 2nd Infantry Division Realism Unit (US division) Arma 3 WW2 Milsim based on Iron Front mod with Faces of War The 2nd Infantry Division Realism Unit is a new milsim unit based on the Iron Front WW2 mod on the western front, with many fixes and custom additions working to achieve a realistic combat experience. With a rapidly growing population and many positions yet to be filled, we are proud to finally announce that we are opening our doors to public recruitment. In our constant effort to create a realistic World War II environment in Arma 3, our unit has adopted several mods that break new boundaries in creating this environment for our members. The mods are very accessible and easy to install even to novice players and full assistance can be provided to those who have any trouble at all. The mods that we use on our servers allow us to provide an incredible depth of realism that few other units can provide. Currently our unit is composed of players with very diverse backgrounds. Some of our members are veterans of the realism/milsim community that have been in multiple historical units, in both Arma 2 and Arma 3, which aim to endure the environments of which the brave soldiers of the last great war experienced. Others in our unit are rather new to the scene, but they are greeted with open arms and training that teaches them to fight amongst the very best! Players of all experience levels are welcome to join! With all of this said, the 2nd has only just opened to the public after weeks of mod testing/fixing and base construction, and we aim to grow with time and dedication. Perhaps you have been in realism units before, or perhaps you are looking for a change from the normal run of the mill invade and annex servers. We’re an ArmA 3 Realism unit with which means we perform and run our operations as close to the actually military as possible, all while having fun of course!   3. Beowulf Strategic Operations is an EU based tactical realism community that plays every Wednesday and Sunday at 20:00 UTC. We average between 20 and 30 players per-session and play every Wednesday and Sunday at 20:00 UTC. We're primarily EU based, with members from England, Finland, Denmark, the US and more. What is "Tactical Realism", and why do we enjoy it? Tactical Realism is the term best used to describe how we at Beowulf play - We aren't a conventional Milsim group who follow strict rank and procedure, nor are we a totally laid-back disorganized group of mates playing Arma together; we exist in a sweet spot, a middle-ground that we call "Tactical Realism". We don't have any present ranks or roles, and don't restrict ourselves to representing a singular force in a singular conflict - the average session may consist of two, three or even four missions in a variety of terrains or as a variety of forces. You may go from a USMC M60 Machine-gunner, deep in the jungles of Tanoa to a F/A-18F WSO supporting a Special Forces raid in Southern Sahrani - The only roles we limit are mission-critical roles, such as Piloting, where messing up could mean the end of the mission for everyone; new members can jump in as pretty much anything else available in that mission. We also provide some completely optional training in a variety of skills - If you're new to Arma 3, feel free to pop along to one of our basic induction sessions, or if you're into the real hardcore s**t, turn up to one of our advanced JTAC courses. Just remember that none of these courses are necessary, and are completely optional if you want to attend them - the same goes with our sessions too! We have no unnecessary attendance policy, and average between 20 and 30 players every session. We're a friendly bunch, especially towards new players, so if you've ever got any questions you can ask anyone in game, on steam or through our Slack chat. What mods do you use?   7. The Sunrise Division ''旭兵団'' History The 23rd Division (第23師団 Dai-nijūsan Shidan?) was an infantry division in the Imperial Japanese Army. Its call-sign was the Sunrise Division (旭兵団 Kyokuhei-dan?). The 23rd Division was formed in Kumamoto on 4 April 1938, in the same day as 15th, 17th, 21st and 22nd divisions, as part of the military buildup following the outbreak of the Second Sino-Japanese War. The first divisional commander was Michitarō Komatsubara. The Group The goal of this group/realism unit is to show diversity in ARMA 3 Realism scene in the way of that we will show the Pacific/Asian Theatre of war as a Japanese IJA Army Unit. We try to give an diverse and unique experience from Jungle Patrols,Defense missions and full scale PVE/PVP events for in the future. We are a side unit of the 27.Fusilier regiment since this is our main unit so if you are also interested in the Eastern/Western front as a wehrmacht grenadier then hit us up!. Announcing the formation of a new Arma 3 combat unit within Elite Warriors Gaming clan - Project Delta - A Milsim Ops Unit loosely based around the work of the 5th Special Forces Group Long-Range Reconnaissance unit, a precursor to MACV-SOG. Timed to coinicide with the release of Unsung Delta, we are aiming to run ops each week on Sundays, playing with Unsung, TFAR and ACE medic system. Missions will be designed to make use of a modular force - some air and armour supporting the majority on long range recon and destruction ops. Project Delta is seeking able-bodied men of all ages to rise to the challenge, and learn the ways of the jungle from the veterans in this unit who have been developing Unsung mod and running weekly ops for more than 4 years - in the dark, the rain, the heat and against massively superior enemy numbers. Supported by the long-established ~EW~ Training Team, Project Delta will teach you combat skills, teamwork, weapon and vehicle proficiency and above-all how to survive in the hostile terrain of South-East Asia circa 1965-70. REQUIREMENTS It doesn't matter your level of skill, as we can train you, but we expect you to be a reasonable team player. More military veterans are especially welcome.   9. 2 PARA is a new, British Realism unit based in ArmA 3. Our aim is to provide a realistic, and fun experience to all of our members through our high quality missions every Wednesday at 8pm and Saturday at 10am GMT. We use a variety of mods, such as ACE, ACRE, and a collection of British Unit and vehicle mods to allow us to emulate the parachute regiment. Why join us? Training's are typically held on a Wednesday at 8pm, although our hope is to minimise this through training videos on our YouTube channel. We will then use Wednesdays to test your knowledge through fun exercises. Missions start early on a Saturday at 10am and last for a maximum of 2 hours, allowing those of us who have part-time jobs, or events in the afternoon/evening, to still participate. We are based on the Parachute Regiment, therefore our main role in conventional warfare will be para-drops and air assaults.   11. Did a search and could not find an answer to this, so.... When I am aiming down a rifle sight I have clear-line-of-sight in scope cross-hairs. Then none of my hits land, only to discover they are hitting the wall in front of me, which only is only revealed in 3rd person with cross hairs. Ruins immersion and realism that line of sight is not really line of sight, and no way of knowing how much one is exposed in firefight. Is their a mod that fixes this bug/anomaly(corrects the offset), as it not something that would happen in real-life physics ? Thanks

  14. The 9th Royal Queensland Regiment (9RQR) is a small military/realism simulator in Australia. We are looking to have a fun time while being realistic. Our Unit is currently deployed in Chernarus aiding the Russian Government regain control from the Chernarus Defence Force.   15. The 2.Panzer-Division is a Wehrmacht 'Milsim' unit for Bohemia Interactive's latest title, ArmA III. Our campaign and event operations spanning the period of the Second World War, currently focusing around an alternate Czech and German clash in 1938. Our operations involve both PvP (Player versus Player) and cooperative, with the latter forming the majority of events through the campaign. A collection of modifications are used in order to for us to set ourselves within the Second World War which can be found under our 'Mod List' tab, this is provided with a manual that includes an overview and installation instructions. The 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit is a United States Marine Corps Milsim/Realism unit for ArmA 3, which is based on 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit. The 13th Marine Expeditionary Realism Unit strives for a realistic/milsim environment. The 13th Marine Expeditionary Realism Unit has a Phase 1 and Phase 2 training, our training is based directly on the real life USMC training, only to be vastly scaled down and our training instructors have filtered it to be necessary to ArmA. We are currently looking for members to expand the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, and strive to fill up our first Company. What do we do? All our recruits who join our unit, are welcomed to our Phase 1 and Phase 2 training taught by our Drill Instructors, and this training spans from FTX drills, to train our recruits to be ready for our operations as well as exercises in home rotations. In term of dates, our trainings and operations occur on a weekly basis, operation time occur from 2000EST to 2200EST on a Sunday and other training times vary. In terms of operations, once recruits have finished Phase 1 and Phase 2 trainings, they can attend our deployment operations which are set on different maps, and have a solid backstory for roleplay, and when deployments are not occurring, we have our FTXs or Field Training Exercises. We currently have Zeus mission operators that ensure the highest quality and realism of our missions in our deployments. Why join us? With a growing population and many positions yet to be filled in the unit, we are proud to finally announce that we are opening our doors to the public. In our constant effort to create a realistic World War II environment in Arma 3, our unit has adopted several mods that break new boundaries in creating this environment for our members. The mods are very accessible and easy to install even to novice players and full assistance can be provided to those who have any trouble at all. The mods that we use on our servers allow us to provide an incredible depth of realism that few other units can provide. Currently our unit is composed of players with very diverse backgrounds. Some of our members are veterans of the realism community that have been in multiple historical units, in both Arma 2 and Arma 3, which aim to endure the environments of which the brave soldiers of the last great war experienced. Others in our unit are rather new to the scene, but they are greeted with open arms and training that teaches them to fight amongst the very best! First off, with Requirements: 13+ Years of Age Generally Good at ArmA Fast Learner Now some Details people may want to know: We are working on a mod from scratch for our milsim only Mods are 17GB (All worth it) We are new and dont have many people We include the 58th Special Operations Wing, the 11th MEU, and (inactive) the 45th Naval Squadron. When we get more people we will have more and more events. We know other milsims who may want to PvP We are a little bit more casual, as in we dont require everyone to know MOS codes, and we have easier forms for Article 15/Counseling/Etc. forms. What is Conquest Large? Conquest Large is our own variation based on BECTI which is created by Benny. With this game mode we provide players with a military experience without limiting the great features ARMA 3 has to offer. Every weapon, attachment, armoured vehicle, chopper and jet is available on our server. The main goal of both teams is to extend control over possibly the greatest number of territory points which are spread over the entire map. The more territory you have, the more supply income you generate for your team. Thus providing the ability to allow for more upgrades. The territory you control will function as a respawn point for you and your team. Additionally you can use the redeploy function near the HQ to deploy yourself to one of these territory points. These points are definitely a valuable asset in the field. To capture a territory point, move to the marked location on the map. A territory point consists of a main capture point and several camps surrounding it. The process of capturing can be speeded up. The more players are present, the shorter it will take to capture it. Capturing can be interrupted, when the enemy players team come within the territory’s border. In that case, the advantage in numbers within the territory reach works as a decisive factor. The end-game goal is to find- and destroy all of the enemy structures. This goal can be accomplished in many ways. For example your team can choose to cripple the enemy’s supply rate income by capturing and holding more territory, which will in turn provide your team with a technical advantage in the early- to middle game. Of course there are many other tactical approaches a team can take.
