    I do not know what is happening but now the scroll no longer appears the option to use the panel and I can only do these things by key bind the most bizarre is that with mods I can not change the range of my radar and still yes the option of the panel does not appear, can anyone help me?

  3. Hello folks, Have you tried the latest 'Rule of War' DLC? If not, you should try it. It's awesome! Detailed and fun new features, well-narrated mindful campaign which shows you how cruel the reality of war is. Through playing the campaign, you may capture the sense of consequence which comes from what you ordinary do in the game. Also, Bohemia should definitely receive reputation for tackling such a difficult issues. In an interview of ICRC, they tried to contact to many game companies but only Bohemia responds to their offer of collaboration to weaving jus in bello into commercial game product. Therefore, put aside the donation for the committee, I am confident that ICRC reached their initial purpose,let game players be familiar to rules of war without 'academic lectures'. So, the three parties, players, BI and ICRC must be satisfied with accomplishment of the DLC at the same time. This is marvelous. ....Then, so what? In the end of the day, the number of casualties in Syria or Yemen or other places of severe conflict has been reduced thanks to the DLC? It must be no because game player is not a type of person who kills innocent people in real world nor faithful advocator of anti-personnel land mines. Again, DLC itself is awesome. But ICRC would make mistake if they think somewhat to change the reality have been done.

I just bought the dlc, the problem is that when I enter the game as I normally would, I go to the map editor and try to pilot a helicopter tells me that I have to acquire the dlc and active it in steam, Valid with this account? Or do I have to log in with the Steam account? PS: I use google translate. I only speak Spanish.

  6. Hi, I recently brought the DLC bundle for Arma 3, and the Jets DLC is installed however when I go into the VR area, it still says that the vehicle is locked. I followed the trouble shooter however this did not fix the problem. Any help? Thanks.
  7. Details: This small addon adds the ability to open and close compatible doors and ramps on Arma 3 Vanilla vehicles. More vehicles will be added over time. Currently a few of the vehicles have visual issues which I will raise tickets with BI for. Any feedback welcome.   8. Leaflets are a scripted feature meant for use in playable content most of all (Laws of War DLC). There is some Sandbox compatibility, but since they are not fully engine-driven, they are also limited in some areas. For this reason they are not by default added to the Utility Drone (but can be added as special 'weapon' via pylon settings or scripting). Notes: Find a start of documentation on the Community Wiki. We've extended the feature to allow for full-screen inspection of the info stands (Faction Showcase IDAP e.g.). We'd prefer specific issue reports on the Feedback Tracker.
  9. Mines (specifically detection) are another existing feature that we've had a chance to make a few improvements to with Laws of War DLC (as a platform update for all). Most of these changes have already been on Dev-Branch for a while and we've read your feedback so far. We'll divulge more of our goals and details over the next weeks in the form of OPREPs for example. Note that we've wanted to preserve backward-compatibility as much as possible, limiting some more drastic changes. A clear example is the 15 meter detection range. Sure, we could decrease it, but it would potentially unbalance any existing scenario with mines. Note: expanded Community Wiki documentation is in progress. Specific issues go to the Feedback Tracker as per usual. What changes does this cover? Most characters are now less adept at automatic visual identification of mines. You will need to manually T-reveal them in more cases (also depending on difficulty options). Note that in order to disarm mines, you need to have revealed them. Many other factors influence visual identification: night-time, being in a vehicle, hidden in vegetation, etc. The Mine Detector has the same 15 meter range as it always had, but is slightly less 'magical' now. An Info Panel is used to show the approximate location around you ([ or ] by default). It pings off nearby detected mines, but does not yet reveal their type (potentially offset cloud symbol). Audio cues reveal the direction and distance of the nearest unrevealed mine (also without the panel open). Vehicles can have their own Mine Detector with custom range and Info Panel (see the Demining Drone). Most explosives should receive their own placement / deactivation SFX (WIP). Many explosion SFX were tweaked. The Radio Protocol message that is triggered when a mine is discovered has 'spam control', so it's not repeated too often in a large field. disableAI "MINEDETECTION" can disable an AI's mine detection abilities.
  10. From the outset the Laws of War DLC was going to focus on assets and playable content. However, there was room to enhance a few existing features relevant to the theme. A bunch of modest improvements to cluster munitions have been scattered over the past few updates (free for all players of course). Let's discuss them in this thread, and as always, please post concrete issues to Feedback Tracker. Note: expanded Community Wiki documentation is forthcoming. Added: Cluster Bombs (3 factions - see Pylon settings of aircraft) Previously only artillery cluster munitions were supported. Added: Unexploded Ordnance (3 factions x 4 triggers) Trigger types: Common: basically functions as a regular 'mine' Delayed: detonates a while after 'triggering' Tough: takes a lot of manipulation before detonating Sensitive: BOOM (even animals will set these off) These can be placed in Eden Editor, but are also randomly left behind after deploying various types of cluster munitions. The CAS module now features Bomb Strikes. Added: APERS Mine Dispenser* This means engine support for a mine that basically detonates like a sub-munition. Deployed mines can now have a randomized rotation. Various new SFX / VFX were added, as well as camera shake. The engine now supports control over sub-munition speed and ammo type randomization. * Restrictions apply for those who don’t own Arma 3 Laws of War DLC.

If you discover concrete issues, the most effective reporting method for us is Feedback Tracker. How do I access the assets? Main Menu: Shift + P In the DLC Content Browser, select Laws of War and explore its contents. Some assets have a TRY button that will open the asset in ... Main Menu: TUTORIALS > VIRTUAL ARSENAL (For vehicles, switch to the Garage mode at the top of the screen) Each asset category shows the appropriate DLC / mod icons behind each asset for easy identification. Use Sort by mod to make it even easier to find them. Note: in this mode you should be able to preview the assets without DLC ownership. Main Menu: EDITOR In the Asset Browser on the right, all assets are marked by the DLC / mod icon. Use Filter by mods option and select Arma 3 Laws of War. And you'll of course encounter the assets during gameplay! What assets are available?

I've been practicing my flight skills with the Jets DLC recently and realized that there's not much practical use for the Jets assets outside of milsim and the occasional scenario (that i can think of), so i thought it might be kind of fun to go head on with another pilot, however I don't have any active friends who own the Jets DLC. So here's my proposal, I host a server and hold some sort of tournament. I haven't ironed out how it would work yet which is partially why I made this post, as well as to see if anyone would be interested. Some things that need to be worked out are whether it would be 1v1 matches or Team Matches, how many rounds would be held per each competitor, how the jets would be chosen, etc. So i've set up a little poll to determine how the tournament would be structured and it can be found here. If you have anything to add, or want to help set it up please comment, if you want to compete simply join this steam group. If the poll ends up selecting teams the teams will be assembled at random, though they can have certain members upon special request if you want to go into it with your friends or something. There won't be any reward for winning as i'm broke af, however I do plan on recording the whole thing and uploading it onto my tiny YT channel so that could be considered a small amount of publicity for the winner. I'll update this post with dates, and poll results however a majority of the planning will take place in the steam group. Edit : There may be a reward depending on how many victors there are (there can be multiple victors if teams are chosen) and if there're enough games to go around.

I didnt find ANY game without required DLC i do not own, so is there possible to add filter of required DLC's, like you can mark what DLC could be required?

  18. As of recent I haven't really spoken up about this but there is a major problem with the current missile system for helicopters and their survivability. The main issue's relate to the MH-9 HummingBird and main blufor choppers. The main balance issue that came with the Jets DLC was the power of just the infantry AA launchers. They currently will only need 1 shot from the launcher to destroy a HummingBird. This is a major issue because you will have absolutely no warning and you might just explode. This could kill up to 7 people instantly. This makes a pilot like me who uses the thing every often and has learned how to land after being crippled before the update. The point here is that if it is a 1 shot there should at least be a warning or no warning but then at least will take more than 1 shot. You might say its unrealistic but then when you think about it, it is. This is not real life. This is a game where you try balance fun over realism and this is where I'd say the fun aspect needs to be increased for the chopper pilot who has spent hours and hours flying and is then just taken out by an absolute noob who has around 5 hours in the game who knows how to press T and click.

  20. i purchased jets dlc a week ago, and whenever i play KOTH it keeps showing ads on my screen, the DLC is installed on steam, and its enabled, its a pain in the ass, and whenever i try to ride one of the dlc helicopters it says that i must buy the JETS DLC, but i already bought it, whats the probelm? any help?
  21. I'm writing this short blog because of what I saw last night while going through Military/Science/Technology News. However before I get to that let me talk about something else really quickly. From the little knowledge we have about Arma III's lore and what I know (Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) on Russia we know that Russia is not directly in CSAT Organization. CSAT is mainly made up of the Middle Eastern Countries and China with Iran leading the Middle Eastern countries. Whether or not that could really happen is beyond anyone's guess really, we could sit here and speculate and moan and argue that Iran could never form a collation of Middle Eastern Countries and reestablish peace in the middle east with Saudi Arabia and Israel plus the United States there, or blah blah blah Iran is a state sponsor of terror, etc etc etc. No one knows what the future holds and we will just have to see what happens in the middle east. However our main focus is Russia or the Russian Federation if you prefer, Russia to my knowledge funds and supports CSAT but is not directly in CSAT, which sounds like Russians Foreign policy, they usually stay within their own borders and never join any fights unless asked like in Syira's case or they need too. Russia has some pretty impressive technology for the Third or Fourth Highest Defense Budget in the world, it makes me jealous I will admit. So when I saw this stuff last night I almost died of excitement, because of how awesome and cool this is. Russian Combat Suit Reveal This Russian Combat Suit was unveiled at the National University of Science and Technology (MISIS) in Moscow. Now I KNOW that Combat suits are not surprising or something new. We know that the United States and Russia have been designing and planning to build and produce them for our soldiers. Which even if you know we have its still F***KING Awesome to see an actual prototype from the Russians and it just looks so cool. Its one of those "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY" Moments. So Now that we put that out of the way I defiantly think it would be cool to see Combat Suits with HUDS and Maximum Ballistic Armor for the Russians and Americans, like these in Arma III or Arma 4 (You don't want to admit it Bohemia but we all know you're eventually going to move on to Arma 4 so you can use you're new engine, unless you pull a Half Life 3 on us.) Now hold on before you say this would be way too powerful! (Well first off that's kinda the point of these suits so our soldiers don't get killed.) I do think we should defiantly see these in limited use in Arma III not give every soldier a Combat suit and a pat on the back and say go at them boy. They should be restricted to Special Forces on the Russians and United States Side. I do however think these should not be a vehicle because these are uniforms and body armor not vehicles. This is the Year 2035 and even though some in the community dread futuristic stuff like the Blackfoot Attack Helicopter, the Ghost Hawk Helicopter, (Yes I know that the Blackfoot is a cancelled project and I know the Ghost Hawk is a prototype) The drones, The MX Series, (Yes I know the MX Rifle is not a real rifle it is a combination of the SCAR and ACR) and the Fancy Gear that CSAT Has. Me Personally I love using the Blackfoot and the MX is my favorite Assault Rifle in the game. Most of these are all real Vehicles, Guns, Helicopters, Jets, and Armor that will be used in future warfare. The Battlefield is constantly evolving and so is the technology and since Arma III is set in 2035 I do think Bohemia should use the 2035 setting and give us futuristic gear and weapons. I also like the fact that Bohemia lets us use vehicles or prototypes that never got to see the day of light in combat like the XM8 and the Blackfoot Attack Helicopter. These were really cool projects and it was a shame they never replaced our old helicopters and assault rifles, but I'm glad I got to use them in Arma, cause where else am I going to use them? Arma III Simulates how war will be like in 2035, and to quote a Russian General from the article on Russian Combat Suits. So I would like to see Combat Suits for the American Special forces and maybe see some Spetnaz Russian Soldiers Bohemia? This Prototype is in 2017 so surely there will be some working models in 2035 for limited use in the American Special forces and Russian Special Forces. It would be nice to see in the Orange DLC, but me personally I believe you should dedicate this Armor and Gear to an entire DLC Based on Infantry Weapons and Armor. We could use a lot more Assault Rifles, LMGs, Pistols, and Rifles. Plus some shotguns would never hurt Bohemia? The KSG-12 Remember? KSG-12 I know a lot of you don't like Future stuff, however this is in 2035 so Bohemia should make the most out of it. Just be glad this isn't Black Ops II, III or Infinite Warfare type Future. I defiantly believe Bohemia does a better job at simulating Future Warfare than those games. And with that said this is what I would like to see as a DLC Bohemia.
  22. Hi, This a minor rant about the new rangefinding system. I'll be bold, I do not like it and it should not exist. I love being a sniper in wasteland, it is very fun, you just aim at your target read the distance. I off and on play arma for about a month then comeback. But this time I found out they changed it to where you push a button... That I imediately cringed. The automatic rangefinder was easy and more convenient. The game is based in the future, why not have automatic rangefinders. Why change something that was working thoughout A2 and A3? By default the button was binded to \ which is the salute button. This makes no sense. Why add another key command to the LARGE list of binded keys even to where they start overlapping? I hate the new rangefinding system. BIS, please revert the old rangefinding system back. It was just better in everyway. If not, atleast make it a option so the player can choose.
  23. I have purchased the Jets DLC through the steam store but cannot use the items in game. The DLC is listed in the list under the Arma 3 Tab in my library but I cannot pick up items in game and still get the advertisements on my screen.
  24. I know that BI is planning on releasing the TAC-OPS DLC sometime in Q3 2017 however I wanted see what the community thinks ought to be included in it. For myself, I am hoping to see the addition of some character assets and a campaign to round off the current storyline. Here is just a quick breakdown of some of the things I'm thinking: 1. Uniforms variants for all factions, to include: -hooded rain jacket top/combat gear bottom (Malden specific) -fleece sweater top/combat gear bottom (Altis specific) -hoodless dive gear top/combat gear bottom (Tanoa specific) 2. Weapon variants -SPAR 16L (long barrel) with VFG -SPAR 16C (compact) with AFG -SPAR 17S (short barrel) 3. AI improvements -taking and clearing through doorways for OBUA -dismounting Helicopters in different combat modes(stealth,safe,aware,combat) results in different group formation actions 4. Rappelling from Helicopters Again that is just a quick list of things I'm hoping for in the TAC-OPS DLC. I'd love to hear what you guys are thinking. Thoughts?
