  3. Ergon County

    Ergon County Ergon County is a fictional terrain based off of the rocky mountains in Canada and the USA. Dense forests with tall trees covered in snow litter the landscape of Ergon County with its vastness. It has recently seen increased military presence with new bases being built and an airfield where trespassing is punished by death. However it still remains a place of civillian life, even with the increased presence of military personell. You can find several villages / towns scattered around the landscape whom with their presence, represent a peacefull and quiet region. What is Ergon County? Ergon county is a map that aims to bring more of the winter aspects into ArmA 3 and to provide a new fun and greatly detailed map for people to play on and enjoy. Note: Ergon County is still in heavy development and such, bugs are to be expected and if you do encounter them, please send information about them to me as it will help me get it out of pre-alpha sooner. If you have any feedback or suggestions to the map then feel free to leave a comment on the workshop page or contact me directly through steam. Terrain Features: Size: 4.10 x 4.10 km (16.81 square kilometers). Winter: Ergon County is a land filled with snow and dense winter forests which brings you a not as often seen aspect of ArmA 3 Variety: Scattered villages / towns whom are greatly detailed as well as several military installations scattered around the region with a personal military airfield. Dense forests: Instead of the usual style of forests which are a bit open, the forests in Ergon County are truly dense and give you the feeling of deep and vast forests. Open areas and accessable buildings: Ergon County offers a lot of open areas and locations which are perfectly suited for player-made areas such as camps or bases. Almost all of the buildings are enterable as well and the aim is to replace non-enterable buildings with enterble buildings. Planned features Atleast one more airfield (civillian most likely) as well as more military installations. Additional settlements such as villages and town but also possibly camps / smaller wilderness settlements. Added detail to the whole of the map, including the areas which are not "inhabiteted".   4. I recently decided to start making bases for my singleplayer survival modes. I finished one, and saved it, but the button to publish it was grey'd out. I don't know if it's because I used mods to make it, or what, but I don't even know if it's a thing that's been implemented yet. If anyone's curious, I'll add a link to download and poast screenshots. Armaholic is down and I don't want to upload a scenario to the Workshop so the forums sounded like the best place to me.   6. I'm currently using the CUP weapons pack and the RHS weapons. Each have a shotgun, the CUP has the AA12 and the RHS has some pump shotgun. I'm trying to make a neat training area that has a clay skeet shooting area but only bullets can break them. I checked to see if it was only addon ammo but that's not the case. The slugs break them but not the pellets. Any ideas why this is happening?
  7. Hey, so I'm a novice when it comes to modding and coding. Iv already tried re-texturing some Arma3 content so I got the basic hang of that. However I'm trying to make a dress blue with a model from CUP. When checking the "hiddenselections", "hiddenselectionstextures" and "uniformmodel" they are all empty where as for example the beret from ArmaA 3 is "model = "\A3\Characters_F_EPB\BLUFOR\headgear_beret02a";"' Iv tried filling these out and the mod itself works. However the texture I made is not showing, only the original and I am assuming that is cause CUP models dont work the same was as the vanilla? This is the specific code for it that I have writen Can anyone explain to me why its not working?

This pack includes Soldiers and Marines wearing BDUs in Desert camo or M81 Woodland camo and Interceptor Body Armors in M81 camo, 2004-2006 era Marines wearing Marpats, IBAs, Nomex Flightsuits, and there are also 2007 Era US Army units that wear Full UCP camo. They use RHS weapons and vehicles Features: - ACU Uniform (M81, DCU, and UCP camo) - MICH helmet (4 variants, UCP, M81, and DCU camo) - PASGT helmet (8 variants, M81 and DCU camo) - LWH Helmet (16 variants, Desert and Woodland Marpat) - Interceptor Body Armour (4 variants M81, DCU, and UCP camo, also plain coyote brown) - BDU Uniforms (M81 and DCU, Army And Marine versions) - Units have randomised helmets - Nomex Flightsuit (model by Cinco) Planned stuff: - Wound textures - Fix nametapes and other shader issues - Fix the incorrect Boots model Known Issue(s): - an error appears when the nomex suit is selected: "Cannot load material file \coverall\data\coverall.rvmat."   10. I feel like this should have been asked and answered somewhere already but I haven't found it yet. I'm working on the Takistan CUP map and have just discovered that the minarets are indestructible. This is most unfortunate since I've just spent a while working on a script to detonante an IED inside one which I was really hoping would bring the building down. I was looking into ways of destroying and deleting objects that are already part of the terrain but haven't yet been able to get it to work with CUP buildings. Is there a way?

These will be monthly tournaments called "Masters CUP" and the only requirement to participate is to enrol a team of minimum 6 players before the deadline. Joining these events is FREE!   12. A remake of the Operation Flashpoint single mission "AMBUSH", using CUP USMC units. This one should resonate with some of us old school OFP players. I remember playing this demo mission from a demo disc attached to a PCGAMER mag back in the day, and I lost my mind at how amazing it was. The mission was a tough rock to crack. Very hard to get the AI to cooperate and for the mission to flow as it used too back in OFP. But finally, I've got it working to a playable standard. It's still hard though, you need to pull your weight in the squad and accept the fact the AI can be unpredictable. You'll probably need to revert to a save once or twice. Using the cover of night, silenced weapons, and night vision players will have to get the drop on the bandits, if they allow themselves to get bogged down the superior numbers will overwhelm them. Ambushes and roadside bombs are common tactics of Syndikat.   16. SmallMilitaryEncounter Generator A dynamic mission for ARMA3 that generates small military encounters. The intent of the mission is to have something similiar to an Domination / Invade & Annex type COOP missions, but in a smaler and more infantry focused scope. And have a mission that is easily customize able, at least in my opinion. Most things you may want to change can be found in the files under config/. Also the mission is build from scratch and not a derivative of some other mission existing. The reward vehicles can be found outside the base in the hangars. Also vehicles can be reapired in a service station in the main base. For the small island nation of Sahrani, this has proven particularly troublesome. In 1993, the Communist government crumbled without Soviet economic and military support. It wasn’t until 2003, when the Sahrani government appealed to the Russian Federation for assistance, that the US began negotiations to provide aid to the island nation. Incensed, the pro-Russian majority in the Northern region of Sahrani attempted to overtake the South, where the seat of government resided. Despite a majority of the Sahrani Defense Force’s assets being stationed in the North, the attempted rebellion was quashed in short order by the US Army’s Rapid Reaction Force. Shortly thereafter, a UN Accord forced the US and Russia both to forgo further intervention in Sahrani’s affairs. In 2008, Russia violates the accords by sending first military equipment and advisors, and then Military Maritime Fleet infantry garrisons to the North. In an effort to dissuade further Russian involvement in Sahrani’s affairs, the UN passes a Resolution forbidding any further involvement with the Sahrani government or risk facing economic sanctions. Not long after these developments, a military junta seizes power from the legitimate government, and the capitol in the South is overrun and demolished by pro-Russian military hardliners. The newly christened Sahrani Liberation Army claims to be in control of Sahrani.   21. Hello Bohemia Community; I recently ran into a really confusing and frustrating issue with Arma 3 servers, and I'm hoping for some potential insight. What's happening is that, when I connect to certain servers, the game loads into a place devoid of objects, terrain details, and even my own 1st/3rd person character model; the only things that I can see are the grass and the terrain color/texture itself (I've attached some image links). I'm absolutely certain that these images are not in debug areas too. I've connected to a good variety of servers with the same sort of outcome. Here is a small list of servers I experienced this issue: Trailerpark Wasteland on Tanoa (A3 Wasteland Version 1.3B) BIB Wasteland (A3 Wasteland Version 1.3C) BFC Exile Esseker US #2 EXP Exile Chernarus EXP Exile Napf However, to make it more confusing, these results are rather inconsistent. For instance, I can load into an A3Armory (runs A3 Wasteland Version 1.3C) hosted server, and everything would load in fine: I see buildings, terrain details like rocks and underbrush, trees, etc., vehicles, weapons, and my character model. As potential fixes to this problem, I've tried: Reverifying my game cache of Arma 3 on Steam A clean reinstall of the game itself A clean reinstall of my game mods Isolating mods reported to have issues (a Steam forum page noted that the "CUP Terrain - Maps" mod specifically had this rendering issue - the forum suggested the "Auto Detect" button in the Arma 3 video settings, but that didn't work). I'm unsure of what else I could possibly do, and so now I turn to a community that knows much more than me, at least. I hope to hear back from those of you who could possibly help.     About mission: Breakthrough is a COOP mission best played with 8-19 players. This is 3rd mission in my Takistan missions series and surely not the last one! It's April 2017 in Takistan. We made huge progress past year in destroying ISIS and we hope to crush them by the end of the year. Campaign is a success for us, both in politics and war terms. We are getting more and more feared in other countries, our plan seems to work well. The one and only problem in our campaign is (as always) the USA. They started their operation in Takistan after our numerous successes. They want to rule global politics once again but we won't let them. We need to strike fast and gain control of majority of Takistan before they do. We still have initial advantage, let's not lose it. Mission description: Finally this day came. We are at the Jilavur military base on the frontline. Thanks to our specnaz units we can now assault the town with full force. Enemy dug in at the Feruz Abad town. They prepared two defense lines. We need to break through them. You need to split to two teams. One should head to north of the town and the other one with tank to south. DO NOT assault the defense lines alone. When you are ready call 0-0-1 for the friendly forces to attack from our base. We prepared armored vehicles to support you. Be aware that this will trigger all enemy units from town to defense their positions so expect heavy resistance. In the north there's enemy checkpoint north of the town. We also have information about enemy rocket artillery units in Falar city. Don't enter the town until you dealt with them or they'll toast you. Remember that you can always kill enemy artillery crew and use it to support our attack on the defense lines. After you deal with the artillery you can attack enemy HQ from the north together with south team. Ambush enemy tanks heading to first defense line and then support our attack at the second line and town. You've been supplied with a lot of Anti-tank weapons if your tank gets destroyed but try not to lose it. Try to eliminate their AA guns so our chopper can support you in every fight, it's guided rockets are deadly for both infantry and vehicles. Features: Vehicles and air support - Show your skill Replayability - Randomization Two teams layout - Two different set of tasks Freedom - It's up to you how to deal with most of objectives I tested this mission extensively with my friends and I can't find any bugs. Start the mission only when all players are loaded in briefing screen. Don't use saves. Why so many mods?: There are just two big mods here (CUP,RHS) and small ACE,CBA, TFR so 5 mods in overall. Why there are so many mods in the list? There are minimods from ACE that ensures compatibility between RHS, CUP and ACE but they're very small. Not all mods may be mandatory. For example CUP CWA may not be needed same as RHS GREF and mission may work without them but for best experience I recommend to have them all anyway.
