RHS Escalation (AFRF and USAF)
war_lord replied to soul_assassin's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Patreon isn't Kickstarter. It was never intended to be a means to purchase a service. It's a donation system where the beneficiary can offer perks to encourage larger donations. If you don't feel a creator appreciates your contribution/is not using it for what they claim, just stop giving them your money. As for the accusation of rudeness... I'm not affiliated with RHS, but I can tell you that answering the same five questions countless times gets a little old. Even if each individual asker means no harm. And not all of them mean no harm. Unfortunately quite a few will use apparently innocent questions as a means to try to assert some kind of Patron-Artist relationship or contract where none exists.- 16549 replies

Hi all, I'm back from the full time Uni thing (for now). As a general rule any time a mod does anything fancy with weapons in Arma 3, it involves the mod makers spending hours on a hacky work around. So you should expect some weirdness. -

Thank you for the very kind offer but unfortunately the rifles are basically finished, sans some color correction on the Geissele rail. The pack is going to contain the factory guns in all lengths (even the 20" one that we can't seem to find any proof of), the IAR, the HK416C, the HK416N, a carbine with the Remington RAHG, a carbine with the Geissele rail and three custom guns, which are: A DEVGRU carbine based on one of the ones used in Neptune Spear, a fictional carbine for me as the person who commissioned the project and a CAG carbine. Although, I should say, the CAG carbine is built from a mix of parts from the other two so it's not going to be 100% accurate, as always hidden selections and source files are a thing as with all scratch built NIA stuff if someone wants to make something closer to IRL. EDIT: Although I should say if you happen to have access to the SCAR (which is being done next) or anything else we might cover in the near future, any reference images would be appreciated. -

That's probably going to have to be someone's submod. Usually NIA doesn't do aftermarket camo skin stuff. -

Just spoke to Toadie. The HK416's will be set up with MagazineWells out of the box, older stuff will be converted over once Bohemia declares the feature complete. -

Toadie made a statement on twitter, the short answer is yes, but there are some limitations with bohemia's implementation that means it's not replacing the script entirely. -

It's probably an error in the script that actually changes the weapon (because the mag script works by literally changing the gun you're using), I've passed your report on to Toadie, but there's no quick fix for the problem beyond avoiding that combination till a patch happens. -

I've already told you not to be digging around in indexes that aren't meant for public use, and certainly not to draw attention to files that are not publicly released. They're not requests, the person in question is talking about WIP files that can be accessed with enough snooping, that aren't meant for public distribution. on the last page or two they linked to the directory. I asked them to take it down, they still haven't. Would you mind doing it for them? -

You'd be better off asking ACE about that. -

Could you remove this link please? At least one thing there isn't for public distribution. -

The MAG58 break was causing the muzzleflash to appear directly in front of the camera. The bug you're describing is a minor visual bug that's not a priority at this time. -

Official statement from Toadie: Toadie also wanted me to pass on an apology for the lack of a formal update post, but I think that that's understandable given the circumstances. -

Will pass on to Toadie. Sorry if you've reported it before, but things do fall through the cracks. There's a lot going into each patch now with the growing library. I hope you understand. We don't let people rip individual guns out of their set sorry, would lead to way too many NIA derivatives floating around the internet. -

Just make sure it's going to the right folder when you install. I had something very similar going on with NIA's internal modpack for a while, it turned out the repo was dumping the updated files into a subfolder. Sometimes these unexplained errors turn out to be the simplest thing. -

I suggest reinstalling, no one else is reporting that bug so it's not likely to be on our end and more likely to be an oddity of Arma.
