  3. With the increasing colaboration with other units, we have transitioned to a more versatile era; The Cold War. The majority of our Joint Operations have been conducted in other eras than WW2, which has conflicted with our doctrine and equipment. We are already in the process of setting up major events with our allied units. Here is a less serious video that shows that even our unit gets into awkward situations.
  4. D-Day is upon us. We will begin our Normandy Campaign on June 15 to ensure the best experience for out members. A constant flow of new applicants... Has led to a great increase in attending personnel both on the official events as well as the unofficial events hosted by members during the week. Three BCT classes (#0011, #0012, and #0013) have been evaluated recently with good results. The new Privates are integrated well into 1st Platoon! Here is a TvT mission we played in April against the Red Devils and 2nd Battalion Essex Regiment.
  5. Our BCT Class #0010 just graduated, and the unit is now redeploying to defend the important junction town, Bastogne. 1st Squad is now full, which means we will be looking for more NCOs, and eventually Officers. To find out more about how to obtain these positions, come visit our teamspeak or add us on steam!
  6. This month we will be training for Operation Market Garden. We will be running a practice Operation on the Schwemlitz terrain. During June, we took part in the Battlegroup 21's D-Day TvT event. And as recent as this week, we took part in another BG21 event in the Hurtgen Forest.
  7. Our first operation (Overlord) was a success. It was a great learning experience in conducting airborne operations. We will now exercise and do a practice operation to be in top shape for Market Garden in September. This a zeus perspective video is from a recon-in-force patrol during an offensive in Neaville.
  8. Due to the lack of interest for Vietnam shown by the community, we have decided to move back to our roots. We have gone home to WW2 due to the popularity of the era, and the strong relations to other units in the era. Here is a video from our last TvT against the 23. Panzergrenadier Division, together with the Citadel Regiment.
  9. After the graduation of BCT Class #0006 and the end of Operation Piper we are entering a time of training to fix the flaws and train the new guys. With the next update of Unsung (expected release in May) we will have a new deployment. The plans have not been made and we do not know exactly where we are going yet, but a lot point towards Trung Si.
  10. Our numbers are growing at a positive rate. The upcoming BCT graduation will put 6 new troopers to the test to earn their Screaming Eagle patch. Last weekend we reached our highest number of attending members since our start in November. 15 men were training together in basic fieldcraft skills. "This is one of the best trainings I have done" - A trainee in BCT Class #0005 Last month we played an 80s era TvT scenario against a British unit. Here is a video from the event! Every month we do a special event in a different era. Next up in February is a Falklands War based scenario.
  11. 101st Airborne Division, 2/506 Cold War Based Introduction We're an established ArmA community that focuses on giving its members an authentic experience in historical environments, and at the same time giving our members a second home. We’re based off of the actual organisation of the company in the Cold War. During events we expect members to take things seriously so that everyone can get the most enjoyment out of the game. Even though we are based in the Cold War Era, we do other eras such as Vietnam, WW2, and Modern every now and then. We have two main events on Friday 2200 UTC, Saturday 1900 UTC. Then we have some side events during the week - these can vary in day and time but are fully optional. Special events occur at certain times in the year, Team vs Team events occur against other units, and other events allow Delta Company to partake in a wide variety of missions throughout the year. Faces of War [WW2]

This is probably haunting my mind in some subconsious way lol I just think that not having a lot of requirements would be easier for cross mod compability? Since ArmA updates 95% of the times always break mods in one way or another, all three mod teams would have to work together and take more time bla bla... Then there is ACE 3 compability, possibly ALiVE and other mods that the community might want to mix in with FOW/HIP/IF. Though I'm not very pro when it comes to modding. It just feels easier to make it an option rather than requirement (Please don't kill me). I'm sure it will be an amazing end result either way. I can't wait ;_; Forgive me, father Steel
