    ARMA 3 Addon Request Thread

I am requesting that someone make a map based on the US Virgin Island Thomas. I really don't care what the name is. If you are stuck and don't know what kind of name to use, I just suggest Crikx Island. thats the best i can come up with lol. Anyway, my friend and I thought this would be a really awesome woodland map to create, simply because it seems like it could be a really great map for Arma. Considering all of the trees on this island, and on the right side of the island there is a lot of urban activity (which could be modified, made smaller), I think this is a great idea for a map. If anyone does take this up, please be sure to include all the islands shown in the picture. You can get the topography for this at http://opentopo.sdsc.edu/gridsphere/gridsphere?cid=geonlidarframeportlet&gs_action=rasterOutput&jobId=raster14258622972621957792760. Use the L3DT tool to do everything you need. I attempted to create this map myself, but the terrain builder is WAY too complicated. I was making mistakes left and right and I knew for me it would just be impossible without the proper teaching. Good luck to all of you that try this! 2. Thanks for the tip, I'll have to try an SSD when I get the chance.
  3. Alright. I've had enough of LOW FPS in Arma 3 Multiplayer. Sometimes I even get low frames in singleplayer. I will post my specs here: Intel i5 2320 3.0ghz EVGA GTX 770 2GB SuperClocked ATX cooler 8GB Ram HDDs: 1TB Primary System Drive, 1TB extra files drive, 2TB drive (the first one is the fastest, and has arma 3 installed on it) 600 W PSU Corsair So, I am wondering if the low FPS I get is because of my processor. I just upgraded my g-card, which is now a gtx 770, superclocked from evga, and I am able to play on ultra, as I used to have a Radeon 6670, which couldnt get good frames for shit on LOW... I turned SSAO off and it gave me a few frames. The view distance I turned down to the minimum, and it gave me a lot more frames..on singleplayer. I will get 60 on singleplayer roaming around the map with basically no props. In multiplayer, for example, Altis Life, I'll go on a 20 player server and ALWAYS get less than 30 FPS. It's annoying, and sometimes I just will go play another game because it's so irritating. I don't think there's anyone with my specs as well, so if anyone could reply to this that would be great. BTW, resolution, of course is 1080p.
  4. I'm sorry about asking this newbish question, but I have been looking all over for a simple scripting tutorial. I've been trying to install your vehicle respawn script, and I have no clue where to put it. I'm not sure if what you meant by 'root mission folder' was this: C:\Users\Username\Documents\Arma 3 Alpha - Other Profiles\Username\missions\MissionName I've been trying to get this problem solved all day, can you explain to me where exactly to put it and i will be good to go. Thanks for your help.
