  1. Is there any way to show for example "Direction: 037" in the bottom right of the screen with the numbers being your compass bearing for what direction you're looking?

  5. I agree, Rearmed for ArmA III would be amazing. Just imagine how much content we'd have for ArmA III to mess around with! Right now the Alpha is rather limited in content and could definitely use some more.

  7. Sa-Matra, if possible can you remove fog from appearing? It's incredibly frustrating. Either it's that or the US servers are running on a super low view distance. Speaking of the US servers, why do I get lower FPS on them than on say #5 EU? I'm talking about 7-10 FPS whereas I get ~20 on #5 EU.
  8. Ahh I know just the solution. When it starts stuttering hold Left Shift+Minus on Numberpad for a few seconds then type flush. Clears your video memory.
  9. Arma 2 in singleplayer has much more effects, explosions, vehicles and it does all the AI calculations on your own CPU which is even more intensive yet it still runs better than Wasteland. Arma 2 multiplayer also runs better.
  10. How come in Wasteland I get like 13-25 FPS on a good day however in regular Arma 2 OA and in DayZ I get 45-60?
  11. Sa-Matra, night lasts way too long. All the time I see people complaining about night on sidechat too. LET THERE BE LIGHT SA-MATRA!
  12. ^ Sweet! I hope it's another US server. The current US servers are so damn sluggish that it leaves me playing on the EU servers.

I tested out JSRS w/ CBA on various arma2.ru wasteland servers and I found out that it works fine on servers with a low playercount (under 30ish) and it starts getting sluggish and glitchy on servers with servers with a high playercount (over 30ish) The problems include slow loading of spawn menu, player menu and scroll wheel menu won't show up. Respawning leaves you waiting in debug land for a while. In general a lot of UI errors. I did a little research on JSRS and I found the following quote :c

  16. Sa-Matra, something really needs to be done about team-killing. Sometimes I want to log in and have fun with a preset team like Blufor and Opfor but then there are always jackasses who think they're funny and start teamkilling. A few times me and my friends have been shot at by assholes and then we're forced to return fire and then get separated between Independent and Blufor for example. I think the only possible solution is to turn off friendly fire. Sure you could ban people but then once we start banning everyone that TK's we also get innocent people who have bad aim and people who are forced to fire back into the mix.

  18. Is there any way for the <squad nick=""> field to be empty and still work? I don't want any [CLANTAG] to pop up. If there isn't any way to keep it empty is there any way to move the clantag to the left instead of the right?
  19. Sa-Matra, The current classes for the 3 teams are uneven and unbalanced. Currently Blufor holds the advantage, Opfor is in the middle, and Independent is left in the dust in terms of special class roles. Do you have any plans to balance this? Is it even possible to fix? http://pastehtml.com/view/cdcw8qol8.html Classes Medics: Blufor 4, Opfor 4, Independent 3. Engineer: Blufor 5, Opfor 4, Independent 3. Classes with Body Armor: Blufor 18, Opfor 1, Independent 0. Blufor and Opfor medic classes also have limited inventory compared to Independent medics.

  21. Why don't the restart timers for the US servers show on http://wasteland.arma.su/ Also is there any way to have some persistence in terms of bases? Kinda like how bases save in DayZ?
  22. Suggestion: Make the gun store radius the same as the town spawn radius or include it in the gun store radius. I've noticed that guns stores turn into death matches where people are around the gunstore for a long period and are accused of camping when they're really in a nonstop battle. To provide a more accurate description. Say there are two groups, Group A and B. Group A is currently inside the gun store. Group B enters the gunstore town and both groups engage in a firefight. Group A kills off all but one or two of Group B. Group A currently is not in the town radius, this allows Group B to spawn in their teammates within about 50m of where they died with enemies very close by. I've had this happen to me and a good amount of other players and is very frustrating. I've also been on the opposite end where I was spawning in teammates and it definitely gave us a unfair advantage. I've had this happen in Myshkino, Prigorodki, and Gvozdav. (I apologize for any spelling mistakes.) I don't know about the rest and if they're also plagued with this issue as I don't visit the other gunstores much. The solution would be is to have the towns spawn be affected by enemies in the gunstore or to increase the radius to cover the town.
  23. Hey Sa-Matra, I've had a few problems regarding the group system. I'll tell you everything we did so you can try to replicate the bug. First me and and my friends log in then we make a group. We all accept and join. The problems starts when. either one of us leaves the server to go do something shortly or disconnect via ping kick and then the person later comes back OR when a new player tries to join that wasn't online when the group was created. When the group leader tries to invite the player, the player gets an invite however if they press accept invite nothing will happen. The solution we found to go around this is to have everyone leave the group and make it as a new one. It's pretty frustrating to have to remake the group everytime we have a friend come online.
  24. I'm not sure if it's possible to fix, or if you would even want to but I ran into a... problem. A few buddies and I were playing Independent and we made our own group using the new system. We had a tank and we were selling weapons at the gunstore, out of nowhere some other Independent guy comes out and enters the tank's gunner seat while I'm in the drivers seat, this resulted in a annoyingly frustrating time for us. Is there any way to register other independents not in your group as enemies in terms of getting into vehicles? For Independents that want to group up they can just make a group.
