  1. That quality of weapons is seriously lower than in vanilla A3.
  2. Hello! Here's some quick feedback, if you don't mind. Weapon's quality - can it be brought up to the level of vanilla A3? These, for example: 1, 2, 3, 4.     Wow, this is awesome! Keep it up! I've got a question. Is it possible to enable free look for driver seat when inside the vehicle? Those awesome windows on the sides always make me want to turn my head left and right when driving.

    UAVs: Feedback and wishes

    UAVs are just part of the bigger picture. I want to see datalink-like system to be implemented. All datalink devices have dynamic map markers on them (vehicles + rugged combat PDAs for team leaders), and those who have an ability to estimate range to stuff (with laser range finders, so these are vehicles and SOFLAM users + UAVs) can create map markers on the spots they're currently looking at by using their GPS coordinates + distance/bearing/elevation data. Say, one or two markers max per datalink-capable device at the same time (to prevent spamming). This would help immensely in multiplayer scenarios and allow greater situational awareness. You look at your target, use action menu option "CREATE MARKPOINT" and then map marker is created instantly for everyone on your side. Then you can delete it with another action menu option, or create a new one somewhere else and the old one gets erased automatically.

    laserTarget use on gunner

    Did some research on my own. There is a nice global variable ace_laser_object in ACE2, which works even better than laserTarget. It is local to each player, and I use it this way: _laserObj = ace_laser_object; //it's either null or object, depending on laser status, just like with laserTarget _laserObjPos = position _laserObj; Also, there is an array called ACE_LASERTARGET_ARRAY, which contains all live laser target objects, might be useful for someone else too.

    Hmm.. This is strange, but only the last method with laserTargetW works on my end. ARMA2 build is 1.60.87580 (1.60 release, not beta), ACE 1.13.0.544. EDIT: Oh, now I see why. Everything works on ARMA2OA vanilla, but not with ACE. The thing is, nearestObjects doesn't suit me, so what do I do?
  10. Hello there. ACE2 user here. Been doing some scripts with my bro, and got stuck with laserTarget command not working as it described in BIS wiki. _designatedPos = position laserTarget player; This part above works fine, in case of infantry with SOFLAM/Vector21. You get laser target coorditanes just fine. But when it comes down to getting the same thing from, lets say, AH-1Z gunner with laser ON, it just doesn't work: _target = laserTarget gunner heli; _targetPos = position laserTarget gunner heli; You just get null as if you'd not use laser at all. What is wrong with it? We've been trying this in various different combinations, with different choppers, tried this and that, but with no result whatsoever. What are we doing wrong? So uhm.. anyone?

    I'm afraid there is a difference. We did test it in 1.60 beta for up to 2km. It was definitely there.

    Hello there. There was a lovely feature in 1.60 beta that allowed other people to see your long range hits in MP (perfect stuff for sniper teams). Thing is, there is no such thing in 1.60 release version. So, my question is - WHY?! And, more importantly, can we actually get it? I can understand if it was making some impact on FPS, if it did any, but why not to make long range hits MP-visible only for optics then? Crying out loud, people. Really. :mad:
