    New Shemaghs

Thanks for the replies guys, and the uniforms have not been released not sure if we are going to or not. As for what you can wear with the shemagh...the face wrap you can wear helmets obviously, but not glasses. Thats why I thought about making goggles/glasses and such to go with them if you choose to wear them or not. Thanks for the comments, gives me more motivation to finish these bad boys. Lastly, I am trying my best to make sure its a proper addon. It would be my first official addon release so hopefully it works out well. THanks again, guys.
  2. So, a friend and I decided to start making some Shemaghs instead of waiting for the ones in game. Plus, I get a little practice in on making some more mods. Below I have listed some pictures of the WIP and what will be released in the pack in a few days if not sooner. Shemaghs OD Tan Black (Maybe) White anything else? Future Types Head Wrap Face and Head Pictures For some reason I can't actually get the pictures to show on here. 1. https://www.dropbox.com/s/3v87joev4xdjkw1/arma3%202013-07-10%2013-43-45-94.png 2. https://www.dropbox.com/s/cvvf5g7rtako73a/shemaghFace.png 3. https://www.dropbox.com/s/f0s9adzlm3veloe/NeckShemagh.png Please leave any comments you would like, or even some constructive feed back. Go easy on me. Note: this is a WIP so some clipping you might see is fixed.

    No texture for friend?

no I don't think so, so I should move everything to my :P drive and off my desktop than see? Someone was telling me that you only have to do that to view in Bulldozer but I can view it in their just fine. I should still move it. ---------- Post added at 09:05 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:47 PM ---------- Yup that did it, thanks a bunch sir.
  8. I sent the mod of my shemagh to my friend but when he views it the texture is not on there but when I view it, it is...how do I fix this? or what am I doing wrong? ---------- Post added at 08:06 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:14 PM ---------- Forgot to mention that we are trying this locally on our own computers, not on multiplayer or anything. I don't understand why he can't view the texture though if its attached to the model through O2.

    Shemagh attach to?

yeah, thanks just realized you posted. I figured it out last night, but your comment is much appreciated.
  10. I have made a shemagh, well when I equip it, it takes away the helmet I am wearing and Vice versa so I know it has to do with the config. which I have put below. I am just not sure what I should do about the situation. config.cpp

    RVMAT's help

Thanks for the response, and I did search the web for info. but like I stated it doesnt really tell you how to apply them or when to. Just a bunch of script stuff.. Example: ummm...ok now what lol where do I put that? what does it do, point made searching the web for this stuff not much info. on how to apply it or what it even does. Sorry but I am fairly new to the modding myself so I would just like to understand how to apply the stuff. I managed to get my model of shemag in game no problems because I understand it, so I know once I understand this stuff it will be ok but having a hard time on these RVMATS. How do I make just a basic cloth rvmat?

    RVMAT's help

I have a few questions as to how to use RVMAT's. I don't have the slightest idea how to use them. I have my model of a shemag I made, but I am unsure how RVmats and such work. I have been searching the web, but from what I am able to read doesn't really tell me what they do or how they work. I would just like to know do I need an RVMAT for my shemag or a spectecular or w.e they are called?
  14. These units look really great. Keep up the good work. I think that they would all look much better though without the default pants that come with Arma 3. I think the jeans and such look much better and match their attire more than anything. Either way you do it, looks promising and something to look forward to.

Debating on making a m40 mod

lol, well I mod every single day and must say its very time consuming and quite difficult if you have 0 exp. with it. But on the bright side its well worth it once you have a mod in game working. Making a weapon is one thing, making Optics is another, getting it in game another ball field. It took me awhile to get the drift of things and I am still not that great. You must have a lot of motivation or else you will just give up. yes, its very doable with no exp. but will take a lot longer due to learning the modelling programs, than once you have your weapon and optics you need to start learning scripting. There are a ton of people on here willing to help out. Wish you the best, if I see your posts I will try to help out. First things first, download a program and start learning the controls of the program. Than always remember to keep your poly count low as possible.
