  3. Thanks for the feedback! I will try to fix both of the issues. Next release will probably the last week of August. Just a question regarding the script error: does it also come up if you disable the autoheal function in missions parameters?
  4. Thanks! I really appreciate your comment! I will keep it playable as SP because just like you i like to play alone or with just 1 or 2 friends most of the time. I will try to add Side missions when i am back from holiday. Also thinking about adding air support on demand! What exactly do you mean by adding workshop support?! Did you encounter any problems while playing?
  5. That's true! I forgot to remove the suïcide option and i could disable server stats as well. The other option is to use the radio for interaction but personally i like using the scroll menu.
  6. Hi, I mostly like to play A3 in SP or in a small COOP with friends against AI. Inspired by Insurgency and other user missions on this forum, i finally found the the time to make my own. This mission is fully scripted and can be played as SP as well as COOP (Hosted). It has 10 playable slots in 2x 5-member squads (COOP 2-10). All is written from scratch except the ammo box script (authors: Riouken, Pzar, dwringer) I'm not sure if it works on a dedicated server, I believe there are some issues regarding certain commands not being compatible. From a scripting point of view it should work. Operation Artemis The whole map of Stratis is occupied by East forces, except for the airbase which is controlled by West. The goal of the mission is to capture all Red zones across the island, which are calculated based on the vincinity of roads and buildings. The total amount can be controlled as a mission parameter when you play as MP [Nr of zones on map]. Whenever a human player comes near a zone, random troops and vehicles may spawn. Their presence, amount, unittype etc. are randomly chosen on every activation of a zone. If there are no more enemies in a zone, a zone is captured. The distance at which zones activate is 600 meter by default and this can be adjusted in MP for performance reasons [Activation radius of zones]. Also you can disable spawning allied units in Blue (captured) zones [Enable West AI units], however this kills immersion and disables random skirmishes. If you play in SP, you can teamswitch to any teammember, while staying in command. Also, when you and all your teammates die, you can teamswitch to a new member on the airbase. So this functions as a type of respawn. The mission currently has the following features: * Recruit AI team when on the airbase (HQ) by using your scroll wheel menu (can be disabled in MP) You can remove selected AI units by radio 0-0-1 * Heal yourself and AI team members (if you are the group leader) when on the airbase (HQ) by using your scroll wheel menu * Insert yourself and you team into the battlfield by HALO Jump by using the flagpole in HQ. Note: This feature is currently crashing MP servers, so it is disabled by default at the moment! * Insert yourself and you team into the battlfield by Helicopter by using your scroll wheel menu (can be disabled in MP) and clicking on the map. A helo will pick you up at base and fly your to your destination. This is either a littlebird or the SF chopper (random). There can only be 1 request at the time, and a request can be cancelled by using the scroll wheel menu as well. * Extract yourself and you team out of the battlfield by Helicopter by using your scroll wheel menu (can be disabled in MP) and clicking on the map. A helo will pick you up at your pickup location and fly you back to base. This is either a littlebird or the SF chopper (random). There can only be 1 request at the time, and a request can be cancelled by using the scroll wheel menu as well. * Request Mortar support by using your scroll wheel menu (can be disabled in MP) and clicking on the map. * Autohealing feature: medics in your AI team will automatically go and heal wounded members when in battle. Can be disable in MP [Enable autoheal by medic]. * A lot of vehicles are at your disposal at the airbase. They are automatically repaired, reloaded en refueled when on the airbase and with a human player inside. * Save your loadout by using your scroll wheel menu * Show some stats of the performance of the game (server stats, e.g. fps, amount of units, etc). Can be disabled by clicking again.Can also be activated by using the radio 0-0-2 * Commit suicide (leftover of testing) Apart from that there are the following options to change in MP parameters: [Teamsize player] The max size of your squad [show markers Opfor] Show enemy markers [show markers Bluefor] Show allied markers [infantery only (in zones)] Disable spawning vehicles in zones I spend a lot of time testing all coding, and have not been getting any script errors anymore lately. Therefore i am releasing it now, to see if all works well. I do have to say i'll be on a vacation the next 3 weeks, so I won't be doing any corrections any time soon. I would love it if some of you could play it and let me know what you think. Also if you find any bugs, please leave a comment on this thread. Note that is is still version 0.8, so no fancy briefings, voice acting or side missions, etc (yet?). Have Fun!     Hi, I really like your mission and currently it's all I play in A3. Most of the times I play the mission alone (LAN) or together with a friend. Therefore I really appreciate the fact that I can play with AI in my team. Please keep this feature alive in future updates!! Since you are asking for feedback, I actually have the following remarks: I am still using version 0.12 because then I am able to play as WEST. In the updated versions I can only play as the GREEN army. The problem with GREEN army is I get no sounds (talk) from AI units. I do not hear them reply or spot enemy units, which is very annoying. I woul really appreciate a version that allows to play as WEST. Maybe this could also be a mission parameter? When starting the mission (any version, non dedicated server) I get an error stating the following: It does not seem to affect the mission, however I got this error since I started playing your mission. So it happens in all versions. Last remark, I would love to see a random starting point. Mostly because I never have the time to play the whole mission through. This would keep things more interesting. Thanks a lot for all your efforts!

    Well, its actually based on the original Insurgency by Pogoman, only rewritten from scratch. I'm not really sure waht the differences are exactly, but you should really give it a try!

    Personally i only play Oden's counter insurgency (COIN) because it supports recruiting AI. This way its also awesome to play in SP or small coop. See this link for his latest version: http://odenhouse.servegame.com/ I would love to have the same option in Insurgency! Maybe someone can figure out how this is done.

    Hi Oden! I finished porting your warfare mission to Takistan, based on the latest release (20-09, including parachuting from airport). Mission is working fine! Since Takistan is a native map, i made two versions: 1) default city & camp locations, default starting locations (so no editing here, simply copy & paste) 2) manually placed city & camp locations, default starting locations (also added some extra locations to the map to decrease the distance) If you're ok with it, and someone is interested, i could post them somewhere. I like the parachuting feature. Would even be better if you could do it from base, and it would be awesome if AI infantery teams would parachute into the battlefield IMO. :D Not sure if this would mean a lot of work for you, but it would definately add to the atmosphere.:rolleyes: One thing is that i still get the missing warfare2vehicles error (playing CO), which is annoying although the mission seems to work fine. I already tried the following to solve it without any luck: - add class to mission - remove class from mission - reinstalled A2 & OA off steam - added warfare2vehicles from A2 as mod None of them worked, but i did find the following error in my RPT file: Addon warfare2vehicles (entry WarfareSupplyTruck_USMC) not found in the list of active addons. Warning Message: You cannot play/edit this mission; it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted. warfare2vehicles Addon warfare2vehicles (entry WarfareSalvageTruck_USMC) not found in the list of active addons. Do you know which file i should check/alter?     Thanks for your quick reply! Glad to hear you are still working on your missions, cause i'm a big fan! Because you said there is supposed to be a initmission.sqf in the root, which i didn't have, i looked into the way i extracted the .pbo, and there seems to be a difference in extracting the files. When using "extract pbo..." which i always did, the file metnioned is simply not there! So i simply clicked "extract", and there it was! Just tried in mission editor and everything is fine now. Also added the warfare2vehicles class to addOnsAuto and so far no popups anymore! Great stuff, i can finally port to Takistan now :) I'll definately PM you if i run into trouble, thanks!

    Hi Oden, Still having a blast with all your arma 2 missions, especially warfare! I'm playing your 1.05r version (18-09) and i have some issues/questions regarding this version. * the Zargabad version rocks! But i do get a 'warfare2vehicles missing' error in the first minute in the game. If i'm right this is a general arma 2 bug, but i'd like to know if you could fix it? It's supposed to be fixed when adding the class to the mission.sqm I saw it already is, when i de-pbo your mission, except in the addOnsAuto class. Maybe this will solve it? * Of course i tried this myself, but as soon as i de-pbo your mission, and pbo it again (even when not changing a thing), the mission is broke and i get a 'can't find InitMission.sqf' error. This is nasty, since i can't make any personal edits anymore. I also tried porting it to Takistan, but this bug has stopped it for me, cause i can't start the mission anymore. * last issue is only related to south sahrani. When the mission is started i only have one city to conquer, regardless of the server setting. This only happens on sahrani, cause all other islands are fine. I tried playing on A2, OA and CO and all show the same issue. I have no idea how to fix this, whitch is a pity since sahrani is one hell of a map. I have A2 and OA patched to the latest, so maybe this is causing my issues, cause i read your comment about BIS changing stuff in the latest patch. Although i know you stopped working on your warfare missions, the fact that you released new versions on 18-09 gives me a little hope you will look into these issues? Also as i said, i'd love to make a Takistan version of your warfare, is changing the mission.sqm and placing all object in mission editor enough, or do i need to change additional files? Thanks for dedicating so much time to the community!

  14. Hi, I really like to try this one, but i can't get past the menu/settings screen. First i get the civilian error. Then i can't click on any of the menu choices. When i use tab + space to press apply, the mission hangs. Same thing happens when i try to play the other version of your mission. I have both arma 2 + OA installed, both of steam. I thought all versions of OA are standalone?? Could you please make a fix so i can try your mission?

    Your are right, i re-downloaded it and now it works. I guess my download got corrupted. One thing i noticed (non version-specific) is that after playing a while some teams have "none" as their mission status, and they won't move anymore. Any idea why this is happening? If i switch to the commander role i can't assign them new missions. However they will follow any waypoints i give them. Seems like the "enable AI" has no effect on them. I'm not playing on a dedicated server, just hosting a private LAN game.
