Check my dxdiag in the first post for specs. I have no spyware or viruses. I CClean my registry errors once per week. I have 4 GB of ram. Both are patched fully through Steam. Also as I said the game worked fine until the other day. ---------- Post added at 10:44 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:43 PM ---------- Launching the game directly from the folder or from the desktop or from Steam I have the same result. I'm not using any beta patches.

Well I defragged both my HDD's and I'm still having the same problem.
-
I haven't defragged my whole computer recently, though with reinstalling the game it wouldn't be fragmented.

I don't start it with any addons.

I have had ArmA 2 since it came out and bought Arrowhead as soon as it came out and I have always had performance problems but nothing as bad as now. All of a sudden the other day, Operation Arrowhead stopped working. By stopped working I mean when I boot it up, as soon as window opens the whole game is slowed to 0.5 frames per second or less. I can't even navigate the menu, the game locks up constantly. I have to end up killing the process from task manager to get the game to close. Note that before this started happening I made absolutely no changes to my hardware or software configuration, and all my other games run as perfectly as they always have, including ArmA 2. Operation Arrowhead is the only game having this problem. It also happens when I launch Combined Ops. Now here's what I have tried with no resolution: Reinstalling video card drivers Installing previous video card drivers Reinstalling Operation Arrowhead Reinstalling ArmA 2 Below is my dxdiag. http://pastebin.com/fVUtsj4T

Which recoil model do you prefer?

Seconded; also agree with the post about the AI shooting much more frequently and more accurately. -

Very strongly prefer the vanilla OA recoil. -
The recoil is ridiculous... take it away. The game is unplayable for me without the beta patch and with the beta patch I can finally play OA without much lag, however, I am not willing to switch to the beta patch for better performance if it means that I can't even hit anything twice in less than 2 seconds. I thought it was actually getting closer to a simulation game I guess I am mistaken. Assault rifles do not kick UP when you fire them they kick back with minimal movement on the sights and it only takes less than a second in real life to re-sight your target. Also this makes the AI ridiculously more accurate than you and gives them a huge advantage over you.

I am trying to implement this nuke script into one of my MP missions. http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=8294 It's activated by using radio 0-0-1. What I need to do is limit the script so that it can be activated by only one person. What happens is, you press 0-0-1, then click on the map where you want the nuke to impact. Currently anyone can use the radio command and click on the map anywhere. I want the script limited so that only one person can call in the nuke by radio and click on the map.

Getting engineers to repair other vehicles
Bellum posted a topic in ARMA 2 & OA : MISSIONS - Editing & Scripting
I am editing Domination West v1.09. I just need one small thing. I need to know how to make the engineers able to repair new vehicles I've added with mods such as the F-16, etc... I've searched in every file and I cannot find out how to do this. Thanks in advance. -
