Until the gold edition of Nvidia Vista Drivers are out I use the follow settings in game which were from another user on the BIS forums. Runs stable, looks good, plays solidly @ 85fps in all areas.

I run Vista with my Quad Core Extreme Rig with an EVGA 8800 GTX. I found the following settings from another user quite helpful. Good FPS and no graphics glitches as yet.

8800 destruction tested 768MB VRAM (1600x1024,) Single Player/Multiplayer best look + FPS Viewrange: 1200-1800 Terrain Detail: low* Object Detail: very high Texture Detail: low* Shading Detail: very high Post Process: LOW* Anisotrophic: very high Shadow Detail: OFF or VERYHIGH Antialiasing: NORMAL Blood: High Min 30 normal 60 FPS anywhere. Â No crashes or bugs etc, Â I'm running an AMD 4000 so if you have core duo you can probably go even higher! Screenshot Mode: You can max everything BAR terrain (treat normal as max), Â keep vis under 3km if you want more than 10 FPS, Â Very high textures and very high terrain seems to bottleneck my PC and wham ARMA will freeze. Â No issue as I can just CTRL/ALT/DEL and reload it. these are good settings.. very stable

Most machines now being sold come pre-loaded with a version of Vista ... time to help us Vista users BIS, we are growing in numbers

Right click on the patcher program. Click on Compatibility tab Check the box (places a tick) against - 'Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP (Service Pack 2) Check the box (places a tick) against - 'Run this program as an administrator' I installed Windows Vista 64 Edition (Full install) yesterday, encountered the same problem as you, did the above, and all worked well.

Good on ya Mac Dead and Drop are great maps, players won't admit it these days, they have all gone high-brow.. but these maps were the bread n butter of all out assault

Small CTF maps and Mid Range C&H. I like to play these styles of maps competitively. I have no named favourites, I am simply told when to turn up for a match and play. It's the competition which makes the map great for me. It can be small or large, just make sure the opponents aren't AI and I am happy. At a push - CCL League - Excellent examples of some mid range C&H's (don't know the names of the maps) Mokra has always been one of the great maps I have played in a CTF environment.

I really liked it.. I watched it in the style of an MTV Video  Music was cool.. nothing like a bit of beat to brush away the cobwebs of old war themed music.  Good stuff. Nice transitions. Plus your first.. excellent stuff.. half the people here could not do this on there first try or 10th for that matter Â
