Couldn't have said it better myself. This is my whole point I've been saying about A3 all along. The fact that they keep releasing new dlc that no one has asked for speaks volumes. No need for me to carry on, Windies aid it best. I can assure you one thing, I'll never spend another penny with BI because of this. Laters!
-
It has to be the game's antiquated netcode. I can't believe why this isn't the number one priority of BI. Or, is it they know it can't be fixed because of a game engine that is a decade old? BF4 has no issues with this at all, as well as many other games. It's the proverbial 800lbs gorilla in the room IMHO.

New Weaponsway is way to much. And holding breath bug?

I'd like to see it taken a step further and add a switch to turn off fatigue for people who don't want the ridiculous fatigue and weapon sway features. -
agreed, they have made the fatigue system worse imo. It sucks because I really want to like this game, but as it stands, I can't and don't recommended it to any of my friends. The fatigue and gun sight swaying is an absolute game killer.

Official launcher isn't working
Cormega replied to AttentionHorse's topic in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING
My problem is it starts the game and when I try to join a MP game, a box opens on the upper right saying BETA- blah, blah, blah... Then it says You were kicked from the game. Tried this numerous times. Amazing how bi add shit people don't want, VR battlefield, seriously? -
I've mentioned this before and got ridiculed, but I thought you can't easily change\update the game engine?!?! Since Arma3 is using a 10 year old OFP engine, why not change it? Seems thats what dayz is doing. Hmm, wonder why they are just sticking with the old engine and waiting patiently for more optimizing fixes, like we have to with A3?

recoil, weapon sway, fatigue whats happend?
Cormega replied to Sillywabbit's topic in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING
The fatigue system in Arma is a gamebreaker to me. I'll never fully enjoy or support A3 on this fact alone. I love how people throw around the term "IRL" alot. Well, let me share my IRL experience. Just went to the local range with a buddy a few days ago. Sitting there thinking of this very issue, I decide to test it, "IRL". I hold my breath for 30 seconds, no gun sway So I can hold an aim for days without any swaying whatsoever, so how does this feature make the game, not only fun, but real? -
Nearly the exact same issue. My framerate has dropped substantially! Just slightly off subject, but directly related in my opinion, but why dick around with silly things like Zeus and not work on optimizing the damn game? I think they have hit a brick wall on the optimizing side of things and have simply given up.

What would you like to see worked on next in ArmA 3?
Cormega replied to Westonsammy's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
I assumed Net Code would be the number 1 concern of the community seeing as it affects most of us. Get within 5ft of an enemy and my frame rate plummets and my aiming is like I'm dazed and can't hold my aim steady. This is not a simulation of anything in real life. It's simply bad decision to build a game on a 10 year old engine and thinking it will be ok to do so. -
Take On: Hot Air Balloon

This is one of the best takes I've seen on the situation. Why doesn't BI acknowledge the game desperately needs a new engine? I've been a fan of this game since OFP and it's lacking the most important element of any game every made and thats: FUN. Arma simply isn't fun. Everyone will hate on me for this next statement, but I was at a buddy's house the other night and hes was playing BF4 and sure the game is overly sensationalized movie effect bullshit, but you know what else it was? Fun! We had a blast!

Arma 3 massive FPS issues, Tried everything - Nothing works.
Cormega replied to Weecow's topic in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING
I agree with Jay here, it's not your rig or your settings mate, it's the game. -
I have to agree with tentpeg as well. I don't even play the game anymore.

appeal to serveradmins: stop killing pvp, stop killing the game!
Cormega replied to fabio_chavez's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Well said. This is a huge factor for this game. Sadly enough, the game is dead before it ever had a chance. -
This is what kills me about Arma and BI in general. This is the 800lb gorilla in the room. The game (Arma III) is made with an out dated engine. Would it really have been too much to ask to use a newer engine? Officially the beta ends tomorrow and I'm so NOT excited about it at all. Unbelievable!
