Almost as if the little AI brains haven't had their RAM flushed or something. I also played Hamburger beach the other day and initially the dumbass commies in the beach were just firing wildly BUT as soon as that BMP (or whatever it is) first nailed my boat and I then quickly restarted.... it hit me every time from there on out.

    Refueling planes?

Just for those interested in the real thing: http://www.simhq.com/simhq3/sims/air_combat/basket/ "Somewhere in the world, right now, a naval aviator is flying steady formation behind a refueling tanker plane. Using a 4-way switch atop the control stick, he?s trimming every ounce of stick force out of the flight controls and making minute changes to the throttle settings as he stays in close trail formation with the tanker plane while he consciously refrains from attempting to squeeze the black dye out of the control stick grip. He?s also wiggling his toes inside his flight boots, trying to relax his muscles, gather his courage and focus his mind in preparation for an intentional mid-air collision with a heavy, cone-shaped metal basket that is hanging from a 40 foot rubber hose, gently swaying in a 250 knot slipstream just ten feet in front of his windscreen. His goal is to gently slide his jet?s refueling probe into the center of that basket, connecting his jet?s fuel tanks to the large supply of jet fuel in the tanker?s bowels. If he misses on this attempt, he may damage his plane. If he fails to get his refueling probe into the basket at all, his jet will eventually run out of gas, flame out and plunge into the unforgiving ocean below? " "Navy tanking is normally done in complete radio silence, something naval aviators have always taken great pride in. In this case, our tanker was orbiting at 7,000 ft above the ocean, in a 30 degree angle-of-bank turn, at a steady 250 knots airspeed. We joined up on the left side, close enough to see the necessary hand signals from the S-3 pilot." "Then it was our turn at the basket. Sluggo cracked the throttles back a tiny bit and put the refueling probe switch to EXTEND. The probe door flicked open and the probe rotated out of its bay along the right side of the forward fuselage. Accompanying the probe was the rumbling sound of disturbed air as the slipstream dealt with this new impediment to its smooth and orderly flow across the forward fuselage, a sound not unlike that of rolling a car window down at 30 mph. Thumbing the wings back to 40deg and deselecting the right engine as a source of cockpit air conditioning, Sluggo had effortlessly completed his refueling checklist as we slid back behind the S-3 in one fluid motion. Once behind the S-3, he bumped the throttles back up a smidge and stabilized behind and just below the S-3 and its awaiting refueling hose, it?s basket gently swaying in the 250 knot slipstream. Before we could plug,"

    Refueling planes?

I agree with ALDEGA. Sorry guys but in-flight refueling just isnt for OFP. 1.) Map sizes.....its just way too small however way you throw the dice. 2.) Unrealistic to have a F16, or UH60 or whatever enter into a combat zone with so little fuel that after 12 miles it will have to refuel. 3.) OFP just isnt a flight simulator.... Agh, anyway, if ya can MOD it and it works, good on ya, but if other more realistic and fun MODs/ADDONs can be made i'd suggest devoting time to them instead. Although that new game ....think its called "Soldat: Secret Wars" will have somehting like 6000KM x 6000KM maps and together with a *well i've only looked it at over the weekend and so far it looks like funky stuff* very good scripting/programming language called PYTHON (www.python.org) such mods might be real easy to do.

    Fn-fal & g3 units

Think Norway as well. One of my university buddies from Norway, during his required 1 year of service, fired the G3 or numerous occasions. Said it kicked like a mule, hehe.
  7. Yo Miles Yup, way ahead of you. I cracked open Flipper's latest M4A1 pack, and here's waht I found (skip down to the end for the lowdown): Textures - .jpg Configs - .cpp Models - p3d PAC - Level of detail files I assume - XXX_lod.pac And then just some wav files (dont yall think the M4 sounds kinda pissy now?) and menu/briefing weapon pics. Soooooo......:( No go. Maybe its tied up in the P3d model or something..eeek!
  8. Well, the title says it all. I've done searches in this forum, and no go. Even OFPEC doesnt have anything on it. So those who have made weapons mods, or who can help, please explain how the weapon sight (remember these are NOT the ones displayed in the briefing, these are the things you look through after pressing INS) pics can be changed. Thx

You might wanna try it. It's an ultralight trike (motor-glider). There are three versions. One with MG, a bomb version, and a passenger version. You find it in the editor at ''Resistance --> Air --> UL Trike (X)'' An image: And a DL link: Ultralight Trike Addon Till later, PSC<span id='postcolor'> SWEEEEEEEEEET SH1T MAN!!!!!!!!! Very nice mod. Within 20 seconds I was on the desert island, working out the exact timing to dropping 2 bad ass dumb bombs on a T80. Can't wait to fly through the lovely valleys and over the foothilsNogova has to offer.

    Ofp needs biplanes!

This got me thinking, and I think OFP is extremely well suited to a WW1 mod or even a new bloody game. All I can see right now, where it might not perform well is if (I'm not familier with the WW1 airwar, only ww2) all out realism requires 10 hours bombing runs, like in ww2.......... you'll kinda run out of map room real quick. But apart from that I think OFP will be bloody gr8 for a ww1 mod: WW1 isnt as dynamic and fast paced as modern day, 1985 warfare and thus the 12.5km map sizes will be more than enough. Hell we've allready got the bunker packs and hence trenches. The slow ass bi-planes will fit in perfectly.

    Wrp edit question

Hiya m8 *quickly before the moderator deletes this whole thread* Yeah, OFP:R changed some PBO file structures, but go to ofpinternals.megaforums.ru (WRPedit official homepage) and go to eitehr the TOOLS or WORLD sections. The 1st thread you'll see will deal with it I think. Either way, have a browse.

    Addon request: jet ski

Here's a link with some images for inspiration and maybe some textures: http://www.queenford.8m.com/gallery.html Ever wonder what it's like wiping out at 70km/h on a jet ski?.....................head, arse, head, arse, head, arse, head, arse, sink.
  13. Today, for the 1st time in my life, I went jet skiing. And......;), after ripping over the water surface at 100km/h I thought "Wouldn't this make a gr8 OFP:R addon?". So, to all you talented addon makers out there Kegety...wink wink nudge nudge, having a Jet ski would be awesome and, if done well, gladly appreciated by the OFP community I'm sure. Thanks Take care all

    Ofp with 3d glasses

I've tried using the auto detect method, and manually....but you see ..... somehow the 3D-Stereo program needs to detect the game is running and then either : 1. It auto activates the 3D-Stereo system or 2. It doesnt fire up the 3-D Stereo system but you can still enable it from within the game with whatever hot keys you assigend OR... 3. Neither.......*kleenex*. So, the hot keys wont work from within OFP, and the 3D-Stereo system doesn't activiate automatically when I start OFP.Im running glide and have configured Wicked3D (the program that auto detects and activates the sytem) to use glide and openGL.
