    Thermal scope?

What units come with a gun that has a mounted thermal scope? Which vehicles have thermal scopes (instead of light intensifier scopes) for their nightvision? I remember the Abrams Tank in VBS2 had a thermal scope, but it doesn't seem to in Arma 2. Is there a cheat code to equip the tank with thermal sight?

Make WALK the default forward movement speed

I'm having this same problem. Is there a hidden menu option to change this? Has BI yet created an upgrade/patch that adds this feature? It's been nearly 8 years since this topic was last posted in, and as far as I can tell BI is ignoring its customer base which is demanding this feature. I just bought it tonight, and I'm already actually strongly considering deleting Arma 2 from my computer and demanding a refund from BI or Steam (not sure who's holding the money that customers pay, whether it's BI or Steam, but whoever has it should pay back every customer who ever bought this terrible game with terrible game mechanics). My first experience with this game engine was in the US military's official simulator VBS2 (which I managed to get a copy of the free Lite version of the game), and it ALWAYS had walk as default, and then you held shift to run. I almost ALWAYS used walking, and only running when I wanted to quickly get out of an enemy ambush. You only want to have to hold down a button to set the movement speed to a speed that you rarely use (otherwise holding it can get very tiring), and trust me, I RARELY use running. I can NEVER imagine even WANTING to run by default. Even if you look at old FPS games like Doom, you held shift to run, and walking was default. I can't stand playing a crappy game where it uses running as the default. And yes, you have that STUPID workaround where you double-tap shift to make walking the default speed, but guess what, you then have to double-tap shift EVERY TIME you start the game. And that means whenever you get killed, and restart you have to double-tap shift. And that gets VERY ANNOYING VERY QUICKLY. That's about the most pathetic work around EVER invented by ANY game company. They should simply put an outright feature into the game that lets you go to the options menu, and then click a check box to make walking the default speed (and running the secondary speed). I can't even IMAGINE a game that gives the end user SUCH LITTLE CUSTOMIZATION over how your character moves. I HATE IT when game companies treat us gamers like this!
