    Quick question, atm i am setting up a server. Intel xeon E5520 2.7ghz + 32gigs of ram and Windows server 2019. If i use it as a dedicated server for arma, will i be able to host 64 players?

    Hey Jezuro, After playing this weekend i have some more feedback. 1: Votekicking needs to be looked at, multiple times i have joined a server to have some guy teamkilling with no reprecussions, even if the opossing team is helping out with votekicking. 2: Players can spawn infinite quadbikes destroying server performance. after an 8 hour back and forth fight an enemy player decided to drop in 100's of quadbikes, there needs to be a set maximum of each type a player can spawn. 3: When joining a server a player is sometimes put in a squad belonging to another player. 4: When joining a server a player sometimes has ai assigned to him, these have not been called but are shomehow assigned? 5: Sector scan messages need to move position, to have it constantly in the middle of your screen can become frustrating, a nice clean side message could be used instead. Thank you so much 4 the effort so far, the game mode is an absolute blast.

    Hi again. Ammolofi airfield does not work, AI will fly the jet towards gravia instead, even if that airfield is not held by your team. Yesterday we kept wondering why CSAT had wipeouts and fa18's. This is a rather large issue due to the fact that CSAT has 2 working airfields right next to their main base. ( Molos and Saltflats ) The AAC airfield can be lost quite easy due to heavy jet spam from csat, they can rearm at a save heaven and then bomb the hell out of it. Please make this a priority, the nato has no reason to go north ( only points ) A neat idea would be that nato could call in or have a carrier somewhere in the north. Thanks again.

    I just got my hands on a dedicated server with a xeon X3430, 2.4/4.8, 8MB, XUL, B1 and i was wondering if this would be sufficient to host a 32 player server on tanoa plus a earplugs script. perhaps you would know?

    i find it strange aswel. well from insertion point to sector ( about 400/500 meters ) will take you about 5 minutes to run/walk Been playing arma since alpha and have 5800 hours clocked ( https://steamcommunity.com/id/howmuch4urmom/ ) and i have never seen it drain so fast. Nor have i seen it gain so slow. I can imagine with a navid launcher etc it should take a bit longer. But please let not this be the main focus, i think some of my other point should be looked @ first.

    So the gear i use is: 1x overal 1x: leg strap 1x: Special purpose helemt 1x: Mk18ABR with all attachments and 3 magazines 1x: first aid kit. If you ask me, this is a very light weight. The fix should be to allow stamina regeneration when walking, moving but obviously not when running.

    Yeah running with a lynx is a bad idea, always has been but like i said in my post, i use the MK18 series ( marksman )

    Perhaps? i will look in to that It should but equiping a sniper rifle with only 3 mags and nothing else will fill the bar to 95% 2 grenades and some smokes will make it 100%, seems off to me but okay. Good call, will start doing so.

    im not using a full loadout as you said, its just an mk18abr 3 mags no backpack, just a vest and clothes as you can not select how many mags you take in the arsenal. Besides running a low weight sniper loadout should not take 2 minutes to regain stamina.

    I have played some more yesterday and i have a few suggestions. 1: Stamina system needs a rework, a soldier can not run out of breath after 10 seconds, it takes 2 minutes to regain and 10 seconds to drain. 2: Weapon loadout should not affect the users stamina or not as much as it is right now. ( Has been answerd ) 3: The rebuy your last loadout option should spawn you with new mags instead of last held amount. 4: The arsenal should allow players to add magazines to their loadout, a mk18 comes with only 3 mags. ( Has been answerd, you need to be in backpack or vest to add ) 5: Let players equip any clothing, i like the special purpose helmet wich has been added but we need to be able to wear the suit aswel ( since thermal is active this is basicly a must ) 6: Ammo crates should spawn ALL ammo types, for instance now it does not contain 20 rnd 7.62 for MK series. 7: Clean up crashed vehicles sooner, if a jet is downed on the runway it needs to despawn faster. 8: It is hard to see if a player belongs on your team or not when viewing from a distance, crosshair has to be on the player for it to show the name, can this be looked @, it should be more visable. ( Has been answerd, must use binoc's to identify, more emersion ) This is it for now, keep up the great work, this game mode has it all but needs some tweaks.

    Hi guys, Yesterday me and my friends played a long session ( eventually won it ) It's great, the multiplayer aspect is awsome, you can vote for the next town you think your team needs and coordinate that with the rest of your team. Calling in AI to defend or attack is also very nice. I have one request and that is to add earplugs like in KOTH and Wasteland, my ears started to bleed after 3 hours.

    Setting the graphics to low is the worst thing you could do as it will ask your CPU to do more because it then thinks you have a subpar graphicscard wich you do not have.

    You are using Hamachi because you got a cracked copy of the game? If so then don't count on any support from any of us. If you have bought the game, why not host a server trough the ingame option

    Does this happen even in SP? I must agree with Gunter that it might be the low ram speeds but i would not expect this to happen in SP. Please elaborate

    Several questions about helos from a newbie

    Legends, I have a hotas setup but use it only for the Xian as it gives me more thruster control. Also being able to use the flaps up/down in auto vectoring / regular flight is also a plus. For a heli i will have to test it out, even after 8k hours i have never actually tried it lol.

    Which CPU for Arma 3?

    Can confirm 7700K with 16 gb 3300mhz ram and GTX1070 is killing it in Arma Depending on the server i am getting around 120 / 90 FPS with everything maxed out. when turing supersampling to 150% i will get 60 FPS on any server with any mod. I will get drops when looking @ cities towards the 90 mark but never drop below it. I have not overclocked my CPU but i also see no need for it. If you have the cash, do it.

    1: Leave controls as they are 2: Mouse sens is a personal thing, adjust as needed 3: correct, anything below 25km per hour will change it from jaw to turn 4: Any mouse that will let you bind pitch up to a thumb button 5: If you want to be a pro pilot then go for advanced but this changes the way a heli is flown, i don't reccoment it because you can be a pro with standard 2. 6: None, you need the clear vision and no obstructions 7: There is no clear cut guide for using a heli in Arma, it comes down to training, i have 8k hours on Arma and most of it is spent in the pawnee. 8: In advanced flight model the heli's simulate a near authentic feel. 9: Online 10: don't know, you will have to record it for us to determine if this is an issue or not. Tips: 1 Learn how to decrease your speed in a matter of seconds this can be done by moving the mouse left or right and pressing pitch up, Q or E depending on the direction your nose is pointing @. 2 Learn to avoid objects when going high speed, in pawnees stay low to avoid detection, basicly in any helicopter unless you are engaging a heli that is flying higher then you are. In this case use the mouse to make many tiny movements to prevent the gunner from hitting you. ( never fly in a straight line ) 3 Learn the bulletdrop in the helicopters, set a marker 1500 meters away from you and try to land hits, adjust accordingly 4 In my opinion the most difficult aspect is learning how to rotate around an object in a circle, place down a tower and try to keep your nose pointing towards it at all time, once this is mastered you will be able to destroy any helipilot, i hardly ever lose a pvp in heli's due to this fact. 5 Invest in a simple trackir solution as this will take your flying to the next level: http://www.delanengineering.com/
