    Game launch error

    Same Error. Clean install no mods. Drives are up to date. New profile. Yes steam is running. The developer version does run with out error. The non-developer crashes with the access violation. MSI Laptop with Intel 530 and Nvidia GTX 970M video cards. Solved. Running the non-dev exe file in windows 7 compatibility lets it run.
