  1. I tried one of the dev branch things and it's working now. Your fix was not difficult to understand, it seemed to involve the changing of only a single line; indeed I found my device to be 'disabled', and I changed it to 'Custom' after the manner of all the other devices listed. There were no signs of any other disabled devices. But it didn't work. Have you tried the dev branch yourself?
  2. I tried this solution also, it didn't work, it had absolutely no effect. My controllers remain f***ed up and unusable after 1.64, thanks a f*** of a lot Bohemia (sorry Barthanol)
  3. Greetings devs As far as I know, it is not possible to adjust the brightness level of the guages in helicopters in Advanced Flight Model. In the bright daylight it is no problem. But at night the guages are too bright. Is there a way to dim them? If not, could you include that as a feature? Thanks, Hard-trainin' pilot
  4. Greetings all, my question concerns advanced heli flight model. At night when flying in near-total darkness, the guages are blindingly bright. Is there any way to dim them? Script? If not, how can I suggest this to developers?
  5. Playing a mission: Bot boss asks me to 'Report my position.' How the hell do I do that? He keeps asking, I can't do it, and the mission fails me after a minute or two. So how do I report my position?
  6. I use mouse and keyboard to fly helicopters. (Don't tell me to get a joystick or HOTAS or whatever.) I use F to raise collective, and A to lower collective, and nothing for the Collective Analogue controls. When I press F or A, there is a brief pause, then the collective slowly starts to rise or fall. It is very slow and I know that in a real helicopter this can be done much faster. (Just watch some hog hunting vids on youtube!) Any way to get under the hood and speed this up? (Yes, my windows control panel keyboard thing is set to minimum pause time before repeat) (Actually one trick I use is to set SPACE to analogue collective raise, which instantly snaps it to exact middle position, but this is not really satisfactory) Can this be adusted via scripting or something? ********** PS Watch how fast the collective can be manipulated in a real helicopter: If that link fails for some reason, search for "Pork Choppers Aviation - 468 Hog Helicopter Hunt (no music)" on youtube

  8. In TOH video Options there is a graphic of a gray square inside a gray circle, with the caption "Calibration images should overlap." What does this mean exactly? Mine don't appear to overlap at all and there is no way I can make them do so. Can anyone explain? Is this a bad translation from Czech or something?
  9. I have a related question about video settings. In the vid settings it shows a gray square and circle with 'calibration images should overlap.' Should they REALLY overlap? Mine don't. Can anyone explain?

    Patch V1.06

In patch 1.06, in Video Settings, there is a gray square which is inside a gray circle, and a caption which says these calibration images should be overlapping. Right now they are not, and I don't see how to make them overlap. Could someone explain? I did searches in this and other forums for the keyword 'calibration' without success. At the moment my video settings are quite nice looking, but I am wondering if things could even be better with some 'overlapping' whatever that is. So: should these two gray things REALLY be overlapping?
  11. I have a rather decent frame rate. My question is: In the Video Settings there is a graphic of a gray square inside a gray circle. It says, 'Calibration images should overlap.' Currently my TOH video display looks quite acceptable for my modest hardware, but I am wondering about this 'overlap' business. Right now these two shapes are most definitely NOT overlapping. Could someone explain? I have searched all forums, and this forum, for the keyword 'calibration' and have found nothing.
