understanding campaign design

Recommended Posts

the four branches of the military represent the four areas: beach, air, land, and the sea.

the air force is responsible for securing the airspace

marines secure the coasts making sure noone can escape by boat or just loading

supplies to force an enemy out whichever.

marine expeditionary units are marine units tasked with waiting out at sea on call

during heightened states of tension

the army handles targets the marines haven't reached

airborne is a unit that is either dropped in or by chopper, in the old days it was all by parachute.

infantry and mechanized infantry arrive either by foot or by vehicle from a base

if they're even needed at this point

the reason for this is so that inland targets can be secured

from escaping as well as anything from the sea, coast on

back all at the same time, even the air.

when war starts all branches of the military rush to get to their intended targets.

the spec ops are generally hit squads in support of whichever branch they serve

force recon are marine commandoes unit that handles spec ops for the marines

rangers are the army's spec ops, if you see

rangers the army isn't far. they usually

go hand in hand, but rarely without each other.

green berets sneak in and commit to subversion

through guerilla warfare. their motto is de opresso

liber, to free the oppressed. they usually fight for

people who have been oppressed to befriend and

fight on their side, or use them for the american

agenda and intel.

(force multipliers)

delta is an army counter terrorist unit. if massive

civillian lives are in danger you call in delta.

(protect civillians from terrorists)

navy now

navy seals are navy spec ops. since the navy is usually the

first one to react to international situations without war, the

seals are the prime candidates.

devgru is a navy version of delta, counter terrorists.
