ArmA Custom Faces For Free

Hi, i've been asked if:

It would be nice to have the face textures of the characters

available for it. As you have some experience with faces in ArmA -

do you think its possible to convert them?

after the conversion, sadly you'll have to scale up the face's front

side and get ridd of the ears/sides and use the current ArmA's

face sides/ears; so ya'll have to fade out the OFP face over an

ArmA's face that matches the skin and hair colour, and this is

hard to get and will not always be possible i think; also... the

bigger problem is the nose, that'll be i think the hardest thing to

adaptate or reform, and again... nothin' guarantees the success.

Hi, for use custom faces on the AI's on missions you've to: copy

the faces .jpg's into the mission folder and then whrite in the AI

Init Box: This SetFaceTexture "whatever.jpg" or This SetFace "whatever.jpg".

I can't remember which one was the good one of those two, but was

That look 3D ? Well I belive that wipman have some serious SKILLZ in making faces, but these are only textures. for "googles" you need a model etc etc

Hi, make goggles that look as if were a 3Ds pair of goggles is only

possible if you are far enough from the unit with that custom face;

the distance flattens the shape of that face and that will be the

only way of make a pair of tac-go's look as if had 3D's. Let's C ya

Hi, i don't have plans or will of make any real photo to ArmA face

texture, takes too long, it's too hard and use to look bad at the

end; so... at least i, don't gonna do any real politician based face.

I understand what you mean, I've tried myself, it isn't as simple as OFP used to be.

I've noticed with time it's relatively easy to blend the new texture on top of an existing one, however the facial structure is often to blame when it turns out looking bad.

I've searched all through this thread and the only link still working is the 1st template at the start.

I'm really desperate for some examples of face-paint on custom faces so far none of mine look good

Hey, i edited a couple of your faces Wipman to fit the look i was after.  Hope you don't mind.  After looking through alot of custom faces i couldn't find what i was lookin for, which was a rough dirty camo job.  I wanted something for use with british units, as we dont tend to spend time looking in a mirror like our American cousins, it needed to look natural.

This is what i came up with:-

Hi, of course that i don't mind if you or any other player edit any

of the custom faces that i did, they're there for us; the players.

That one don't looks bad at all... at least seems that it works, most

of the UK soldiers and RMC's that i've seen arround there, use just

the camo tubes on each other as Paris Hilton & the b****** of her

fellas do. The yankees seems that take or have much more free time

before apply the camo on 'emselves in front of a mirror, we did it

ourselves without any mirror using "what the nature had to offer us",

at the expense of 3 arrest days if the camo don't works... and 7

if you dare to paint something funny in your face that "offends"

the "proud history" of the spanish Armada, "the invencible..." heh.

I never was arrested (for that). ANyway. Have fun, i gonna get drunk.

 That would be the good old buddy buddy system, you put on your own camo paint. Then you get a buddy to check anywhere u missed.  This generally comprises of him getting a chunk of camo stick in his hand adding a good amount of spit (saliva) his or your choice on who's (to make it more applicable, incase anyone is wondering) lol and proceeds to slap it on you.  Ah the memory's....

Good to know you don't mind the images being modified and yeah i think it does the job quite well myself.

and speed, one with woodland camo and other without make up.

Hi, i don't want to do it, it's a true pain to make a Photo to ArmA's

face texture; nothing ensures you that the face that you've chosen

will work, fit or match the ArmA's head model or that it'll look like

the person or character that you want to port to an ArmA's face.

Even when there's a "shitty trick" to ensure that the face will fit at

a 75%, sometimes more... sometimes less... i don't want to do it.

In case of make again some try, other than those requests by my

fellas... it'll be a Bruce Willys custom face, TOS style again to make

Jackal happy; but i doubt that i ever gonna do it, maybe if he does

a pimp Walther P99... i could try it, but that don't gonna happen either.

Hi, another full maks custom face, with a kind of camo and some

"british style" zippers and holland DPM camo for the sleeves, i think

that will fit better with the SLA.
