Question: What does OBE do?
Answer: Interaction with Vehicles, Doors (Open/Close),Glass (Destroy) by simply pressing a button, instead of using the overloaded and clunky Scrollmenu.

=========== USAGE ===========

  • Select the desired point on a Vehicle, if it's highlighted (and the slot is free) -> Press your button* and get in it. It can't be easier.
  • Look at the Door, press the Button*, voilà, the door opens/closes it.
  • Look at a Window/Glass, have your Primary Weapon in your Hand (NOT Handgun!), press CTRL + Button*, voilà, the Glass is shattered in pieces

Since 0.2: 99.9% of the A3-Vanilla Vehicles (incl. DevTool for easy Mod-Support)

  • - Define your Custom Controll button "11"
  • - Define your Custom Controll button "12" to toggle "Show all avialable Points on a vehicle" ON or OFF (i hate descriptions...)

Esc -> Options -> Controls -> Keyboard -> DropDownMenu "Custom Controls" -> Select "User Action 11" -> Assign a button ("F" is suitable) -> Done.

Still? It never needed to be one the Server (except the bikey). It's pure Client-Sided.

Very good mod. Like an updated version of Action Button Mod.


Can you add incremental opening of doors/hatches? That is one of the best features of ABM and Ten Fluid Door Opening mod. This way I don't have to have multiple mods doing he same thing.

Your current main feature is opening doors and shattering glass. I'm unfortunately not particularly interested in these features.

Your vehicle interaction plans however look really promising and would be a needed addition to the game. That I'm very much interested in.

Having in future a standalone version of your mod containing only the vehicle interaction and not the door opening would be something for example ace³-users could look forward too.

Alternatively you could divide all this in different pbos and therefore make it modular.

This mod looks great.

Do you think that you could also add the ability to open the vehicle's door that you're looking at when it's available ? 

On the Ifrit for example.

Oh and is the button * changeable ?

Good mod. Efficient for things, gives a good UI over doors & objects too, but also less twitchy than the menus

Loving it so far!  Is there a way to increase the viewing distance of the vehicle positions ?  It seems like I nearly have to be right up them AND pointing at where they should be.  Could that be lessened a little (perhaps out by 1-2m) ?

I've bound the open  button to left shift. This is also my run button.... So I run up to a door and it automagically opens!  Brilliant for fast entry to a car too!
