Hello dear ArmA fans,

 

It's been a very long time. And now, finally, we could release our VME PLA mod for ArmA3.

Although, many of you may know, it's not the first release of our mod. We made our first release on Armaholic and Steam Workshop cuz I had a little issue posting threads here.

But I just realized that the issue is gone, so here I am presenting our new VME PLA mod to you guys. :cheers:

You should add this things next:

- Cars: some cars/4x4 with mg, missile/rocket launcher or may be Grenade launcher.

- Trucks: transport, transport covered, ammunition, medical, repair, fuel. The Shaanxi 2190 looks good for this

- IFV: ZBD-97/ZBD-04 you can take a BMP-3 as a base and maybe modify it

- IFV: ZBD-86, you can take a BMP-1 as a base.

- Helicopter: Mi-17 transport helicopter

- New weapons: machine gun turret, QBZ-81, Type 69 RPG, WY-91 grenade, mine, explosif, mortar, smoke grenade.

I know PLA is using a rocket systeme without tube, they put it on the ground, aim and fire, can be nice to see this kind of stuff.

- New stuff : chinese NVG, desert backpack, type 07 tropical/green camo.

Future vehicles:

- J-10/J-11/Q-5 Fantan planes

- WZ-10 attack helicopter

- ZTZ 99/98 MBT

New improvements:

- remove glasses from the eden editor, many glasses for character are "too much".

- add the compatibility to use QBZ-95 magazine in QBB-95, vice-versa.

- improve the underslung grenade sight when changing range

- In inventory, it saying that the vest doens't give armor, but in customization it has armor.

Request:

- add a tuto to how aiming with PF98/PF89 sight and night sight.

I'm using your mod wich I found very nice and very original. The problem is no vehicle, for the moment. So on my side I'm creating new vehicules retexturing some vehicles, for example the Zamak to Shaanxi 2190 and T-72 Moderna from ArmA II in ZTZ-99. Next is BMP3 and BMP1 in ZBD-97 and ZBD-86. I'm not expert in texturing but I do my best waiting better stuff :)

Kinda would be nice for the vanilla 5.8 mm magazines to be supported, at least if that doesn't result in Apex DLC notifications. (My other pie-in-the-sky wish would be this mod's 5.8 mm mags to be supported in Apex's CAR-95 and CAR-95-1, but I know that that's complicated by how attachments and magazines work by default... haven't heard of anyone successfully using the magazineGroup parameter that was supposed to solve this over a year ago.)

 

Still, cycle6, I'm really looking forward to seeing what your initial vehicle rollout (no pun intended) consists of!

I've been asked to help out with some of the vehicles.  Progress is VERY slow due to Real Life.  WZ-10 attack helicopter is coming together nicely.  Just the tip of the iceberg  :)

Cycle, FYI in case you didn't see this on my thread.  I have added PLA faction as an option in my SAM pack.  Renamed systems when I could find the new name designation in use.  Couldn't find anything about unique designations for SA-10 so that remains "SA-10".  When using the optional PLA pack, you now have the AAA, SA-10, and SA-2 (aka HQ-2).  I am using the PLA AA soldier with the "forest" camo, not the "desert" camo as the go-to unit for the systems.

 

Fun stuff - more things to shoot at!  :)

Yes, VME PLA has Alive configured groupings.  Right now it's just infantry I think, because there are no associated vehicles in the Mod.
