Awesome releases DG, any reason why the wildcat has had it's AGM fast roping removed?

EDIT: Also you have the base version of the wildcat available in zeus that if tried to spawn crashes your game.

Really really nice work.  Love the attention to detail on the doors and FLIR.

 

Would also be great if your mods supported Lala's interior light script, the stock AAF CH-49 and WY-55 are supported if it's any help, and they do add a great deal to passenger immersion.

 

The BAF AW101 HC3A appears to be missing it's RAF roundel.

 

I'm experiencing really inconsistent sling load capabilities with at least the AW101 with an AI pilot.  The stock AAF CH-49 appears to have no difficulty lifting a Hunter, one of Massi's land rovers, and quad bikes.  The AW101 with an AI pilot appears to fail to sling load 95% of the time.  I can understand if you lowered it's lift capability, but that it can struggle with a quad bike suggests something is amiss somewhere.

 

That said, this is the best Merlin & Lynx Wildcat mod out there right now.  Looking forward to ACE3 getting fastroping fixed. :D

It's sad that we will not see in this work a Puma helicopter... would be a great add to it.

 

Can't wait too see the other ones.

@Baconeo The reason AGM Fastroping is no longer getting supported in these mods are due to the fact that the modding team for AGM integrated themselves into ACE. Once there is an updated fastrope mod released either by the ACE team or anyone else i'll possibly look at supporting the feature. Also thanks for letting me know about the zeus issues, next update for the wildcats and merlins will fix this.

@rockfrog Regarding Lala's interior light script, I'm not too sure on how to implement it to the helicopters as I haven't looked at it however I might think about supporting it. I can't guarantee anything right now though. The RAF roundel should be fixed in the next update for the merlins, good spot on that one. With the slingloading I've been having problems adding this to the helicopters properly from the chinooks and onwards, I'm not too sure on how it works but there seems to be some strange way in order to get it to work right. Fair enough, although from a recent post from an ACE dev he said they hadn't found a suitable replacement just yet so we shouldn't expect it in the next few updates. Is there any chance the fast rope version for the wildcat could be included? We have started reusing AGM fast roping in conjunction to ACE so it would be greatly appreciated!

I'm going to wait until ACE release their own way of fastroping, that way i'll have something up-to-date to work with and test when I have a go at adding the support.

@gameronkel Nah the lynx isn't on the list as I never worked on one. I do plan on doing a naval version of the wildcat in the future however.

Parachutes updated on github, this is a replacement of the Static Line mod. The reason it has an individual release is due to the fact that this will be branching out to more than just static line parachutes.

Hey, DeltaGamer! We've been using your Static Line/Parachute mod in my unit for a while, and we like it a lot. Glad to see an update!

 

We just briefly tested it on Konyo's MH-47s and EricJ's MH60s, and it's functional, but we ran into a few issues. We're running a bunch of mods, so I'll probably come back with an update just running minimal mods.

 

1. The scroll action seems to duplicate, althought it doesn't seem to affect the functionality. Occurs in the MH-47s and the MH-60s.

 

2. With bad benson's Enhanced Movement enabled, you die instantly whenever the landing animation starts.

 

3. If you die after mission start, the scroll action(s) no longer pop up. You can fix it by reslotting in the lobby and rejoining if JIP is enabled.

 

I'll report back after more testing!

Hi DeltaGamer, any chance of the 50 cal being mounted on the wildcat ? specially in naval trim. Also would it be possible to have sniper laying down or kneeling out the door firing position ?

 

Also in the latest update it looks to me like you can no longer open the doors from the menu ? kinda ruins it when you got 2 snipers, 1 on each side trying to snipe :-)

I think there is a problem with the spare parachute from ACE when you use the DEGA Parachutes.

ACE modifies the parachute and gives you a non steering spare parachute when you have used or cut your main parachute.

 

When you land with your DEGA Parachute you have the ACE spare parachute and the ability to pack up the DEGA Parachute.

When you land with your DEGA Parachute you have the ACE spare parachute and the ability to pack up the DEGA Parachute.


Yeah it seems that the Reserve Parachute in ACE gets dropped next to the unpacked T10. It doesn't seem to be game breaking from my testing as you still keep your backpack and its contents so its low on the priority list.
