The General Dynamics (now Lockheed Martin) F-16 Fighting Falcon is a single-engine multirole fighter aircraft originally developed by General Dynamics for the United States Air Force (USAF). Designed as an air superiority day fighter, it evolved into a successful all-weather multirole aircraft. Over 4,500 aircraft have been built since production was approved in 1976. Although no longer being purchased by the U.S. Air Force, improved versions are still being built for export customers. In 1993, General Dynamics sold its aircraft manufacturing business to the Lockheed Corporation, which in turn became part of Lockheed Martin after a 1995 merger with Martin Marietta.

The Fighting Falcon has key features including a frameless bubble canopy for better visibility, side-mounted control stick to ease control while maneuvering, a seat reclined 30 degrees to reduce the effect of g-forces on the pilot, and the first use of a relaxed static stability/fly-by-wire flight control system helps to make it a nimble aircraft. The F-16 has an internal M61 Vulcan cannon and 11 locations for mounting weapons and other mission equipment. The F-16's official name is "Fighting Falcon", but "Viper" is commonly used by its pilots, due to a perceived resemblance to a viper snake as well as the Battlestar Galactica Colonial Viper starfighter.

In addition to active duty U.S. Air Force, Air Force Reserve Command, and Air National Guard units, the aircraft is also used by the USAF aerial demonstration team, the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, and as an adversary/aggressor aircraft by the United States Navy. The F-16 has also been procured to serve in the air forces of 25 other nations.

Key Feature and Simple use Guide

 

**Loadout Menu**

input the "Missile Carrier For Rearming" in map. it is can found Empty->FIR objects category.
if f-16 is near missile carrier and zero speed, Open Dialog action is will be activated.
press the action and configure your aircraft whatever you want.
Loadout menu is provide of select the loadout, change the skin, refuel and rearm. also loadout preset is supported.

 

**I-TGT**
please check the AWS Field Manual PDF File

 

**ADES**
F-16 Support ADES, can change skin and customize decal,roundel etc.
if you want to know more detail information about ADES, please check the ADES Custom Manual in AWS Manual Folder.

 

**ECM System**

ECM System is Jamming for Enemy Radar-Based Missile. your Aircraft is must equip the ECM Pod. you have ECM pod, you can see "ECM JAMMER ON", press it, ECM is will be running. ECM have 60 seconds of Operation Time, 40 Seconds of Recharge. so use for wisely. Also, ECM Jammer can't Jamming of IR Homing Missile, like Sidewinder.

 

**SEAD**
AGM-88 is can lock & tracking enemy Active Radar vehicle such as AA tank since Jet DLC update.

 

**Shortcut**

You must Define of Useraction key. below key list is shortcut for function.

 

UserAction 1 - Afterburner ON/OFF
UserAction 2 - ECM JAMMER ON/OFF
UserAction 3 - Open Dialog
UserAction 4 - Open I-TGT System
UserAction 5 - Jettision Fueltank
UserAction 6 - TGP Screen ON/OFF

UserAction 8 - TGP ScreenMode Toggle

**Replace the Pilot**
want to replace the pilot from FIR Pilot Crew Pack, just select the type in Combo box attribute in F-16

 

**Disable AB Sound**
check the "disable AB sound" attribute for disable the afterburner sound.

 

**Custom Save/Load **
F-16 is can save your own custom preset. just choose the weapon and texture and press the diskette(1,2,3) button. and load is choose the preset in weapon preset combo box.
if when you save the custom preset, just don't choose the combo box for texture preset.

No single flare mode.

The HUD is a lie. The true path indicator does not show your true heading. This is BAD for landings.

Mine is about the afterburner sound, it takes some time for the afterburner sound to end after you turn it off.

First, i'm using BIS CMFlareLauncher, they don't have single mode.

and Second is hud.. i don't know exactly what your mean.. but if need fix it, i will try for fix.

I beleive Firewill just put my Wipeout HUD/HMCS directly without any adjustments, However it will might change once I'm done with the proper

.

In the mean time you can use the ILS symbology to get on glide path, which appears when u deploy the landing gear and are properly aligned with the runway.

Yup, i landed fine, i used to play a flight sim that didn't have it, so my depth perception is on point. But it's something that would be greatly appreciated for an update. The HUD is neat and well built, a few improvements would make it even better. =D

I believe that there is already a key binding for the single flare mode, which is just a different config. I'm not exactly sure though, it was mentioned a few times awhile ago. But if that presents problems with current features, it's not needed, just something that would be relly nice to have back from Arma 2 times instead of bursts of lots of countermeasure resources. Also, the Afterburner kinda causes some sort of lag, and when i deactivate it, the lad disappears. Other than those few things, it's great. High detail, Maneuvers nicely, well done.

THANKS FIREWILL, I have been so impressed with this aircraft, the only thing I would like to point out is - the high level of glare from the canopy, Spartan John and Sauls Canopys are probably about right. Flying at night with no instruments are lit up. Other than that I love it, its such a great aircraft!!! Im sure we just need to give you time for the improvements
