not before several month to avoid too long waiting i'll make different small pack, one for USMC, one for japanese reinforcement and the last one for commonwealth

not really, you can try to land on it but .... it is more for the atmosphere than real air operation. Anyway it has 4 AA turret for defense, it works like a normal ship and add a great improvment in a fleet. If i find how to improve it's capabilities for air operation with some script, why not.

yes in fact i am working with WW2weasel, and he will make some AA flak effect (for the pacific war it is important when you see the different naval battle with air attack)

a new exclusive script for japanese kamikaze soldier who charge the ennemy instead of searching cover, he will add bayonnet script for japs and british. For the marines and the british forces i want to add a flametrower but i have to ask ProfT before if he let me use his flametrower system. for the moment that's all. I am still working for correct the different bugs, adding the DOdge WC52 series, the british chindits, M3 lee, Cal 30 MG, Typ 99 MG, hurricane for australians, avenger and wildcat for the US navy and Fleet air arm and maybe some new vehicules if i find something interresting to add.

No problem for the Flame thrower, i don't recall who gave me the permission to use it...(must be in the WW1 mod readme somewhere...).

This sounds great :D will planes have some sort of effects? smoke,fire,even tracers(I can't remember where I saw it but some soviet ww2 planes had tracers) and for flamethrower(no offence to Prof. T,and maker of original addon) I better like the one from ww2_mp mod,there soldiers and building actually catch on fire and run for some time before dying.

effect mean a lot of works, and using the other addon maker effect mean asking permission etc, most of them are inactive now so i make what i can, fortunally there is some good addon maker who help for this work.

the flametrower system of Proft is made with the WH40K mod work (that i am a member too) i find it wery good, i don't know those of WW2_MP

I thought that you only need to mention the original creators in credits. You are not making money out of it so where is the problem?

Because that's the way it must be done : asking for permission first. But it's true that it very difficult now with former OFP addon makers who have disappeared.

Too bad that the need for the permission (for old addons) did not disappeared when BI annouced their new contect licensing in 2013.

Anyway this MOD looks cool :) Maybe the LVT models look too bright/undamaged for my eyes.

I just hope for a kamikaze aircraft :P However I guess AIs cannot be "programmed" to use kamikaze in OFP.

yes it 's life, that's why i have to recreate several addon like the vickers Mg, the Piat,the bren carrier etc etc.

the LVT has just gone out the factory and you want that i damage them :)

the kamikaze aircraft is a cool idea, i already had it but it is very hard to script AI aircraft to crash on a specific target, the only way is to use the zero model like a missile but it need to be fired from somewhere!!

For the Kamikaze, you should look at the script of the Tomahawk cruise missile from BOH Mod. No need of a launcher and it works great against boats.

Looks good guys!

Downloading now and can't wait to play. I still have a fondness for OFP but I have to ask, why not make these for A2 or A3?

ArmA2 and 3 have enough modders, leave us the last handful of modders standing for OFP (BTW, there already is a Pacific mod in A2, dunno if they'll move onto A3).

yes ofp still exist because there is a small "band of modders" who want to give new addons, new mod etc. ProfT is one of them with some mod that you will never see anywhere like the napoleonic or roman's war mods. Making mod for A2 and A3 mean more works and as we are not numerous to make this mod for ofp i prefer to stay in ofp the mother of all "tactic games" .

By the way a new island is done, and if we manage to make our own script an island with a steam train. All the unit are in debugging time (very long) but the japanese, US navy and marines pack are almost finished, we have to finish the island (and maybe mission and campaign) and the commonwealth pack. I don't know when but for the two first pack it shouldn't be long.
