me n pook have made these changes so far:

- new CMA Mi28 config

- updated Readme and credits

- Added the -N (standard) and also the -NE model w/o flir and w/transport for 2, and the -D daytime model w/o nightvision capability.

nice job guys. i would like to know if you would be interested to improve the MQ-9 Reaper UAV.

the features i would suggest are :

- an option for the player to switch seats from/to pilot/gunner, so one player can have the full control of the UAV;

- a working laser designator function when using gunner camera view. (see expected results :

)

- GBU12 bombs in the two inner pylons (UAV textures model changes required), which is the standard armement configuration used by the USAF :

these improvements would turn the Reaper to a much more effective hunter killer system compared to the current version.

yeah ok that should be doable

I think pook already made a ride-on predator

looking at the mlod it's really easy to make it take different loadouts, i can even add the action to rearm it with a menu

NEW:

ok i've knocked together a plan for the Reaper that includes tech it is supposed to have, rather than just what is currently fielded.

mission makers can then choose what they want to load onto it.

I will add Brimstones for the RAF one too.

Currently they do not carry GBU39 or AIM92 but they were designed for it so why not?

and here are the final lights, with correct ambience and position.

note that the landing/ searchlight animates down 30 degrees when you take off (thanks pook!)

enabling the gunner to inspect the terrain below and forward of the chopper.

additionally he has a swivel light, seen here - in this pic the pilot is looking forward and the gunner has swept right 80 degrees to look at the house, with his laser active.

We can add those in no problem. Will be easier to track changes that way, and avoid needing to add a plethora of mods. All I did was a pchela fix in that mod I created.

yeah cool man

ok the skins you made are perfect! so darn good.

now the mi28 is almost ready - i gave the ME model to the CDF, the D model to the takistanis and kept the M model for the Russian and Insurgent forces. this way it keeps the total vehicle count below 50! otherwise it would have been over 150 new helicopters, and would flood the menu...

btw the viewpilot is fixed - thanks for helping on that

i re-added a still white light on the tail as per your original.

the ME model just needs a cargo space for the rescue guys, and some decals to do, and then we're good to go.

That's the NE model... N for "night capable", "E" for export. And those rivets don't look exactly right ;)

FYI, the NE model is "the" export model. The D model I couldn't find much information about at all. No night capability is all I can say for certain. So If I have preference, give everyone the NE model with few exceptions.

RE: the UAV. "DUH" we have the sample models now... I can merge my "attachto" trick into the actual model now, or find whatever memory points were defined by BIS, and presto we finally have a working Pchela, sans my original "tricks" to make it work :) Hello deployable recovery parachute! Also plan to use that invisibleman model reference to ensure that any get out commands don't "break the 4th wall" (to use a TV reference) by showing the "pilot" getting out. That's a config item. Only not sure about real world Pchela weaponry... I don't think there is any. I think it is truly a recon drone. I'll try to find a weapon capable UAV for RED forces.

just need to sort out the sniping from the ski stuff now

couple of small bugs with rotors (bending, no alpha on blur) and seating (Mh6J), glass (AH6X)

Added: Mi28NE cargo compartment for its 2 passenger capability as per real life (Pook)

Fixed: dome colouring in different textures

Fixed: AH6 rotating miniguns

Fixed: weird seat in middle of MH6J

Added: GPS/INS to EH6E and AH6M

Added: right click gunner action to EH6E, so pilot can hover and lase targets with camera.

Fixed: rotor bending animation

To do (minor):

Mi28 random numbering, faction emblems, clan tags

Fix AH6 rotor blur alpha texture, EH6E glass crystallisation, AH6J rotor bending

6. add GPS/INS targeting computer to armed helis (for mykes weapons)

7. add spec op cargo weapons (see our littlebirds for examples)

8. add firing sniper rifle from door

9. add moving searchlights to chin and door guns

10. add door open sounds and door opening anims

11. add rope drop and rescue winch scripts

12. reskin desert, navy and woodland camo

13. add ESS proxies to be able to rearm them using script, and also make preconfigged armed versions, with:

- doorguns: GAU19, GAU2, M240H, mk19

- 4x racks: hellfire x4 (N,R and K variants) which track own laser

- FFAR pods x 19

- 2x racks for stingers

- droppable fuel tanks

- remote pod for M230 cannon

- 20mm forward facing cannon

- twin gau2 m134 miniguns

- twin gau 19 50 cal triple barrel miniguns

I've sent yurapetrov a PM to see if we can work with his mod, and develop it, but otherwise we'll have to edit the stock stuff.
