[4thID] 4th Infantry Division TRU - Recruiting now!

Recommended Posts

Hello Soldiers! I am 2LT S.Golding of the 4th Infantry Division TRU for Arma 2 and Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead.

The 4th Infantry Division is a relatively new unit, however it is not new to the Arma 2 Community, nor the TRU and MilSim aspect. We currently have 2 members from the start, and are looking to expand massively, with giving each new member a taste of MilSim aspect.

We have close ties with the 11th ACR and the 4th Special Forces Group, and also at times do some cross unit training.

What we have to offer?:

  • Every new recruit has to go through a Basic Combat training. This will involve the basics of Arma 2 movement, with an obstacle course, firing range, grenade practice and movement as a squad, with a final tactical exercise.

  • After BCT, you will go through Advanced Individual Training, which is used to hone more onto the Infantry skills needed within the unit, more firing range practice on all squad level weapons, Urban Combat training with house clearing and town and village clearance and securing.

  • Every MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) has a different level of training. For example, a mortarman will concentrate more onto mortar training than he will for flying. Same with the Anti-Tank, they will concentrate more onto the Anti-Tank training than with the rifleman training after BCT and AIT.

What sort of jobs are available?:

Well, within the 4th ID, there are different combat units to choose from. As we are still a new unit, a lot of these are closed due to low numbers and not enough man power, however, when more members are gained, and the leadership capability expanded, then we can move on to the more specialist units.

So far, on the books there are:

  • Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment

  • Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 66th Armor Regiment

  • Alpha Flight, 3rd Assault Battalion, 4th Aviation Regiment

Currently, the 66th Armor Regiment is closed until further notice, with the Infantry and Airwing needing to be filled to at least a platoon/flight strength.

If You think you have what it takes to apply for the 4th Infantry Division, and become a part of the Ivy Division, then send in your application on our forums!

4th Infantry Division Newsreel!

We are proud to announce that we are opening recruitment for the 4th Aviation Regiment, 3rd Assault Battalion under CW3 S. Downes.

The role of the 4th Aviation Regiment is to supply CAS runs via the AH-64 Apache and the OH-58D Kiowa. It is also tasked with supply reinforcements and supply drops using the UH-60 Blackhawk, CH-47 Chinook and the C-130 Hercules.

All of these roles will require special training and will all be provided supplied you register your interest with the 4th Aviation Regiment and you pass BCT.

We also have groundcrew roles available, should you wish to be apart of the Aviation department, but don't necessarily want to fly as you haven't found your flying feet yet.

These roles are including, driving the re-arming and re-fuelling trucks to aircraft that have landed away from the auto point on the airfield, (such as an improvised airfield marked by the pathfinders), to operate weapon systems on both the Chinook and Blackhawk and to assist on the loading and unloading of cargo from the Hercules and the Chinook.

If you think you have what it takes to be a part of the 4th Infantry Division and to help if the war against the Takistani militia, then register on our forums and post an application form!

Thank you for taking the time to read our newsreel.
