Weekly Mission & Unit Report

Clan update

Currently our numbers in recruits have moved up quite a lot, we are very happy to take in new members into the unit and start shaping them into professional virtual soldiers. On another note our website have been fully updated and fixed and we are very happy to thank -{GOL}-Tengu for this effort, he has spent more than enough on our servers and our website to earn our eternal appreciation.

Another note we have also started playing many operations of smaller kinds during the weeks, not official main operations or campaigns but smaller special missions here and there, we invite anyone to join us during these operations. One set time is Tuesdays at 21.00 GMT+1, ACE + ACRE needed to play!

Operation Cherno Freedom I 10-11-2012

The first mission of Cherno freedom, our job was to move into the south-west area of Chernarus to secure a beachhead for marine reinforcements. 1 Platoon moved in and secured the three coastal villages as well as Balota Airfield which led to the possibility to open up a foward base. The Marines took 7 casualties on this high profile assault, 2 civilians were killed at the assault at Kamenka by a missile from an Marine Cobra. The mission was successful and the impact on civilian popularity is low yet the 2 deaths are not unnoticed.

The Insurgent Chedaki have clearly underestimated the capability of NATO forces to secure the coast, the Chedaki now have no room to execute a counter-offensive which confirms that the first phase of our intervention was a success.

Weekly Mission & Unit Report

Clan update

Another report from GOL, we have currently fixed new XML's for our signatures in-game. We have also nominated 2 players from the unit to help make decisions in the unit, and they have decided that the ACOG sight will return to our kits and the availability of M4's together with our M16 with various sights, also we have now the option to take different sidearms, all in all the biggest change is our weapon loadout which our unit now surrounds itself with.

Other news it that we have a big amount of new recruits and are going through with training them into hardened virtual soldiers, all going very well. We have also started playing more missions during the week, enjoying the fruits of our organization!

Operation Yuri 19-11-2012

Marine landing on Lingor island, Insurgent occupied the south-eastern side of the continent and are harassing the populace. Our task is to move in and secure the area, the footage available for you shows the first engagement.

Weekly Mission & Unit Report

Clan update

News from the Clan front is that new weapons have been listed in the standard loadout, we have added plenty of different versions of the US Carbines and Rifles. M4A1's, M16's and M4's are now available with scopes such as the Aimpoint, Acog and Holographic. Another note on the clan front is that a new map have been put into the clans map pack, the map is called Sangin Province, Helmand Valley "Hellskitchen" and it is a brilliant map.

Campaign front, we have now played 4 missions on the campaign "Cherno Freedom" and the last two operations have failed, our platoon have not been able to successfully complete all objectives during the time frame of the mission, the Chedaki Insurgents have not yet taken this opportunity to launch a counter-offensive so the Marines standby for another assault on the Insurgent held positions.

Op Cherno Freedom III

One of the Recent parts of our campaign, third mission out of four. Our job was to move into the center side of Chernarus to relieve the pressure on the Chernarussian Defense Force.

We assaulted 3 villages heavily defended by Insurgents, Pusta was an easy assault it was not nearly as heavily guarded as the other objectives. Task Echo was to insert via MV-22 Osprey to the south of Pusta, this was successful and after completion 1st Platoon adjusted their course for Task Foxtrot, Pusta itself.

Pusta was secured with only one casualty, after pusta was secured a medical vehicle was inserted to aid in the medical aspect of the platoon. 1st Platoon launched a combat patrol towards Task Zulu the town of Mogilevka. Mogilevka proved to be a challenge but was cleared in the end, reinsertion of supplies and another patrol towards task Sierra the town of Vyshnoye.

Vyshnoye failed to fall after relentless fighting, airstrikes went off in the town and the civilian populace have turned against us, a incident with destroyed property and murder of civilians have now turned the nearby villages to the north against the NATO intervention. This meaning that further resistance will be met during the campaign towards the north.

Weekly Mission & Unit Report

Clan update

Clan update, we have recently gained quite a lot of members and we are very happy about this, it has been fun to gain more members to enlarge our community. We have not changed many things during the last week yet we have soon completed our first campaign in Arma 2 which have been fun, it's been a challenge and soon a new campaign awaits us. Another change in the mission editing section is that we have started to play more patrol missions on Sangin to give more realism to the game, we've also added plenty of IED's and Mines which require us to have a dedicated mine detector with us on patrol. It's been a great test of skill and we have learned from it.

Our War

This mission was a quickly designed for the British Armed Forces, our job was to send combat patrols into enemy territory and strike the Takiban in Sangin, in this scenario it backfired and we got caught out in the open. After failing this turn, we retreated and we learned. Ambushes and reactions towards it have been changed!

Great set of fun and still looking for more players to join the adventures.

Weekly Mission & Unit Report

Clan update

Recently our group voted on a secondary faction on weekday missions, three choices were the top ones in order United Nations > Russia > Insurgents. I will now design missions around these as well as our original Marine missions. On other fronts, we have just ended our last mission of the Cherno Freedom Campaign. Other events such as teams gathering for the Rolling thunder is also in motion, some of our members have signed up for it and practice every week.

Patrol

Last mission we patrolled around in Sangin Province, searching for the Takiban and their weapons to better suppress their hold of the region. This patrol lasted for a few minutes until we were met with a group of Takiban 200 meters away. Engaged and taken down, we secure their weapons and move on. In the end it was a very short mission, we also failed to realize another threat..

Weekly Mission & Unit Report

Clan update

Christmas, it's here. We're all gone while our missions are none, rifles and grenades dropped by our own maids. Terrible Christmas text yet here the Clan sits. We have suspended some operations because of the festivities most people go to. A second faction was recently picked for weekly missions, this faction is now Insurgents which allows us to play as the Takiban or the Chernarussian Chedaki on weekday ops!

The Hulk Squad

Recently our unit played a weekly mission, our last voted faction was the UN and so we played with that faction. Our mission was to deliver food supplies and other things to our brethren in Zargabad. Did not go as expected and we ended up with a premature ending.. after 5 minutes. Lovely gameplay it was!

Guerillas of Liberation wish you all a Merry Christmas.

Weekly Mission & Unit Report

Clan update

A big change have happened within the clan Guerrillas of Liberation. We have now switched to another faction and another tactic. We have now switched to play as a Russian Mechanized unit. We have now undergone a massive change of ranks, and created new templates for the new faction. We have very high hopes for the switch to mechanized Russian infantry because we believe it is a sort of gameplay that is hard to find within the Arma community. This means that our aircorp have been shutdown until further notice and we now use the BMP-2D as our main platform. We have great hopes for this type of warfare and we hope you will check it out.

Старые пÑÑ‹

A recent mission, "The old dogs" was a mission designed to be played with Russian mechanized infantry, so this video shows a great example on the new warfare we will be using, the amount of relentless aggressive brutality of our 30mm canon fire and the blazing of our AK's! It was a great mission, enjoyed it very much.

Enjoy

Weekly Mission & Unit Report

Clan update

Recently our unit moved over to playing the Russian faction, this have been a very nice experience. We have used the BMP-2D as our main platform and we've totally crushed the Takistani Army. Other notes we have also started using the signature system to verify mods. This increases server performance!

Russian Steel Swarm

This mission was played by 6 players.

Oksman, Reece, Pregel (Tank 1)

Gavrilov, Daltorn, Archer (Tank 2)

Our mission: Breach through the Iraqi Lines! We did and the story was awesome. Check it out!

Weekly Mission & Unit Report

Clan update

We have now implemented more variation in our week day operations. This means on free time we play anything we want, including other factions and types of warfare. The Russian Motorized front is going forward the clan is currently getting better and better at performing with vehicles.

Bastogne

We don't always play standard ACE/ACRE Arma, we also play I44! This is an example of the missions we sometimes play during the week, hint that week missions if met with the right addons will be able to join and play with us!

Weekly Mission & Unit Report

Clan update

We have recently concluded that parts of an Aircorp will arise and support the unit through the missions, using russian weaponry and different tactics we will be able to support the ground forces with ease! Other than that we are all still longing for playing as the NATO in Arma 3.

Op Red Hand II

Here is our first video of our Russian Motorized campaign, we play as the russians and we invade takistan for a change! Pretty darn explosive if you ask me, check it out!

Weekly Mission & Unit Report

Clan update

Our unit has now officially moved to Russian VDV Airborne, we played as the Russian Motorized a while to test out it's capabilities but we found out that it wasn't our type of warfare. We now go back to playing as Airborne/Air assault however with a twist. We still play as the Russian Federation! We are happy to be one of the few that actually play as Russia but is based in the UK. This means you don't have to speak russian to join up the Federation Forces!

Russian Flight Training

Here is a bit of a teaser on what the pilots of GOL go through when they are selected for air training, these new candidates are being drilled into learning the many aspects of flying together with me. It's been great trying out the new tactics the Russian forces must implement to be efficient with their types of Airframes!
