A2F Mission Pack has been updated to 1.1

-Added 1 new mission CO 02 Vyshie Coverfire.

-The HVT in Bloody Lake not spawning in one of the 3 random position is now fixed. Before he would always spawn in the closest area all the time. Now there is a 33% probability that he will spawn in one of the 3 position.

-The extraction time in Drugs Confiscation had been reduced from 3 minutes of sitting in a helo to 30 seconds

DISCLAIMER & WARNING: Zargabad Genocide will require a very very powerful computer to run. Many many AIs in this mission and civilians being slaughtered here and there. Many things will be exploding and light on fire as you try to escape Zargabad.

Flash of the Blade Feruz sometimes may had a little issue where you teleport to the hostage and instant free him from captivity (it happened once or twice during my testings) but it doesn't happen too often. Restarting can sometimes be the fix to that. I doubt it's me, but it could be the script I got off armaholic, but I don't know at the moment.

Vyshie Coverfire hasn't been tested through the whole way.

Problem found with Vyshie Coverfire. Unfortunately, the mechanized infantry tactics script was causing large large desyncs that it became unplayable. I'll release a bug fix as soon as possible to remove that script to fix the issue.

Mission Pack A2F & ACE updated to 1.11

- Removed Mechanized Infantry scripts from Vyshie Coverfire. It was causing massive desync issue and it wasn't optimized for MP

- Remove protect the boss in Vyshnoye from Vyshie Coverfire. He is going to die an inevitable death anyways (mainly from friendly fire grenades)

I have released 2 new mission packs. Both of them contain 4 missions each (well technically 2). 2 missions for lingor and the other 2 are dingor converts. Check the first post for download links. The 2 missions are whorehouse invasion (coop 10) and prison busters (coop 5).

I probably won't be working on missions for a while from now because of school, I just decided to wrap these one up for release so enjoy :D

Phantom, it's waaaay too dark in prison busters. it's actually unplayable.

I'll try to fix up some of the problems once I get some time, unfortunately school can be pretty time consuming plus sports so probably once the season ends for a bit.

By the way, I just checked it up really quick. I forgot to change the default parameters to Sunrise or Sunset so you're going to have to manually adjust the settings on the parameters button yourself. Was there anything else that was unplayable?

I set it on midnight for testing purposes but the default mission setting was suppose to be sunrise. I put a parameter for players to set it to sunset or sunrise (you probably won't notice too much a difference but there's sunlight that you can see).

- You now start on land for whorehouse invasion so you can have access to ammobox

- Choosing gear during briefing removed and you now choose your gear through an ammobox due to ACE having problems with putting stuff in your rucksacks during briefing

- Trimmed down a few AIs in whorehouse invasion, plus you no longer have to rescue women as they're removed to increase performance

Your missions are lovely created and some of them got a high re-play value.

Some issues I found (ACE custom pack)

I was on a SCUD Rampage with a fellow yesterday. Unfortunately we experienced that sometimes the scuds were missing. Especially if the target is to destroy 1 or 2 scuds, there weren't any. Searched the whole perimeter. But hey, scuds aren't that little that we could have missed them.

Is this issue know?

Btw. Vishny Coverfire may receive some tweaks regarding the strength of the own and opposing forces. After defending the mighty hometown everything went a little bit too easy. The AI buddies cleared both "sobors" quite fast that everything we needed to do is to "clean" 1 to 2 MG Nests.

Anyway: Cool mission, a lot of fun, ACE (important for me). Thx!

Hmm, I haven't had the SCUD missing issues. I usually scan the area with a TWS scoped weapon or a Rangefinder at the town to see if the little warheads stick out or not. You probably missed them if they're hidden somewhere. If you don't see them then... (check spoiler)

12 scuds are in the base (shouldn't miss those); 3 scuds are either in the base in between the barracks, in town around the middle OR the northeastern side; 2 scuds are either in the small red circle area with barely any enemies (easy picking) or in the bottom right corner of the base (near the dot where the 12 scuds would be); 1 scud is in the base INSIDE the warehouse

If the scuds are truly missing, then the objectives should probably be ticked as completed from the beginning and you'd be able to board the chopper and extract even before the mission start.

As for Vyshie Coverfire, what do you suggest? I'd figure defending the town in the beginning would be hard and I'd thought the enemies might use some RPG shots at the reinforcement allies taking the sobors. I didn't wanted to throw the players from one hell to a 2 man force alone taking the sobors. The reinforcements against both sobors would the resistance comeback after the Chedakis have failed to take over Vyshnoye. I was thinking of more so the 2 snipers support fire and get rid of MG nests and RPG gunners but I guess they got mowed down.

What would be your suggestion? Lessen the numbers of allies reinforcement?

That mission is great as it is Phantom, but if you are after making the Sobors part a bit harder, stop the friendly AI assault at the outskirts of the sobors and have some stationary enemy in the heart of the towns, forcing the human player breach through.

I never intended to make the Sobor part hard much unless people wanted it to be more. I only planned the defense as the hard part.

ACE Pack and Combined Ops pack updated with 3 new missions. ACE now on version 1.4 and CO on version 1.3

Missions added: Baby Bird (4 pilots fly little birds and take over Bastam with guerilla support and UAV). Also includes 31 player coop version where you can also play as guerillas. Shahkar Rises, basically a quick remake of the very first mission I ever made for ARMA but now with no revive/respawn.

I know that those balancing things are the hardest part in mission design.

From what I saw, these few things might be helpful to improve this wonderful mission:

- Place a trigger around Sobor region detecting the players presence and then let the reinforcements in Rugovo start their attack. This gives the player team the extra time they need to go from Vyshny Castle to the Vyshnoye (check if everything is ok, collecting gear etc.) and go to the target zone. I like to scout a lot before deciding to attack, especially in a mission like yours.

- Let the attack group stop in the outskirts of stary sobor and fire at the troops in town until they are decimated to around 30% or use a radio trigger for the player (just like the IED Call), then proceed to inner town. The mission description says the player characters are some higher rank NAPA fighters. So they might have some control over the ongoing attack? Just as a suggestion. :)

I hope this helps. Please don't misunderstand. Your missions are damn good. But everywhere is room for improvement. :)
